He ran several tests to make sure he had fixed the issue and was very friendly during his visit. I would give this company 0 stars if I could. We called in Nov or Dec of 2025 to have our ice maker replaced because it stopped working and the Samsung refrigerator told us via the self diagnostics that the ice maker needed to be replaced. We called A Nova appliance. They first came out in Jan of 2026. $149 service fee to diagnose what was wrong. Told us they would order the part. Gave us an estimate and said part would be in in a week. That was 1/19. In Feb they called and said that the wrong part was ordered and they needed to reorder. They came out 3/31 to replace the ice maker. It worked fine. For a while. Then the small nugget side stopped working, about a week after it stopped working the actual ice mold came out of the ice maker and parts of the mold were cracked. We called A Nova back and let them know. They scheduled for a tech to come out for 7/5. They called 6/24 and said someone could come out 6/26. Tech came out and obviously said yes it needs to be replaced again. We informed him of the last few times and replacement etc and figured it would still be under warranty because the contact states 90 days. We apparently it's 90 days from whenever they ordered the part not when they actually installed the part and only 30 for labor. We tried to explain how this isn't exactly fair to the customer since it wasn't installed and in our home until April. They said they won't honor any kind of warranty on the part or labor and to replace the broken ice tray would be regular price which we paid over $500 for in the first place in Jan. We called the manager of the location and were told that they would not honor any kind of warranty or cover any of the cost to install a new tray. The manager got loud over the phone and insisted that the ice maker that they installed isn't due to anything that the tech did wrong during installation. After telling the manager that the yelling and talking loud and over us on the phone make them sound incompetent they hung up on us. This business is unprofessional, doesn't stay by their work or the products they install. read more

They charged $140 just for diagnosis while I told them the problem. More importantly, didn't mention this fee when initially contacted them. On top of that, asked for $200+part cost for changing the water valve! When called and complained, insisted that they mentioned this fee when scheduled while I'm sure they didn't. I have used A-Nova for both my Viking and Dakor ovens in recent years. I had to wait several moths for the part for the Viking and they were very apologetic. We have 2007 double Viking ovens. The broil element in the bottom oven was fixed by A-Nova Appliance in November 2024 in a timely and professional manner. We have had no problem with our bottom oven ever since. Now, the same part has failed in our top oven and we are again having A-Nova do the repair. Expect they will do as excellent of a job. The same technician has come to our house for both repairs and is very knowledgeable. There is a wait for parts. Can understand why this would be frustrating for folks who do not have a working appliance while they wait. Cost of repair has gone up by over $200 which is why I have given 4 instead of 5 stars. read more

Requested service was for a Viking refrigerator. Setting the appointment is easy but they are always short on appointments so usually a wait of 2 - 3 weeks and if they have to order a part to solve the issue then it's potentially another 2 -3 weeks for them to come back and fix it. Technician is knowledgeable on Vikings and easily sees the issue, and tries to help as best as possible but in the end there is a waiting period to get the issue resolved. read more

If I could give them ZERO stars I would. My husband called A-Nova on December 23 and explained our Blue Star Stove, which was under warranty, had a failed oven igniter. This is something we were able to diagnose ourselves. Alternately, a technician could have done so over the phone. A-Nova told us the first availability for service was three weeks away! We had family coming for Christmas dinner and New Year's, but we decided to readjust our plans so that we did not need to use the oven. On January 6th the day they were to come, we had a heavy snow. Instead of coming the following day, we were informed that A-Nova only comes to our area on Mondays so we would have to wait another week. This meant a wait of one MONTH for the initial service call! When the technician finally showed up he took about 3 minutes to tell us what we had already told A-Nova--the oven needed a new igniter. Unfortunately, despite our requests, he did not bring the igniter with him. He said he would need to order one. He assured us he should have it by the end of the week and if possible. he would be back in a few days or at the latest the following Monday. A day or so later I called the manufacturer to complain about the poor warranty service. They told me no part had been ordered by A-Nova for my stove! So Blue Star ordered it for me. We called A-Nova Friday to confirm they would be coming on Monday. That is when they told us they had indeed received the part (which I ordered, not them!), but they were booked up so we would have to wait another THREE weeks for the repair! That would have meant two MONTHS without an oven! Two months for a simple repair is UNSATISFACTORY! In the end I called Blue Star again. They were kind enough to send the part to me and offer to reimburse me for the repair if I could find another vendor to repair the stove. With the part now in hand, I called another appliance repair firm in my area with high YELP ratings. The technician was at my house within an hour and had the part replaced in 15 minutes! He told me I hadn't needed to order the part as it is one he routinely stocks. He said he had ten (10) in his truck! DO NOT USE A-NOVA. Their customer service is non-existent. read more

I purchased a viking range which after being delivered one of the burners wasn't working. Viking sent this company to have the burner fixed. The guy who came over was pleasant enough but didn't fix the problem. When I called them back they told me the guy who fixes ranges only comes to DC once a week. I have a busy job and decided to address the problem later and called Viking and asked them to send another vendor not A-Nova because clearly they weren't competent enough for me and lacked enough cerebral gray matter to do the job right. The Viking range also had one of the iron grates chipped. When A-Nova delivered a new one, it was also chipped because of poor packing. They are useless through and through. read more

Company sent first repair person to work on a brand new fridge. He came in my home ready to blame us for the problem. He pretended he knew what the issue was. A-Nova sent 2nd repair person. He might have figured out the issue but since he was alone, he had to move the fridge all the way out. Back and forth and sideways- with wheels that only go one way. Therefore he gouged our brand new wood floor. Issue still not resolved. Ordered replacement fridge. Repair person came back and still didn't fix the problem. A-Nova took weeks to admit fault. We got an estimate to repair the floor but A-Nova refused to pay for two workmen to move the fridge. They withheld money. The reason they gouged the floor is because the lone repairman had to move the fridge by himself. This is not the way a professional company resolves a problem that they alone created. At first he said he couldn't get it, then when I checked online and found it at an online parts store(Sears Parts Direct), he said that they are very unreliable and it I would be wasting my money to buy a part from them, and I would never get the part. The part came four days early in the mail. I called and made an appointment for NOVA to install it. So I rushed home from visiting my wife in the hospital to let the repairman in. When he didn't show up on time I called NOVA to see where he was. He then told me that it was a 9 to 11 window. Then he got mad at me when I informed him that he had not told me that before. Worst service I have ever received over the 44 years of living in Alexandria. I needed to have my lower oven broiler element replaced in my Viking oven. I paid to have an A-Nova technician come out and tell me he couldn't do the work because his dolly-cart wouldn't fit in close enough to the oven to lift it out. (Oven is in corner.) A-Nova said I would need to have installers come out and remove the oven. Leave the oven out and call A-Nova and they would come repair it. After A-Nova repaired it, I would then need to call installers to put the oven back. I couldn't find any installers and A-Nova offered no help in finding one. I fortunately called Top Notch Appliance, they sent 2 servicemen and moved the oven out changed the lower oven broiler burner and moved the oven back in place. All this in 25 minutes. This company is the worst. I only used them because I had a high end appliance that they were one of the only companies authorized to fix. The problem is they couldn't fix it and kept having to schedule appointments over a week out. It dragged on and on. When they were on site the technician wasted my time by spending a half hour arguing with some dispatcher over his bluetooth headset. Then he would spend a little time trying to fox the appliance before making excuses and leaving. He also didn't bring the proper tools for the job and kept asking me for things. Any one of the issues I experienced would have been fine if he actually fixed the appliance. But if he's not going to even fix it then there is no way I'm going to put up with all of this. read more

This business appears to use "independent contractors" as service technicians. The initial technician came to our house to repair a 3 year old Bosch dishwasher and told us we needed a new pump. He returned a week or so later with the pump, only to tell us he had the wrong pump. He came back 2 more times, eventually told us the control board had to be replaced, but since the dishwasher was "10-15 years old" he couldn't get the part. He got hostile when we told him the dishwasher was only 3 years old and left. We finally got an employee of A Nova to come out. He knew what he was doing and after 2 visits he replaced a small part. The dishwasher now (apparently) runs. In all, 6 visits (a lot of effort on our part to get the repairs scheduled and arrange to have someone present) and 7 weeks later we appear to have a working dishwasher. Repairing a 3 year old dishwasher should not be this difficult. I have since contacted Bosch and they have supplied me with their factory trained repair persons to use in the future. read more

Thank you A Nova!!!! My refrigerator compressor stopped working (Jenn Air built-in that I didn't want to have to replace). After more than three weeks with another repair company, a lot of headaches and no results, I called A Nova. A Nova was timely with their arrivals (both Harold and Jed), got the parts, and replaced the compressor on my built-in Jenn Air within two weeks total time from the first call. It took a total of two visits. First visit was confirmation for the broken parts, second visit was the repair. Staff was courteous and professional. Could communication internally with all the A Nova folks be better? Yes, a little. But Harold was always responsive to my questions and helped keep the ball rolling to get the parts and the repair scheduled and completed. I would recommend A Nova to anyone looking for honest service and with fair pricing. read more

Should of trusted the bad reviews. Had a scheduled appointment from 11-3. Took the entire day off to be home. By 2pm, no word from the company. Called them only to find out that the tech would be there closer to 3-3:30. By 5pm, still no show. Left voicemail at office. Never heard from anyone. Called next day to find out what happened. Was told they had the wrong number, either way... the tech showed up after 5pm (allegedly) when we had already left the house. Not interested in making another appointment. Estimates run $120 and are not applied to the work if you do use them. Definitely an unprofessional and unreliable company. Update: I've sat on this review for a week to decide whether or not to post it. I just received a call from the technician, 1 week later mind you, telling me he was running late and wouldn't make it to my house before 5. I asked him to clarify since we didn't make another appointment with the company (they offered to reschedule but we declined) and it seems like they screwed up again... and also not surprisingly, were running over 2 hours late AGAIN outside their window. read more

We had a very positive experience with A Nova Appliance. The ice maker on our sub-zero fridge was producing massive blocks of ice due to a leak. Zahare at A Nova evaluated the problem during his first visit, ordered the part, and returned to replace the part during his second visit. The first visit took no more than 15 minutes, and the second visit took about 45 minutes. He also called us after the second visit to confirm that the ice maker had started producing ice. The customer service, attentiveness, efficiency, and work quality exceeded expectations, and we would highly recommended their services. read more

So had a different tech come out two times for my Viking stove that didn't heat well and smelled of gas before A Nova came out with my home warranty company. The arrival window was 3 - 7pm, and the tech showed up at 7:05pm, and was here for an hour and a half. On the good note, A Nova was the first of the three to actually diagnose what was wrong with it. On a bad note, it took a month for parts to come in to fix it, but that was on Viking. So parts come in, I confirm my appointment the morning of, take off work from 3 - 7 again, and no one shows up until 7:20. 7:20 he started work and left at 10:26. The tech has had to take 3 calls of other techs asking him questions. And they charged my card this am, before the work was done. Not cool! I originally gave them 2 starts for being late twice, but upped it to 4 stars because the tech seemed generally interested in fixing my stove for good, and for being the only ones to figure out the solution, but they need to step it up on their customer service. I would have much preferred being told this will take a while and scheduling an earlier appointment, but hey - they fixed it in the end! read more

Stay away from these people, they are a bunch of scam artist. A guy name Z showed up to fix a diverter part for my Viking dishwasher and billed me $99 then calls me back and says apart is not available. Then calls me back and says get it from eBay and I will install the part for $150. I buy the part he shows up and starts haggling to get more money. Starts whining and complaining how hard it is to install this part pulls the dishwasher out installs the part incorrectly and scratches my hardwood floor, damages another part, finally after an hour or two installed the diverter part then asked for his money and leaves. I start the dishwasher and it starts leaking. I called the guy back and he starts cursing and then hangs up. I called and Nova appliance and they said they have no recourse for this because they hired contractors to do the job and they are not responsible. Eventually I end up spending $1500 to buy another dishwasher. I am very upset, angry at the service ANOVA Appliance provides to his customers. While doing repairs that technician broke the glass panel on the drier (the panel was broken from the inside and there has been nobody else who opened up the drier ever). Very frustrating experience with this company. Had work done on Viking refrigerator. The biggest problem is that the technician consistently ran late for appointments even when he knew that I resided in a bldg where he had to have work completed by 4:30pm. This happened at least 3 times. There was one time where I missed a funeral due to his inability to make it on time. Don't even think about elevating, the receptionist won't tell you who you can speak to and it just appears that no one cares. I will never use them again the frustration that it caused was unlike any service experience I have ever had. Tech is pleasant enough guy but from a service perspective it was horrible. read more

My newly installed Zephyr range hood was not working. I had a technician from this company out to my home. It was determined 2 parts had to be replaced. I was contacted when the parts came in. I set up an appointment for repair weeks in advance. I am a nurse so taking time off in the day is not easy. My window for repair was 11:00 - 3:00. I work in the surgical area with patients so do not have my phone with me while working. I took off at 10:00 (my phone now on) and was home by 10:30 waiting for the technician. Approximately 1:30 I had not heard from anyone. I called the company who contacted the technician Z..r (not sure of the spelling of his name). Mel...(again not sure of the spelling of her name) the person following up, called back and casually said "your not going to like this but the technician wanted to come out early but you didn't answer your phone so we'll need to reschedule" I explained to Mel...I WAS home in plenty of time for the scheduled appointment. When making the appointment I explained why I wouldn't have my phone with me at work but If a message was left I would call back. No message was left. I asked to speak with the manager. M stated she would contact him. I didn't hear back and called her. Her response was "he's under the weather so isn't in today." I told M the technician could come any time today but I wasn't off again freely for a month and again, I WAS there for my window of time. I was told " well the technician is out of your area now so you need to reschedule." I will give this company a 0 - and DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM. read more
