The entire staff was very helpful in getting my purchase safe and in driving condition. Got hit from behind and got a large scuff on back bumper. I looked around for some estimates and couldn't believe the cost! I always pass by this place on my way home, but the sign is pretty hard to see. It's hard to see, but it's right across from the old Sizzler, near the CVS. I decided to drop by and ask them for an estimate and what they gave me was extremely reasonable, unlike the other body shops. I initially talked to and older guy who said, come on in and bring it to the back. Then he directed me to Greg who took a quick look and then worked out a deal with me. He initially said 2-3 days, but to my surprise it took one day! I dropped off on wed night and it was done by thursday night. Too bad I had to keep my car rental for another day, but it's still great that I could get my car back in 1 day! Super fast. Now the car. I thought the scuff was pretty deep, but these guys did a great job on the paint. In fact, they even gave it a wash and my car looks like it did from the dealer again. I couldn't even tell that the car had a large scuff. I probably wouldn't have gotten it back faster from Sam's Auto Land down the street either. Not to mention they charge an arm and a leg for their work. I'd say take your business here. A-One will take good care of you. BTW, they also have an oil change special which is a pretty good deal. 17.95 for oil and filter change. Not bad in my book. I badly scratched the bumper on my new car with the garage door, and went to Yelp for a body shop close by. A-One Auto Center was one of the places I contacted for an estimate. I only have good things to say. First of all, getting the estimate was easy. Over the phone, they were responsive and straightforward. They asked me to send pictures of the damage via email and gave me an estimate, which was lower than any place else I contacted. Greg, who I dealt with the most, explained everything very well. He walked me through what they would do step by step, and what to expect. As a woman who doesn't exactly know much about cars, I felt at ease and in good hands. What started out as one of the absolute worst days of my life ended in a BIG positive. The day started off with hitting a bicyclist and messing up my month old Hyundai. I went to a body shop in Carson at the referral of the salesman who sold me the car. They were going to charge me $500! I googled "Gardena Auto Body Shops" and the first body shop that pops up.. A-ONE Auto Center.. I called and was told to bring my car and speak to Peter, the owner. Peter was very understanding and offered to fix my car for an unheard of cost. I was hoping that's all I needed to get done. The guy who looked at my car and helped me was sooooo extremely nice and explained to me that I needed an oil change but also recommended that I rotate my tires. I could tell he wasn't just saying that so I would spend more money, he was just looking out for my safety. The owner of A-One was also super nice and gave me a coupon for next time. I can honestly say that I'm a 100% satisfied customer. I definitely will recommend these guys to any of my family member when they get into accident. Not that I wish that upon any of my fam...well, actually.... Psych!! lol But really tho, they were very professional but at the same time they were real friendly and courteous. I needed to find a body/collision repair shop that I can trust; it has to have at least a 3.5 to 4 stars with great recent reviews. Also location was a big thing for me, it had to be near where I live cuz I didn't have AAA's roadside assistance and towing lay around like that. But they can also prepare a tow truck within a hour if you can not find anybody that can tow your car for you. Which my roommate had the AAA, so I lucked out this time. Anyways, you'll know how excellent their customer services and their fast and precise job on their repair; but before going to that, let's start from the beginning. I have an 2010 Toyota Avalon that I crashed about lil less than a year ago. I know I know, why did I take so long to repair my car right? Well, it was a very dark times for me... I got laid off from work few months prior to the crash. For the longer time, I was so unmotivated to look for a new job since I didn't take any vacation or have any time to do what I wanted to do for like 3-4 years. But when the crash happened, I only had few hundred dollars left to my name with few unpaid bills(insurance was one of them...) so I'm constantly reminding myself that I cannot get into any kind of accident or I'm pretty much fcuked in the ass... HARD!!! Then the unthinkable happened, I was working part-time at a bar and I had quit the job to focus only new day job. I got off the bar in the morning bright as hell already, tired as a mother... I was slapping myself to keep awake as I felt myself dosing off... And then..... BOOOOOOOMMMM!!! "(o.O;)'"?! ..(inside my head).. ....Ummm... Wait, why is the side of an El Camino attached to the front bumper of my car??? And why is that OG Cholo looking guy inside the El Camino cussing at me and coming out the car real fast?? .....Ohhhh shieeet.. Did I?? Nooooo, did this really just happen?? Please tell me I'm dreaming m... God? Why?? ...orz SMH FML... No need to state the obvious but my life had ended that day...lol Then the ice ages had started in my life. It was a cold and difficult times, felt like there was no hope on surviving this ordeal lol. I had to go everywhere with a bus but still paying for my car note.... Anyways, so basically for the longest time I was dead inside and out. I've gradually saved up my money to be able to afford the full repair cost but wanted to still save as much as possible. Then I found these guys. I e-mailed them to give me a free estimate and sent some picture of my car. The president of the repair shop called me within an hour asking if I can bring my car for an estimate. Since my car was undriveable I told him my situation and because I was near the shop, he came to me to give me an rough estimate. I had already gotten one estimate at that time for about 4000-4500 bucks somewhere else. He told me they can do it for less with a guarantee satisfaction. He then explain what they will do and could be done with my car in order to keep the cost down and still get what I want. How many presidents do you see in this day for them to go out their way to help a customer like me. But he kept his promise! My Car is as good as news for it didn't even cost $3000! I went here last Monday to get an estimate. I had just got done getting my car maintenance at the South Bay Toyota. They had found that my front brake linings needed to be replaced. They wanted to charge me $330. I thought that price was outrageous so I yelped for an auto body shop and this one popped up. Based on the good reviews, I went straight to this shop for an estimate. When I got there, Peter helped me out by examining my car. He thoroughly explained to me that I needed new brake pads and my disc resurfaced. He quoted me at $200. An hundred dollars cheaper! So I put the 50 dollar deposit done and I'm actually on my way right now to get my brakes fixed. I am thankful that I found this place on yelp. read more

I have a VW that needed a new water pump, I called everyone in the area because my mechanic who specialize in VW said he didn't have the tools to do that job, told me it will be expensive because the front end and engine has to be taken apart. I called for quotes and a few VW specialists said they can't do it either and told me the same thing that it's a lot of work. So I started calling general auto shops in the area, when I called A-ONE they told me it would be better to come in for an inspection before they gave me a quote since they are not a VW specialist, they were 10 mins away so I thought I'd let them check it out. Turns out they were fantastic, they told me all the work that needs to be done to replace a water pump, not only that they also recommended several other changes since they have to take apart the engine we might as change the thermostat and timing chain, total cost was $1500 which was on the lower end of what I was quoted from everyone else including VW specialists. A one year warranty on their work also gives me confidence in their work. Wait - almost forgot what Bob told me, he asked how long I had the car, told him I just bought it so he suggested I go back to the dealer because it's still covered under warranty, I called my dealer and was 3 days out of warranty - That's another reason I felt they were an honest business, they gave good advice even though it could cost them in lost business. As for the shop itself it's very large and clean, the waiting room is large and comfortable, I highly recommend A-ONE Auto Center! I was looking for a good l repair shop for my 40 foot diesel pusher motorhome with a Cummings 380 engine in it, because I was sick and tired from getting ripped off by "Authorized" Motorhome dealers and repair facilities. Called Peter from A-One and he told me to come in the next morning. Needed some minor repairs. Peter did a thourough inspection and found a leaking power steering pump and and my alternator was not charging correctly. He immediately got authorizations from my extended Warranty Company and fixed all problems within 3 days. The same repairs would have taken two weeks at the RV dealer I used before. I was able to call ahead and make an appointment without waiting for weeks or months like RV Service Departments usually take. When I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment they greeted me with hello's, smiles, and hand shakes. The service was fast, professional, and perfect. This was my first time using this shop and I wouldn't hesitate to come back with any future car problems. The problem started on a Wednesday evening when my car, a BMW 328i, wouldn't start (starter went out). I was going to take it to a shop nearby, but they didn't have space on their lot. Since I knew AAA was going to tow my car the next morning I had them look into A-ONE Auto and found out they were a AAA recommended repair shop. I towed my car in Thursday morning and met Andy and Peter. They ran a full diagnostic and called be back in the afternoon to let me know the starter was the issue. I was expecting to not have my car back until the following Monday or Tuesday since the part had to be ordered. However, they were able to work with their suppliers immediately to get the part there first thing Friday morning. They finished up the repair and I was able to pick up my car during my lunch break on Friday. They quoted me a fair price for the labor and part. Not to mention, there's a 10% discount if you're a AAA member and AAA warranties the repair for 2 years since they're a recommended mechanic. Overall the entire process was outstanding and Andy and Peter helped turn a very frustrating situation into a minor inconvenience. read more
