Really enjoyed this brunch restaurant. Stopped by to kill time before LACMA opened and it was the…read moreright choice. Cute little hole in the wall. Has limited seating inside and out so get there early if you can! I love the decor with the butterflies on the wall and they are playing chill jams. They have a cute chalkboard off the menu and a cool photo wall is celebrities who have visited. My fiancé and I tried the Huevos Rancheros plate, Peaches and Cream Waffle, and the Thai Style Fried Chicken plate. Along with their two drinks; Sunset Refresher & Blueberry Vanilla Cold Foam Matcha. Huevos Rancheros were a hit. To be honest I thought the dish to be a small serving at first. But it's actually a good portion. You get three tostadas stacked and layered with black beans and mozzarella and topped off with over easy eggs and salsa. I loved how the corn tortillas maintained their crunch and never got soggy. The habanero salsa that it came had a good KICK. Peaches and Cream waffle was good as well. It is seasonal so we jumped on the opportunity. Waffle was thick and fluffy that came with powdered sugar and cinnamon. The peaches were also thick and the sauce it came was light and sweet. Can never go wrong with ice cream and waffles. The Thai Style chicken was pleasant surprise. Before we ate the chicken, I tried a piece of the breading and I knew it was gonna be a good one. Lots of flavor from the tom yum seasoning and the chicken was a decent size. It's not spicy and comes with a sweet sauce to dip in. The bell peppers balanced out this dish. I was a fan of the sunset refresher. It's a mix of hibiscus, pineapple and lemonade. It's more tart than sweet but refreshing. The blueberry cold foam iced matcha was solid. Not too sweet and properly balance. Overall a good brunch spot with a large menu guaranteed to have you come back to try other things. A little pricey.

The dish came with soft whipped butter, sweet spicy chili sauce, and maple syrup on the side. We had to wait around 10-20 minutes to get seated but the servers were super attentive. The inside was much more boho and casual than I expected with some fake flowers on the wall and a fish aquarium. I wanna come back to try the Thai omelette and the waffle and lox!

Despite already having dozens of restaurants in LA sitting in my list of resaurants to try, I was…read moremore than happy to go with my gf's friend's suggestion to check out The Sycamore Kitchen for lunch. For one, I'll always defer to a friend's personal recommendation, but also, after perusing their photos on Yelp and seeing how good their food looked, we were immediately sold! Of course, it didn't hurt either that coming here was going to save me from the decision paralysis from trying to figure out which of my bookmarks to knock out first! Almost as soon as we walked up to this place, I was already enamored with The Sycamore Kitchen. Not only is the front patio area super cute and cozy, but the overall vibe felt so chill and relaxing. Inside, there was a relatively short line to order, but it actually gave us time to check out their display case of pastries and baked goods. However, as tasty as everything looked, we knew we had to order off their menu, which is chock full of dozens of dishes - breakfast/brunch plates, sandwiches, toasts, salads, bowls, weekend brunch specials, daily lunch specials, and so much more. In fact, there were so many things we wanted to try, we didn't know what we were getting until we got to the register (hello, decision paralysis!). -- WARM ALMOND FOCACCIA FRENCH TOAST with Fresh Strawberries, Homemade Whipped Cream, Maple Syrup...$17 This wasn't much to look at, but this was pretty good! The focaccia was so soft and flavorful and I loved the texture and bit of sweetness from the almonds. Plus, the coating and the thickness of the toast helped to keep it from getting soggy, too. -- BRAISED SHORT RIB SANDWICH - Griddled Sourdough, Melted Gruyere, Horseradish Aioli, Caramelized Onions, Side Salad...$19 I was torn between so many things, but this was definitely the right call. The sourdough was browned perfectly and the short rib, gruyere, onions, and aioli complemented each other so well. I easily (and gladly) could've eaten two of these! -- PASSIONFRUIT MINT AGUA FRESCA...$4.75 This was so, so good! The passionfruit in this was so good and I liked how the mint freshened up the flavors a bit. Plus, it was so refreshing and not all that sweet either! -- GINGER LIMEADE...$4.75 Not quite as good as the Passionfruit Mint Agua Fresca, but no less delicious. The hit of ginger in this wasn't overwhelming and went well with the tartness of the limeade. Beyond how good the food was and how friendly the workers are, the other thing I liked about The Sycamore Kitchen was how convenient it was to come here. Finding nearby parking was relatively easy and, despite the steady stream of folks that came in here, it always seemed like there was a table or two available. Given all of that, this place is the perfect spot to grab a bite, whether it be for breakfast or lunch during the week or brunch to kick off the weekend!

We got a quick lunch a couple of days ago and I've got to try their Chinese chicken salad, it's their version with a crispy chicken, and has peaches, it was pretty good. The modern, fast-casual spot features a wide array of baked goods (all looking fantastic) and a menu of all-day breakfast dishes, sandwiches, burgers, quiches, and a range of other options. You order at the counter with a friendly host, then wait at your table for a runner to bring your food, which arrives pretty quickly. The crowd is a mix of young parents with kids, Hollywood types having script meetings, and all sorts of friends having a meal and catching up. It's lively and a bit loud, but you can also sit outside if that suits you more. My wife and I both ordered breakfast for lunch, with her opting for a pancake. Large, malty and nicely cooked, this was a good-looking and filling flapjack that could be improved with the addition of fresh butter and warm syrup (rather than the pre-prepped plastic ramekin of room temp syrup). I ordered the Hashtag: a skillet of Hash Browns topped with Bacon, Cheddar, Jalapeños and a pair of Over-Medium Eggs. The potatoes were nicely crisped in the skillet, with the bacon adding a smoky depth that paired well with the richness of the cheddar and the spice of the jalapeño. The very-properly-prepared eggs had yolks just gooey enough to become a sauce for the layered hash below, and making for a very appealing savory/spicy bite. I also appreciated the size of the portion, which was moderate rather than over-abundant; that keeps the price reasonable and allows the components of the dish to work together without anything becoming overwhelming. In the end, Claudine is a reliable place for a casual meal with friends; a place where you can relax and feel at home while away from home.

You place your order at the register, then once you have a seat, they will call your name and you go and pick up your order. My food and beverage came out quick. Milton was another employee that was working with Gaby. He waa calling out our names for us to go and pick them up. Café was packed on a Saturday afternoon. A lot of young kids between the ages of 15 to 25. And then the baby boomers take a step forward..like myself. Well, something in between. They have extensive menu options from Sandwiches, Salads, Pastas of too many kinds, Bagels, some other appetizers that's on the menu ; categorized as Spotlight. Variety of Baked goods, and are known for their signature Egg Sandwich on Croissant. They also have many types of hot and cold beverages from Matcha, Mocha, Espresso,Hot Chocolate, Americano, Coffee, Latte, Tea & more. There were couple of things that I wanted to try like Eggs Benedict and Omelette, but they didn't have it. It's fine, when you are starving, you will settle for anything. So I went ahead and placed my order with Gaby. Got their famous Egg Sandwich on plain Croissant with: scrambled egg, tomato, lettuce, easy Mayo, and Avocado for $2.00 more. The Egg Sandwich was $16.00. I also got their IL TACCHINO-- (turkey sandwich), which came with roasted turkey with provolone cheese, crispy iceberg lettuce, sliced heirloom tomatoes, avocado and mayo. I opted for light pesto paste for the mayo. On a fresh Baguette (not toasted). If I wanted the bread to be toasted, I am sure they wouldn't have objected to it. ($18.00). My sandwich came with either chips or salad, I opted for salad with light Vinaigrette dressing. It was perfectly balanced. Oil, vinegar & wine. For a drink, I got their 24oz. Strawberry Mocha Iced decaf Latte, with an extra cup of ice. ($8.50). I do have to say that the Mocha dominated more than the Strawberry. It was totally fine with me, since I hadn't had a Mocha drink in a very long time. It was SUPER REFRESHING! Portions were plenty. Prices were fair, Food and my beverage was above and beyond fresh, flavorful and DELICIOUS!! No parking, only street and metered , one gender neutral restroom and a cute, small, lovely patio seating adjacent to the Café. Great music was playing overhead. 10/10. Will highly recommend, and can't wait to go back..very soon! Thank you all..
