    CURED SALMON TOAST
    Ji K.

Perfect spot to stop by and grab brunch while shopping in La. Had the cured salmon toast- it was fresh and well balanced. The café had a great atmosphere and the service was friendly.

I've lost track of how many times I've been to Sycamore Kitchen- it's so good! Food is always delicious and also on the healthier side, drinks are decent and pastries look amazing (these I've yet to try). My favorites are the Yucatán and Jerusalem Bowls. It's a great spot to catch up with friends or dine by yourself. Staff is also very friendly and accommodating. Lines can get long during the weekend, it's open seating but there's plenty of seating inside and outside so that's never been an issue in my experience. Street parking in the neighborhood or meters upfront recommended!

Had breakfast here for the first time this weekend. Came in right as they opened. I had the avocado toast and a side of chicken apple sausage. Everything was great. Worth noting that you order at the counter at this establishment and they bring the food to your table. Also a dog-friendly spot!

I had to take a trip to LA for an audition. It went very well hip hip hooray After finishing, I was hungry now my wife joined me for this trip. Nice day out beautiful ride. We found the Sycamore kitchen delightful attentive. My wife had her fluffy eggs with avocado. She was thoroughly happy They had pancakes and I'm a bit of a pancake snob. They were fantastic. My only recommendation is to ask for more syrup and it was good syrup, but yeah poor it all over those pancakes. They were hot when they were delivered to the table. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere delightful

Service was spot on. Parking is horrible when you see a spot grab it. Rookie mistake went on NBA all stars weekend and I think they all were on LA Brea when we went. The bar was my least favorite but the banana bundt cake I wish I bought more. I barely got a taste of the lemon as my son would not share. Cute place plan to come back for more items.

    Croque Madame and Yucatan Bowl
    Junior M.

First time here and this place is amazing. I have the Yucatan Bowl and it was not what I was expecting. The Bowl ended up being delicious. I had a piece of the croque madame and it's your normal sandwich that just taste o so good. The best part of this brunch, was seeing Jesse Williams (Greys Anatomy) walking in and eating there as well.

Excellent food! Love the Turkey Bahn Mi there! Not on traditional French bread but it is on delicious homemade brain bread. Also huge I share or two meals. Beautiful courtyard to eat in. Their specials are always good too. Everything is fresh and healthy! Excellent homemade breakfast breads, muffins, desserts etc Wonderful salads and homemade soups too! You will not be disappointed!

Very good sandwich spot! Cute outdoor area, amazingly executed sourdough bread grilled to perfection! Soup was very good too! Service was quick and professional Will come back.

I really enjoyed this spot! Went with the cured salmon toast, I do wish it was on a regular toast, they serve this on more of a toast cracker. It came with a side salad and as silly as it sounds that was a huge standout. It was simple but so perfectly seasoned and dressed which shows their care and attention. I also ordered an ice cubano and that was pretty delicious! Their dessert options are also quality. The space itself was so pretty and inviting, I 100% recommend and will be back

    Falafel bowls!
    Erika G.

I always make it a point to grab lunch here when I'm in town. The food is delicious with lots of healthy options (falafel bowl is always great) & the baked goods are divine. Ahem -I say again, the baked goods are DIVINE! If they have agua fresca (regardless what flavor it is) do yourself a favor & try it, so refreshing especially on warmer days. Generally pretty busy but service is quick, the line to order moves fast & there's lots of seating.

    Gabriela ..

We were surprised at how good their pastries are. The line was a bit of wait but the food was great. I'd definitely try it if I was in the area.

It's a very cute and cozy coffee shop and there was no line when we arrived. The menu had a huge selection of different coffee and tea drinks and also a seasonal menu. The staff were very kind and patient and swiftly prepared the Vienna Latte and Hojicha Latte we ordered. The Vienna Latte is so visually stunning, the layers of white milk, brown espresso, thick white cream, brown cocoa powder and Biscoff layered on top of each other against the dark green logo was so aesthetic. Having a sip before mixing the Vienna latter was incredible, the sweet cream followed with the nutty strong espresso flavour then getting a refreshing splash of milk made a great combo with the Biscoff. I actually liked the drink less after its all mixed because it was too creamy for my taste. (I normally like my coffee black) My hojicha latte was great, but it was also too milky for me. So I went up and asked if it would taste good dirty, with an espresso shot in it, and the barista said yes. I ordered an espresso shot and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me the add on espresso shot for the drink! ($1.50 instead of $4) It was very kind of them since it was absolutely my mistake for not ordering the right drink in the first place. The shot added much depth and flavour to the hojicha latte I was craving. Thanks for the wonderful service. I'm definitely coming back to try their other specialty drinks.

The green sauce was very vinegary with a slightly spicy kick. The burrito itself was not bad as it had all the right ingredients. It took about 10 minutes for the kitchen to prepare this order. Mason Latte (Double shot Espresso, whole milk, homemade brown butter caramel, sea salt - iced $7.75): This drink had to be mixed and shaken first. A solid latte and not too sweet. The flavor was a tad light, but not bad. *** While no food or drink in particular made this place stand out among all other amazing coffee shops in Los Angeles, this is still a solid all-around coffee shop in my book. This was one of the closer coffee spot with good reviews that I found near the kbbq place (Seogwan by Yellow Cow Kbbq) my family and I ate at for lunch. It was about 0.5miles (3 mins drive). The coffee shop is super large, bright, and has nice background music. There are plenty of seats for people to hang out or study. There are also street parking but can be difficult to cross the street due to cars driving by so quickly without a pedestrian crosswalk on one side. I ordered their signature drink which was the orange espresso tonic with one extra shot for my husband, and the double mango matcha for myself. Both of us really enjoyed the drinks, especially the orange espresso tonic. It was refreshing, clean, and easy to drink. Normally, they include double shots of espresso, which may have tasted stronger for me since my husband wanted three shots, and I usually stick with two shots. The double mango matcha uses fresh fruit syrup so the mango flavor was not too strong and my drink was very creamy due to the signature mango cream on top. Usually, I would enjoy a creamy matcha but it made me more thirsty on a hot day. The service took a bit of time since they had to mix my matcha the legit way with the bamboo whisk. The matcha tasted like premium, ceremonial matcha since it was stronger and authentic in taste. Overall, both drinks were enjoyable but if I had to choose one, I would go with the orange espresso tonic even though I love mango matcha!

The female barista who wore a pulchritudinous blue checkered, white folded sleeves that almost matched my blue/white striped long-sleeved shirt was assiduous. I could have absconded with her. lol. I wouldn't necessarily say it's super strong, but it's definitely not weak either. It doesn't have as much of that bitter/earthy matcha taste. The drinks do lean on the sweeter side, which is kind of a dilemma for me because the cream is SO good, but it also takes away from the matcha a little. I love the cream and wouldn't want less of it, but I do wish the matcha came through a bit more. Additionally, the cup is pretty small And getting matcha here is honestly a whole DEDICATED JOURNEY.
