Brian installed a Crimestopper Alarm System in my Kia Soul and 15 months later the fob went bad and couldn't be replaced because the company went out of business. Elite Car Stereo in Pearl City told me Crimestopper had website: www.crimestopper.com and I was able to buy the exact 5 button fob needed to operate the Crimestopper alarm system Brian installed, but the new fob has to be programmed. UPDATE: A day after the original camera (Rexing V1P) was installed, it stopped working. It got stuck on the loading image screen every time I tried to turn it on. It was simply a defective camera and had nothing to do with a poor install. Jun was kind enough to uninstall it for free so that I could return the camera to Best Buy. Best Buy didn't have the same camera in stock locally, so I opted to upgrade to a different camera: the KD Links R100 from Amazon. I would HIGHLY recommend the KD Links camera over the Rexing. At first I thought my new rear facing camera was really blurry, but I realized one of the lens stickers was left on (no big deal, I took the sticker off). The camera quality on the KD Links camera is MUCH better than the Rexing, and overall the KD Links camera has much better features and options and is way more user-friendly. They re-installed my new camera free of charge, though I did leave a small tip as a thank you. I appreciate that they stand behind their work and didn't give me a hard time about getting a different camera installed. --- I wanted a front and rear dash cam installed for security purposes (Hawaii has terrible drivers). Best Buy sells dash cams, but I didn't really want the Geek Squad there installing it. Thankfully, I searched "dash cam" in yelp and found A Plus Auto Sound. A Plus is located near to Elena's and Jack in the Box/Arby's in Waipahu. I appreciate that they are very quick to respond via yelp. If you're looking to have a dash cam installed, they do NOT sell them. Instead, you need to order one from Amazon or Best Buy (or anywhere), and they'll install it for $150. Well worth the peace of mind, especially because my previous car got hit twice while parked and both times no one left a note (THANKS). I've also heard way too many horror stories of people getting into accidents, and the driver at fault just books it and doesn't even stop. I got the Rexing V1P front and rear dash cam from Best Buy with the hardwire kit. Hardwiring is a must, as it will allow your camera to record even when it's off if it senses that your car was hit via gravity sensors. There are many other options available, with Amazon having the most choices, but the Rexing V1P fit what I was looking for. Install took exactly 1 hour. There isn't really a nice place to wait inside the shop, so I walked over to Waipahu Library which is right behind the shop and has free wifi for library card holders! if i has a choice i would rate this place a 0 or -10. i dropped my car off on March 25 at 9am just for a simple alarm & to check why my back speaker won't work. they called me in 4 hours to pick up my car. when i got there the alarm was installed but the car would not lock or unlock. which was the miscommunication about actuators my car had prior. & i was told jun couldn't look at my speaker i later waited for my car. instead i got complaints about how my door handle was keyless entry it has no key holes. (didn't think it was a problem.) still waiting in there shop for an hour. heard their techs broke one of their customers dash & shushing each other to not tell anyone. decided to leave. they called me & said my latch is broken. like how the hell does a latch break now ? waited 3 weeks for my car for a special order part. that's not the bad part yet LOL they ripped/ broke my door panel that is discontinued. the guy said "it was cracked already". got my car back with wires on the ground. speaker tossed onto the passenger floor. not everything reassembled correctly. screws for my console on the ground. i was charged for my own actuators. i was just over their shit already. read more

Went in to have some electrical work done on my truck. Another shop installed an alarm and they did a subpar job of installing the components. These guys know what they're doing. Car audio, alarms, HIDs, you name it. About an hour and a VERY FAIR COST for the labor (troubleshooting, as they call it) and my turn signal mirrors worked, my parking light flash worked, and my alarm was hooked up like it was supposed to be). Since I installed my alarm, I've had numerous problems with my remote. Stopped in to see if I could get it corrected and the guy told me to come back the next day. I returned the following day and the same guy told me they were all booked - to make an appointment. Huh? I thought that's what I did. Made an appt and came back. They worked on it and I thought problem solved. Nope - same problem. Now the cab dome light doesn't work when you open the doors. Equipped with friendly workers offering their assistance and knowledge to customers inquiring about parts/services for their cars. For myself, i wanted a new stereo for my car and they chose the right one for my car and it was priced at $300 but he gave it to me for $250. Should I have known they haggle, man.. I would've asked for lower. But I overheard they give products for less or much less than advertised or costs compared to other places. They have a designated service area in the corner to work on the cars, and while they did mine, I waited inside the shop on the provided chairs. I was happy to hear that they would install my stereo for me, the same day and less than anticipated. It only took about 15 or so minutes and they even fixed my AC that was sticking out! Took them about five hours of labor (was getting a little sketchy) so was kinda curious what was taking so long, I Stopped by to see that my truck had all windows down no one working on it so I confronted and called the shop to have them say my truck is done!! Like wtf y'all was gonna wait for closing to tell me that? So got my truck worker shows me how to work the remote start blah blah blah when we went to remote start it factory alarm goes off and was told that's normal. Also when in remote start my a/c wouldn't blow even when it's on, And told me that's factory and nothing can be done. So i walk into my truck and found one of the dash lights on for the passenger airbag that wasn't there before install and told me so other bullshit and THEY ALSO STOLE SOMETHING OUTTA MY TRUCK AND HAD THE NERVE TO TELL ME THEY DIDNT TAKE ANYTHING WHEN CLEARLY THEY WAS THE LAST TO TOUCH MY TRUCK!! I said forget it it was only 10 bucks worth, so I Took my truck drove off to find my gauge cluster shuts off everytime I shift. Took my ass back to them to fix the issue. Got it fix and was told to go look some where else about the a/c and factory alarm going off. Took my truck two days later to another shop to fix their fuck up!! And guess what a/c works while in remote start, factory horns doesn't go off while in remote start mode!! Also this shop I went to fix that passenger light and was told they tapped into a wire that suppose to not be tampered with to begin with. I ain't ever going to this fucking place ever!! I brought in my car to put in a sub/amp combo. Previously I have been messaging this business to get quotes on certain services. Finally decided on putting a sub/amp combo under my seat to eliminate having to take up space in my trunk. I went in thinking the business would be expecting me or at least informed of the service I requested on being done to my car. Unfortunately the person I spoke to who seemed puzzled and had to ask me what I was there for I explained that I have been messaging them on yelp about putting a sub/amp combo under one of my seats in my car. He took a look at my phone to see the message thread and knew of what kind of sub/amp combo to install. After taking down my info I sat inside the store to wait for my car to be finished. Yet as I waited for my car to be finished, I smelt cigarette smoke as the front two front doors were open. I assumed the smoke was coming from outside the store, but as I looked towards the counter, one of the workers, who came from outside the store, had a lit cigarette in his hand. I gotta say this wasent a easy job to wire up towing mirrors on my truck. 5 hours later got a call truck was done. I have to say I was very impressed and happy they could get the towing mirrors to work.
