The very first time I came here (over 2 year ago when they first opened) the food, service and atmosphere was decent. Service was quick and friendly & food was a pretty good portion size, especially for the steep prices. .. as for the more recent times I have visited this restaurant a major disappointment has hit me. Being a North Carolina girl I love a good seafood boil. Now that I'm in Ohio A plus crab is the seafood spot closest to me. However the seafood boils here have been anything but good. The sauce isn't actually a sauce. It's more of a oil that all your food is smothered in. Which 1. is unhealthy & 2 unappetizing. The first few bites diving in may be good but then you start to realize my corn taste just like my sausage, which taste just like my potatoes, which taste just like my crab. Which all taste like nothing but spicy oil. The service here is no better. Always slow, never friendly or social-able. Being ran by a manager just the same way. very rude and never willing to accommodate the restaurants wrong doings. If you order from here for a to go order & they are running low on that's food item before the night is over your bag will be missing that item (in hopes you don't call back & complain) you may be offered a food credit on your next visit. If your next visit is more than 30 days out that credit will not be accommodated. That's just terrible business in service. The average couple/family who eats here is spending close to or over $100 on their meal. You would think service would be great, food would be delicious and wrongs would be righted, but nope not the case here. I have gave this place more than a handful of tires but not anymore. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Drive the distance, find somewhere else. read more

This place was AMAZING. But I must say for the couple reviews that complained about your food not being on plate, shut up, Karen, look up where you're going next time. Shouldn't leave a bad review because YOU were uneducated on what a crab boil is. Anyway, the drinks were amazing. In my boil, I got a pound of snow crab legs and a half pound of shrimp. Came with a TON of shrimp. Definantly more than a dozen and also about 3 clusters of crab legs. My girlfriend got the same thing and also clams. The crab legs were PHENOMENAL, the shrimp wasn't my favorite butt I am also very picky. My girlfriend said the clams, shrimp and crab legs were some of the best she's ever had. We both got the A+ sauce and medium heat. Perfect amount of heat and the sauce was out of this would 10/10 would recommend. The only complaint we both agreed on was that the corn was gross and mushy but what did we expect when it's been sitting in that sauce so long and it's the last thing we tried. So overall, an AMAZING experience and we were sooo full. For two crab boils with all we got and 2 drinks it was $106 and completely worth it. We will be back there again. read more

I stopped in for dinner 1/27/21. New to the area, this was my first visit. My first impression was that it was clean and busy, while observing and practicing social distancing, in accordance with current restrictions. My waitress was helpful, explaining the menu and some of my options. I ordered the Cajun seafood boil, 1/2 pound shrimp and 1/2 pound crawfish, potatoes and corn. Having lived in Lafayette, LA in the past, that is the standard by which I judged my meal. The seafood and vegetables were steamed in a spicy Cajun boil, properly cooked, well seasoned, and delicious. The service was attentive and unobtrusive. My only suggestions for improvement would be to include a 6" hunk of warm baguette with the seafood boil, so I can soak up some of the wonderful, spicy seafood juices in which it's presented, and to get an IPA on the beer list. All in all, a good meal and good service. I'll be back to try some other menu items. read more

Ok first off in my opinion food of any kind should be served on a plate and not in plastic bags! The corn was like mush due to them steaming EVERYTHING in one bag. The shrimp was a pain in the butt because they needed peeled before you could eat them. You get a lot but the lobster tail was nasty due to over steaming and it was teeny tiny. You get a huge amount of shrimp, potatoes, corn and crab - the crab was about the only thing good - but it's all crammed into a plastic bag, which is then in another plastic bag and served on a tiny plate. Sorry but A+ no more like a D- for presentation, quality and over all satisfaction. Also be prepared the waitresses - most of them - do not speak nor understand English either!! read more

Service was great (Gina) was my server. Clean, nice environment. Food was hot, cooked well. BUT if you are used to boiling houses and the flavor they can bring their sauces are not that good. Bland, watery and Salty. I got the A+ special sauce and it was extremely bland. Medium in spice was a mild. My suggestion would be to add a sauce with a sweetness to the menu, like competing boiling houses in the area. (Boiling seafood restaurant has AMAZING sauces) Would return to try fried dishes. First time here! We've been waiting to try here since we seen their sign go up earlier this year, but due to Covid19, it's summer and now finally open. 4th day open to be exact. Very nice. Clean place. Sprite was very crisp! Food was good size/portion for the price. Worth the money. Friendly employees. We had Vicky serving us. She was the best! So sweet and on point. My family went a few days ago for the soft opening and there are not enough good things I can say! The food was amazing, all of it, we got snow crab with the A+ seasoning, sausage, corn and potatoes and not a single thing was bad. This was what I found at the bottom of my crab combo bag was told it was insides of some sort but I couldn't stomach the conversation this appears to be a mouse it has eyes teeth etc as you can clearly see there's no way my fresh order should have even had anything extra inside, I ordered crab legs! My boyfriend and I walked into eat at 9:19 and asked for a table for 2. The guy at the front desk was so rude and nasty he stated "Are you sure you want to eat here? We close at 10." I told him yes I'm sure and he said "Are you going to be done by 10? We need everybody out by 10 due to Covid." I told him I understood and we would be done by 10. And we were done by 10. At which point we walked to our car and just so happened to see this man walking out of the door to his car exactly at 10 on the dot. I am so disappointed in how he treated us and how rude he was for no reason. He needs to learn better customer service because he just lost us as a customer we will not be returning to this establishment just to be treated like trash by an employee who is just trying to go home early. Compared to The Boiling House I didn't see too much difference. The sauce was good, but I'd prefer more garlic and butter. The portions are the same plenty for one person + some. The shrimp was not deveined though which made me question the food preparation. Prior reviews I've seen people comments saying the seafood was rubbery however I didn't get that. The snow crab, lobster, shrimp and king crab were full of flavor and juicy. Though with a large service I could see them being in the bag too long possibly causing them to over cook. Atmosphere was as expected though they played the music extremely loud and it was hard to speak to the person in front of you. Cleanliness was subpar only because there was a mask on the floor at my table. I'd would prefer see them spray down the tables rather than reusing the same rag for all tables. Overall price was the same. Two people with combos expect to spend $150 with tip. read more

I've been here twice, now, and have received excellent, friendly service both times. It's a bit pricey, but the portions are big, comparable to similar establishments in other cities. It's spacious, clean and well lit, which is good, because you'll probably make a mess with the meal. Silverware is available, but this is really finger food, on a grand scale. It's served hot and fresh in a big clear plastic bag that you get to dig through to find every last bit of whatever seafood you decide to enjoy, smothered in spicy, flavorful sauce. We were in the area on a seemingly endless quest for new furniture when we stopped here for lunch. The restaurant is very clean and the service kind and attentive so I am giving it 2 stars. I had the fried shrimp basket with onion rings and my husband had the fried catfish basket. The best way to describe the food is blonde (looks) and bland (taste). It needed more time in the fryer, it was remotely golden but not at all browned. It was entirely bland, no seasoning not even a lemon to squeeze served with it. Honestly - if I had closed my eyes- I wouldn't have been able to differentiate the catfish from the shrimp from the onion ring. We had to ask for salt and pepper and flatware. The food wasn't "BAD", we ate it mostly because we were very hungry, but it definitely wasn't tasty or enjoyable and it left a weird oily aftertaste. I called in to order and the person taking orders (an Asian male) was rude, I was asking my daughter for her order and he suggested I call back after I looked at the menu (the menu was in front of me on my computer). I wanted to hang up immediately, but my daughter wanted to give them a try, so I placed the order and felt rushed. Once we received our order I started with my fried okra, wasn't impressed. Then proceeded on to the seafood bag, I ordered Shrimp (head off) with the A+ Seasoning. As someone mentioned above the shrimp was not deveined properly, which immediately ruined my appetite. My dad and I wanted to try this for Father's Day, I thought it would be a great place to go... I was so wrong. He ordered Cajun rice and it was fried rice with Cajun seasoning and what looked like old Kielbasa on top and tasted terrible. He ordered fried shrimp and onion rings, both were not fried through, asked them to fry them some more and only fried the shrimp more leaving the onion rings still halfway cooked. The breading was awful and food was chewy. I paid $35 for king crab legs and got 4 legs that wouldn't even crack, kept bending and the meat was chewy. It says it comes with corn and potatoes.. well it came with the smallest piece of corn and 2 small potatoes and to top it off, our waitress was just about useless. So upset I spent over $60 and got the smallest portion of food I've ever had and it wasn't even delicious to say the least. Don't waste your time or money. So disappointed. read more
