Reviews don't lie. Most of the Facebook reviews are from employees and their families. This place is incentive based and the technicians don't care about anything but selling more more more. Teresa the owner is full of it they charge for estimates because she's greedy. The customer service reps are RUDE, I was hung up on twice by the dispatcher Darrell for wanting to know when my technician would arrive. How someone like that has a job is beyond my comprehension. I should have known by the initial phone call that is was a bad idea. Larissa was too busy having side conversations and giggling that she got my address and name wrong. Upon arrival the tech was busy texting for 15 minutes prior to coming to my door. Quoted me 600+ dollars for a sink install and told me he could come back after hours at a discounted rate. If that doesn't say shady I don't know what does. Teresa get control of your business stop perpetuating bad customer service and clean house, it starts at the top and your company is a reflection of you. read more

These people are scam artists. I had them out to box some hot wires in the attic of a home I recently bought. They came and looked at the wires. Citing an exposed wire to the furnace, they told me they would not do anything about the hot wires unless I paid $30,000 to rewire my entire home, a month long project. As soon as they left I called UpRight Electrical Services, who came out the next day, boxed the hot wires, repaired the exposed wire at no extra cost, and told me everything looked great and the house did not need to be rewired. When I told them what happened with A+ Services they said, "that's criminal." Don't trust this company. read more

Four days ago, I lost my husband to cancer. We have been having issues with an old septic system and have used this company in the past. Today, they are here and doing the service at no cost which says volumes to me about the company and people who work there. If I could do less than one star I would. I wish I would have read these review PRIOR to using this company. We choose A+ septic for no other reason than because they popped up first (BIG MISTAKE). I have seen multiple people asking recently for septic pumping company suggestions and I wish we would have asked for the same advice. We were told pumping and inspection was about $425.00 and $50.00 for each tank they have to dig up. We tried locating our tanks but they were no where close to where the original plans had them. We had to have A+ find our 2 tank lids. Upon inspection, they told us that we needed a new outlet baffel and that it would not pass inspection with out this, which was another $459.00. They told us they file everything with the county and they could install the part the next day when we were at work. The exact words "ALL the work will be done by the time you get home." Sure enough the next day they came, not realizing my son was home. He was on the phone with me when the pulled in the drive way. I got off the phone, called my dad who lives 10 minutes away, he got in his car, came to my house and by the time he got there, they had left. I then called A+ Asking if their guy was done or what and they couldn't reach him. Long story, but when I questioned why a 5 minute job cost almost $500.00 they argued with me and told me that their guys gps says he was at our house for 45 minutes. I told them my son was home and literally witnessed them pulling in and then leaving. They then had me speak to the actual guy who fixed it and he said he had been there over 20 minutes when he finally knocked on our door and told my son he was there. I again told him that I was literally on the phone with my son when he pulled in, but he denied he was only there less than 10 minutes. When I asked how much they charge per hour all he could say was, "we charge by the job, not the hour." I asked for an itemized statement to be sent to me. Upon talking to some other people I have gotten the same feed back about this company. Now, I come to find out they actually charged me for 4 septic tank lids to be dug up (we only have 2) AND they didn't file anything with the county, just scanned it into the county site. County wants $215.00 to file the paperwork so we can sell our house. I have called this company 5 time in the last 3 days and been told each time that everything was done and we were good and everything was filed. When I called back today and told them this wasn't true I was told " we make it a policy to tell every customer that they are responsible for any fees associated with filing their own paperwork." We have now given this company over $1,100.00. It would be my advice to go with another company if you need spetic work. read more

I had a very good experience with this company - my septic alarm went off and they came out that morning, diagnosed the problem within a half hour, and were out to fix the problem the next afternoon. They had the opportunity to pump my tank even though it wasn't quite time and didn't. They also gave me a lot of good information about my septic, and cleaned a filter, etc. I would recommend this company to others, and might call them in the future for electrical/plumbing. Found them in the yellow pages - did exceptionally good work and, yes, they ARE expensive but the work is guaranteed for much longer than the usual company and I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for....cheap prices mean cheap work. A plus services, should be called A plus rip-offs! My mom (78 yrs old) was totally taken advantage of by these people. They charged her over $2,000 to install a 50 gal. water heater! The job by 3 other companies was quoted at $1,100-$1,300. But since my mom doesn't have internet to "shop" she didn't know that their charges were so outrageous. This is Elder Abuse in my mind! Purchased 1969 home on south Puget Sound. So far A+ has responded to a septic backup, a hidden plumbing leak causing black mold and have been out to provide both electrical and painting estimates. So far the service has been good - great response time, every person coming out has been professional and high quality service (Larry fixed the leak in a snap!). They provide clear estimates and explanations. Reason for not rating 5 stars is fact that A+ did the Time of Transfer pump on the septic at purchase, so having to pay them to pump it again only 30 days later is questionable. read more

Don't bother with these people. Got an estimate from them for some plumbing work. They came out to do the work which turned out to be a process much less intensive than the original estimate but charged the more expensive estimate. I made a number of calls to the company for an explanation but received nothing more than a promise to call me back - of course they never did. read more

They will not give you any kind of idea on price over the phone presumably because their goal is to get their employees face to face with you so that they can try to talk you into their bad deal. Our Water heater pilot light went out so I called A+ since they had installed the tank 6 years prior with the previous owners of our house. The guy came out and easily restarted the pilot light (I admit we didn't know how at the time). The gas valve box blinked 7 times when he restarted it. This code means there is something wrong with the gas valve (there's a sticker on the tank that shows the codes). He immediately told us the whole tank had to be replaced and quoted us over 2 grand. While we were standing there the gas valve went back to blinking once which means no problems. My husband pointed this out to the guy and he said it was strange but the tank still needed to be replaced. After he left I did some research including having another technician come out. Turns out the gas valve is a part you can replace without having to replace the entire tank. We were never given this option. Also, the gas valve is known for faulty codes which is obviously what happened. A+ services was willing to charge us over 2 grand to replace our tank even though the guy saw the code had changed back to normal. Think of the enormous amount of waste of throwing away a perfectly good tank, hitting us with a huge financial burden, all while inflating their pockets. I am tempted to report this to the better business bureau. Do not trust these guys. After calling around I had numerous other companies quote me a much lower price to replace the tank and some brought up the fact the gas valve could be replaced on its own while on the phone without even seeing the tank. There is no integrity in some businesses. read more

Dishonest and bullies. They came out and gave me a bid on my septic tank because my toilet was backing up. When I told them I wanted to think about it, they told me if I didn't use them they would report me to the county. I was scared at the time and used them. I found out later the drivers WORK ON COMMISSION AND GET BONUSES! The more they charge you, the more they get paid so they are VERY motivated to add to the expenses. They charged me over 3k to "fix a crack" in the septic tank and pump it out. About 6 months later, I hired my friend to come out to look at the tank because I was having problems again and was still upset by my experience with A+. Turns out the problem all along was a blockage between the house and the tank. He looked at the tank and there never was a crack and the whole septic system was fine. A+ Septic feeds off your crisis and makes money from your bad situation. Just awful. read more

Get a quote and compare before you use this company. We were overcharged double the going labor rate. For installation of 2 circuit breakers and 2 hours of work we were charged $1249.35 including tax. For $50.00 worth of parts we were charged $359.68. The labor for 2 people spending 1 1/2 hour looking for parts + 1/2 hour actual work was 789.68. Be very cautious. read more

I gave these people 1 star because I have to in order to get this review on the web. We had a plumbing leak. The plumber who came out located the problem, then told me he could fix it for $3400.00!!!! He said it could take him 6 hours and he would throw in the materials without charge. My 70 year old mother was charged over $500 for a temperature and pressure valve replacement and her water heater still doesn't work! They told her they would give her a discount if she purchases a new water heater from them now...how generous! These people over charge every chance they get based on these reviews. They charge too much! I called them to snake a clogged drain. They wanted $40 just to come to the house and $368 to clear the drain. This seemed outrageously high to me and I sent them away without doing the work. I went to Home Depot and rented a mini-snake machine for $32 and did it myself in half an hour. They quoted me for a garbage disposal install at 300 charged me 421! I was not home at the time of the install my 17 year old was. He called me to let me know that he fixed the old one then proceeded to install the new and took the old now fixed one with him. Couldn't be happier! We had our septic tank pumped today, and the friendly, professional technician did a great job. Not only did he answer all of my silly questions, but he taught me everything I needed to know about our septic system. Had a clogged sewer line. Suspected child toy in the line. Got a quote from A+ of $810. for simple snake job. Asked him how he could charge so much for simple job. Asked what his hourly rate was? Doesn't have hourly rate, charges by the job. It costs more when working with feces!! (was a turd in the toilet) Told him to much that it should be no more than a $200. job. He said maybe from MOM/POP shop but we are here now. Told him no thanks and sent him on his way. Wife called church friend who does MOM/POP handyman business. Came right over and a hour later and $250 bill all was well. My opinion, A+ should be re-branded as A+ ripoff. read more

I set up an appointment to have them inspect my plumbing. I sat at my home for four hours waiting for them. Not only did they not show up, they never called. I don't understand the negative reviews as I have used A+ and their sister company Yelm Plumbing multiple times over the years and never had a bad experience. Yesterday they came out to repair a outside hose bib that was leaking. It was installed many years ago by them and although I full expected to pay for the service, they fixed it for free. I only give them 1 star because they showed up. After that? None. My problem was a Thermocouple (Waterheater). My pilot light was active but wouldnt stay on. So I called them on Day 1. No problem. Day 2, I get a call saying that someone else would be coming out to look at it (either JP Plumbing or Yelm Plumbing) which is a subcontractor of A+ from what I was told. After they got there, I told them what the problem was and they gave me an estimate. The estimate was based on the fact that the repair man could not simply replace the Thermocouple. The entire assembly would have to be replaced due to the model of the Water Heater (RHEEM Guardian). They gave me an estimate of approx $580 to replace the assembly or $1800 to replace the entire Water heater (do not know if that price included the actual tank itself). After opting for replacing the Burning Assembly, I did some research. I decided with the price of replacing the assembly, was MORE than the price of a brand new actual water heater! So I opted to replace the entire heater through Home Depot services. I was led to Fast Plumbing Services which came out the next day. Result? $99!!! $99 to replace the thermocouple that JP Plumbing or YP Plumbing told me they could not replace without replacing the entire assembly for $600! And with Fast Plumbing, even if they replaced the entire assembly , it would have only cost $250!. WHAT A SHAM! To top it off, with A+ (JP , YP) when they came out, they didnt even do anything on Day 1. They didnt even TOUCH or check the water heater AND told me it would be a couple of day later to get a replacement (instead of finding out the make and model of it BEFORE coming out). I have read other reviews and I am now JOINING THE CLUB. Shyster? Shammer? Rip offs? yeah. After that price quote of $600 and waiting 2-3 more days or getting it fixed on day one for $99??? A+ and their subcontracted company of JP or YP out of yelm...get a F+. read more

We had A+ come out last year and fixed a sewer drain. It cost a lot but we thought we were given good customer service. So two weeks ago we had a backup on our pipes in the back of the house. A technician came out put a camera through but told my husband he couldn't put it thru all the way. Tried to sell us new piping. He got it unclogged but today it happened again. I called and was told we would need new piping. I called another company and they came out and fixed the clog. I will not use A+ again. read more

I had A+ out to fix a leak under my house. Not being a plumber myself I was upset with the charge, but just figured that was the going rate. After the job was done I spoke with my parents and they were also outraged. We called four plumbers and there prices were anywhere from $300-$400 less than A+. I am now disputing the charge, but nobody will call me back from their office until next week sometime. DON'T CALL THEM!! Call a smaller family run business. They gave me an estimate of $1400 to replace a float in my sump pump. Johns plumbing did the job for $270. Float cost $89, you decide.

I love these guy's, they came out on Memorial Day weekend with management and quick. There was no charge for pumping because their ace man had done an instal before just under a year ago and we have their premium service. The charge was minimal just over 200$. (It turned out to be a float issue) they followed up the next day and again no service charge. They were polite and courteous and proffessional and although they recommended addtional services they could instal, there was no pressure or horror stories if we did not accept their offer. read more

I called them because a small plastic lid had been flushed down the toilet and plugged it. The guy that came said right away that he would have to unseat the toilet to remove it and if he couldn't I would have to have the toilet REPLACED! He said plunging or snaking would not work. He wanted to charge me $300! When I said I didn't have a job and couldn't afford that he dropped it to $200. I said no and paid him the $39 house call. As he was leaving he told me to try vacuuming it out with wet/dry vac. My neighbor said he had a snack and with 30 seconds he snaked it through! THIRTY seconds..for free!
