Finally arriving home 2 weeks before the wedding I panicked because my dress looked so wrong so I started calling Bridal Salons to see who would help. I'm so incredibly happy that I found A Royal Moment! I made an appointment here and at another, let's just say a very well known commercial bridal shop. My appointment with A Royal Moment was first. Everyone was lovely and Darlyn (the owner) was so nice and accommodating. The woman who helped me is no longer there, but she was very helpful and made things stress free. I had an idea of the style of dress I wanted, but since I never tried on dresses we tried on a variety of styles. I never felt rushed at all which was great too. I found two dresses I loved. One I loved the whole dress but I really loved the bust/top of a 2nd one. I didn't feel like I could make a decision yet, so we set aside the dress and went to my other appointment at the other store. We got there and it was VERY different. The second place didn't put much time and effort into the appointment. Granted they are two totally different stores, but the ambiance and how someone makes you feel shopping for your special day makes a HUGE difference! I think I tried on 2 or 3 dresses and by the third one, I stopped and told my family and friends, "I know what dress is MY dress and it's not here." We called A Royal Moment to see if we could come back and try on the dress again. We did and while I was there we decided to combine the two dresses I loved! Everyone was so helpful and the fact that they let me customize my dress was amazing. Besides that, we also added a layer of sparkly tulle which really made the dress POP! My first bridal dress experience was great and I'm so happy I found A Royal Moment! Since I customized my dress, I did have a few fittings and EVERY time my seamstress and Darlyn were so helpful. At my first appointment I also bought a necklace and earring set, but when I was getting ready for my first fitting I noticed we didn't have the set. It was accidentally not included in the bag, but Darlyn was so nice and helped me find another set that I loved! We also had such a great experience that my mom took her dress there to be tailored. At my final fitting, it was kind of bittersweet because I'd no longer get to see these amazing women anymore! I picked my amazing dress up and my jewelry and was ready for my big day! Unfortunately, it rained like crazy the week before and leading up to our wedding day, but luckily it stopped enough for us and the bridal party to take photos which was great! I may not have gotten the outside ceremony I had dreamed about on the lawn at our venue, but I had my dream dress and veil and the perfect jewelry thanks to A Royal Moment's Darlyn and amazing team! Impressed! I had an appointment scheduled at another bridal shop and their store closed down without notice and I had my day planned for months. Found A Royal Moment online and decided to call and see if they could squeeze me in and they did! Although the stylists I was working with didn't choose even one dress I was in love with I found the one after pressuring the stylists to let my friends look for me since you aren't allowed to shop around just have to trust that the stylists know what your taking about. For someone who didn't know what I was looking for it was extremely hard to find something I liked without being able to explain it because I didn't know and then being brought things I didn't like. Finally the second dress brought to me by my friend was the one! The owner marked the price WAY down which I assume is because it was marked way up but I'm happy either way lol! I brought my dress back in for alterations today and my experience was great, seamstress was professional, quick and very sweet! I didn't have high hopes but honestly compared to other bridal shops around I have to say I'm happy with my experience! Owner is very sweet, all the employees were at the front telling me how gorgeous I looked and how much they loved it which is the special feeling you deserve on your dress picking day! 20/10 recommend Farah and a Royal Moment! This was the second place I went dress shopping, after my first experience not being great, I had low expectations of finding a dress bc my heart was set on a certain style. Farah, is a sweetheart, she welcomed us and even came in early to accommodate us. She is genuinely passionate, loves what she does and it really shows. My mom was there and can be opinionated of what she loves and thinks is beautiful, which is different then my views. Farah acknowledged my facial expressions/ reactions to each dress as I looked into the mirror and instantly knew how I felt. She got a read on my vision fairly quickly and had many dresses that fell into that category. Every dress she brought out was beautiful and was in my size, I got the full feel of each dress without them being 4-8 sizes bigger and using big clips. I had questions on if certain accessories or alterations had ever been done and she gave her honest opinion and thoughts that were very insightful. absolutely ridiculous, super rude employees, unwelcoming, dirty environment, and the quality of the dresses are very cheap looking. from the moment we walked in the environment was just off. we had an appointment set for 2pm and we weren't sat down until 2:30 and were completely ignored until then. when in dressing room one employee welcomed herself into the dressing room then allowed another one of her employees to enter and started having there own private conversation while my sister was trying on her dresses naked. and the dressing rooms had HEATING on. i would not recommend whatsoever. read more

When I first looked up this bridal salon I was a little surprised at nothing shy of 5 star reviews. I mean there's not a lot of businesses that only have 5 stars. If you visit this store, you'll soon learn why there are only 5 star reviews. I went with my mom the next Monday to try and just get a sense of what I wanted. I arrived for my appointment and was greeted by my stylist, and while initially she helped pick out some dresses she frequently left me alone. I had to dress myself and ask my family to zip the dresses up because I was unable to do it on my own. Halfway through my appointment another group came in and my stylist abandoned me for them. I was left to myself and ended up leaving the store in tears. I purchased a dress from a third party and found A Royal Moment in my search for an alterations specialist that worked mainly on wedding gowns and could meet a tight schedule as I was about 5 weeks out from my wedding day. Farrah and Aida were wonderful to work with. They recommended very minimal changes to my gown including: fixing my zipper, hemming the bottom, raising my bustle up higher, a few stitches in the bodice to make my deep-v neck line a bit more modest (and to provide more support), and I requested a ribbon covering an uncomfortable seam inside the dress. I had the most amazing experience wedding dress shopping here with Farah! She really listened to what type of "dress" I was looking for and made the experience so memorable! I shed a couple of tears after finding "the dress" at The Royal Moment and it was such a sweet moment to share with my mom, future mother in law and bridesmaids. This was the only wedding dress shop that allowed me to bring in a larger group. I believe they allow you to bring up to 10 people. A Royal Moment is a lifesaver! A week before my wedding reception, I realized I needed to get my dress bustled. Lizbeth, the seamstress, had such amazing instinct when it came to the bustle style. My dress has an asymmetrical hem, but that was no issue. They were able to get me fitted and complete the alteration on the same day! When I tried my dress on at home, one of the bustle points tore out, but A Royal Moment came to the rescue yet again and repaired it within an hour. Complete bait and switch with horrible quality of dresses. Filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and will be seeking court action against this company. Was given a complete soiled dressed with stains, ripped, etc. This business is run horribly, owner Daryln is always out of the country and is devisive and unprofessional. Tried contacting and working with her but she's completely defensive and not willing to provide a refund for a solid dress. Return the dress and have nothing to show for the money spent. She stole a lot of money from me, and people need to be aware! Purchased a wedding dress and when picked it up it was another dress. Very worn, dirty, smelled, and was unraveling. Material is worse than Shein. She purchases all the dresses overseas and then marks them tremendously up. Please do not shop here. Know that you're purchasing floor sample dresses that are constantly being tried on and damaged and resold. Wedding dresses should be sized appropriately. Everything from this store is either S/M/L, so you really never know what you're getting. Darlyn is unreasonable and has taken my money and has not provided any dress to compensate for the solid dress she tried to pawn off on me. She is a THIEF, and her horrible business practices need to be exposed. Please search for your wedding dress elsewhere do not come to this shop, it will be a nightmare! read more

I had hopes due to the many positive reviews of this shop but honestly, I don't know how else to describe my experience than... what the actual f? I came in prepared with images printed of styles I like and don't like. Very detailed "YES" and "NO" examples. Since the store does not display dresses to look through, I thought they would listen closely to my requests. Two ladies came to talk to me and as I was walking them through my likes and dislikes, they were talking over me and just saying "yes ok yes" nodding as if they were understanding. Within a few short minutes they came out with two dresses I automatically could tell were examples on my "NO" list. I expressed this and the younger saleswoman said "oh this is just to try on the size".. And again I reiterated how much I disliked the tulle ballgown style and she said "oh don't worry. just put it on, it's very beautiful." Already I could tell I was not being heard but since this was just to "try on the size" I obliged. I did not want to walk out of the dressing room as I hated this dress but she insisted I show my friends so I did. Again I expressed how much I disliked everything about the dress. I did not want a ball gown. I did not want a large tulle dress. I didn't want this style of lace. I did not like the see through bodice. She said "oh ok ok all of this can be changed." I go back into the dressing room to try on dress 2. I could see from the case that the dress again was not my style and also had too much tulle. Again she insisted I try it and show my friends. So I did. I walked out to the pedestal, said again how I did not like anything about this dress and again requested less tulle. She went back to pull more dresses. More giant tulle came out which I immediately sent back. Dress number 3 I could also see in the bag was a style/pattern that was on my NO list. I pointed this out to her again saying very clearly "i don't like this type of lace-- it looks like a doily. I don't want any dress with this paisley shape. I don't like this." She then tells me "oh it's a beautiful dress. Very popular. Just put it on. It'll be very different. Many love this dress. Just put it on your mind will change." LOOK. I don't care how many people liked this dress-- the only thing that matters is that I DO NOT. It felt like she was disregarding my feelings despite my multiple attempts at expressing clear opinions. If this was about a silhouette I would understand trying new things, but if I have a visceral dissatisfaction in how something looks aesthetically, LISTEN. Don't force me to put it on when I tell you I hate how something looks. I was exasperated at this point, put it on, and still obliged at showing my friends. Immediately said "I still hate it. This is not me." And she goes "oh you can change things, anything you don't like" to which I responded "I don't like anything about this dress." And she keeps trying to make suggestions to alter the dress, still not hearing that it was a hard NO. God bless my friend who spoke up for me and said "IT LOOKS LIKE A TABLE CLOTH. SHE DOESNT LIKE IT." At this point another lady came to help and asked to see my photos. She was friendly and I was hopeful we could continue in a positive direction. She pointed out a minimalist dress from my "YES" examples saying she had something similar. She brought out a dress which in theory was a positive step forward, though not really like the example. And this dress was not high quality at all (the fabric was thin and akin to Forever21) and had a massive slit up the thigh that any slight movement introduced my crotch to the world. "Oh this can be sewn shut--we can hide this" one of the saleswomen said. At this point I was over it. This all lasted about 20 min. Disappointed in not being heard, or my opinions respected, and forced to try dresses I didn't want to try, my group and I packed up, said thank you, and left. We spent our leftover appointment time at a bar trying to drink away the frustration. Also I booked this appointment over a month ago and just scrolling down this page, 20 days ago it seems another reviewer had a similar experience. Brides take note. I must have tried on 20 dresses before going back to the one I loved most. The dress wasn't quite the way I wanted it. My Alterationist Aida helped make my dream dress come true! She is soo sweet and patient! She took her time to really see my vision and made it a reality! I couldn't believe how perfect it was!! 2 of the biggest alterations is she cut a high slit over my left leg and cut the cleavage loooow. I was taken into the dressing area where they had already pulled no less than 6 dresses for me just based on me saying I wanted a ballgown! They helped me get tied into the gowns and showed them off to my family. Before I knew it 2 or more hours had passed. Throughout that entire time I never felt rushed or pressured into something. They were all very understanding when something didn't work for my body type and also highlighted the dresses that looked the best. Towards the end of the appointment, we hadn't found "the one", but they came out with a dress that was similar to one I had tried on. The unfortunate thing was it wasn't in my size. This wasn't a problem for them as they told me they could order in the dress for me within a few days and I could come back to try it on as well as some other dresses that they didn't have at the time. The next week I came back, having not slept well the night before due to the excitement! We went in and saw the dresses that I was going to try on for the day. I tried on the dress that they ordered and it fit very well! Thinking, this can't possibly be "the one" we continued to try on other dresses for a few hours, but something kept me going back to that first dress. I tried on the dress again and we spoke about some alterations that would be possible to make the dress work perfectly. We then tried on vails and I started to cry. It was such a special moment and to find "the one" after only going to one store was a dream come true. Thank you to Darlyn and the rest of the team for being so patient with us and so accommodating. Finding this place is like finding a piece of heaven. I am a plus size bride and looking for plus size wedding dresses is a nightmare. As soon as I walked in they had some dresses on the side for me. We tried some of one didn't like them. And we tried one that I absolutely fell in love with cuz it was so gorgeous and it looked amazing. Then we tried some more and I like them and then we tried the one that I really liked again and I found my gown. These women made me feel beautiful and special for my special day. I cannot express how wonderful and amazing best bridal salon is. I highly recommend it if I could put more than five stars on here I would.. I'm the brother of the bride-to-be and I can't tell you how happy my Sister is with the dress she said yes too. We went to a big name store, and you could tell my sister was getting frustrated as she had no clue what to look for. The earliest appointment was 4 hours away, and as we went through the dressing this big name store had out, none of us had a clue where to start. I yelped bridal shops, and A Royal Moment came up. I asked my sister if she wanted me to call to see if we could get an appointment. As soon as someone answer the phone, I got the vibe this place was the place!
