I bit the bullet!! Went in to see my girl Amy, wanting to go lighter. I've been planning on doing it for a while now, so I went ahead and just did it. I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE!!! My hair has always been thick, ever since I got a perm years ago as a child. Always had the same boring dark hair and as I got older, I started experimenting with purple/burgundy dyes. I loved that look for a while, but this time I wanted to go lighter. I was not about to do it myself so I went to the pros at A Salon Paul Mitchell. The entire process took about 3.5 hours, with the foiling taking up a whole 2. Since I've been going to Amy for years, it wasn't boring...we always have stuff to talk about! After the foiling, I sat under the heater for a while, then she washed me out, dried and styled my hair. She only uses the best products, so I know my mane is always healthy and never dried out. I highly recommend her and the rest of her staff if you're looking to get a new 'do. The salon is located in a strip mall near the old Chargers headquarters in San Diego. Some of the players used to come here for their cuts! I never have a problem with parking. Amy and her staff are masked and have taken all necessary precautions to provide a safe environment for all clients during these pandemic days. Prices are pretty competitive here as well. Jackie is THE BEST!!!! She has been my hair whisperer for over 11 years. When you have a hairstylist you love and trust, it's really hard to find someone else...which explains why I've followed her here. (Also explains why I still visit to San Diego to get my hair done. And I know I'm not alone! The hype is real.) Before I met Jackie, I thought it was normal for hair to be an afterthought. I never loved a haircut and thought most people also felt the same about their hair. When we first met, I had short, uneven, choppy hair that I was trying to grow out. She cut my hair in a way that grew out SO NICELY and really trained me on how to take care of my hair (for example, which products to use, how to use them, how and when to wash, why I shouldn't trim my own bangs at home, etc). Over the past 11 years, I've had long, gorgeous layers, a short chop, mid-length cut, bangs, no bangs. I've tried light hair, dark hair, solid all-over color, and highlights. When I moved across the country for school and could only visit once a year, Jackie patiently fixed up all the terrible "cuts" I received. She's even fixed my DIY bang trims...lol. My fave cut of hers has to be the layers she gives me. I love long hair but get migraines when it gets too heavy. Jackie takes my thick, heavy hair and manages to feel so, so light while looking so good. Jackie truly can do it all. AND she has the best personality! She is so sweet and also so fun to be with! I have never gone to a salon before nor gotten my hair colored but I can say this place did not disappoint one bit! NANCY had set up an appointment with me two weeks prior and she helped me in any way that she could. She told me she didn't mind me asking her questions, considering i have little to no knowledge/experience in hair coloring. She was very sweet and easy to talk too which made the experience go by faster. I didn't even realize 3 hours had past because of our random conversations about almost everything. My Korean hair stylist recently left SD and he was the ONLY stylist I ever trusted with my side swept bangs. Granted, he always called me Stacy even though 1) I've been going to him for YEARS and 2) um, my name isn't even Stacy. Whatever. His hair cuts were cheap and he did the best bang trims. Call me whatever wrong name you want. I heard about this place from a Pilates friend b/c I always admired her bangs. It's weird what girls notice about other girls right. She said she came here but didn't remember the name of the stylist. I called the salon and Nancy was the girl who answered the phone. She didn't know which stylist did my friend's bangs but I decided to give Nancy a try. And how I love her. You know you have a great stylist when : a) they listen to client go on and on about their stupid bangs; b) she asks you to bring in photographs of haircuts you like; c) she's ON TIME for the appointments; d) stylist does the washing AND drying of the hair herself (doesn't have some sort of intern or asst doing so); and e) she gives you her full undivided attention to your hair. My appointment was about one hour. She did a great job on my side swept bangs and I loved the way she blended my hair (I still don't really know what that term really means but I like the way it sounds - AND, most importantly, how great it looks ). She was meticulous with getting my hair JUST right and that's greatly appreciated by an OCD neurotic freak like myself. And, she does a FANTASTIC blow out!! The hair cut cost $45 which is about $10 more than what my previous stylist charged me (he was always late, didn't always cut the greatest, and let's not forget him calling me Stacy for like 4+ years). I was going to give 4 solid stars but after listing all her positive traits, I bumped the review to 5 stars. I hope my hair and bangs grow out well. It's always tough to wash your hair after and not be able to blow dry it like your stylist. So I'm curious to see what it'll look like. Yo ! Yo ! I got my hair did yet again! This time I went beyond what I initially planned. My hairstylist, Amy and I even named it "Shayne Block Cut"!! haha! She dug the new style that she even took a picture of it with her camera for future reference. Wow! That's the first for me! Anywhoo...I'm always up for a new change and "funky and different" was what I was going for. After looking through several magazines, I saw a cut where the bangs were uneven and slanted downward. I thought it was pretty unique and decided to try it out. Instead of trimming my existing layers, I wanted to even out the cut so I went for a shoulder length cut. Yes..I went back to short yalls! Then, Amy recreated solid, even, "block" layered cuts. In other words, it was squared off resembling a staircase on the sides (insert creative imagination). I re-dyed it jet black and my makeover was finally complete! It was definitely a fun time experimenting with her! Most importantly, she really made me feel comfortable and the overall look was a nice change. I took Yelp's advice and came here to get my highlights. I made an appointment with Serena since the others that were suggested were out. Now, before I start, let me explain that the two most important things for a woman to be comfortable with and happy with is her gynecologist and her hair stylist. After living out in San Diego for almost 4 years now, it's sad to say that I found my gynecologist but I have yet to find a hair stylist for me. I told her I wanted highlights, brought a picture to show it to her and told her that I understood that it may be difficult to get that color since my hair is naturally so dark. She said she can handle it. After 4 hours, and $140 later, my highlights were really light and very subtle, I couldn't see a thing. I went and got it fixed on my own, a home kit and it turned out better than the $140 that I spent. read more

I'm one of those people who don't particularly enjoy going to a hair salon. Strange I know. I generally have longer hair and pull it back in a ponytail and I prefer less muss+fuss. I never know what style is fun or looks good.. but time to time i'll get an urge for something new. That desire stirred up again recently.. Yelp led me to this salon. I would have to recommend the location specifically for Teresa. I have to note that I actually missed my originally scheduled appointment on a Friday. Still new to San Diego and hitting my first instance of "Friday Post-Work Traffic"-- I realized at a very last minute time that I would not make it to the salon in time. They were friendly to re-schedule me for the next day (Saturday) in the afternoon. Despite my failure to appear, Teresa was still cordial to me. She doesn't yap away incessantly (which generally makes me really uncomfortable at hair salons).. but she still chatted with me to a proper degree. With regards to her skill, she really took her time making sure my hair was evenly cut, properly thinned out and explained what she was doing. There was no jerking of head back and forth but everything was fluid and gentle. And she gives the best scalp massage / washing. I was about to fall asleep when we washed my hair. I liked the products used at the location as well. I've used paul mitchell before but maybe I picked the wrong one. Whatever type of shampoo/ conditioner / leave in conditioner they use, it's fabulous. I *LOVE* my hair. It's on the shorter side than what I usually have but everyone compliments the style and the look. Price was fair at $40! Much cheaper than what I expected. I imagine it would have been higher if i went with one of the two other Asian ladies mentioned quite heavily on yelp. I'd be open to work with them but I really do love Teresa. LOL Anyways, this if this review is just for the hairstylist, I'd give 5 stars!!! The GOOD: LINDA was awesome. She knows I'm growing out my hair to donate again and she took sooo much care to keep the length and get it all healthy! I recommend her because of the care and concern that she gave!!! +++ The BAD: There is a YELP checkin coupon for 50% off services if you check-in. You need to get a cut AND color. Since I cannot color my hair (I'm growing it to donate again) I asked if I can get a cut and then buy some products or get a lesser percent off because I'm only getting a cut... The stylist, Linda, was kind and asked her boss, the owner. The owner didn't even consider it! She just said, "Sorry, Arlene, we don't have anything like that right now, but we can consider it in the future." Now, I KNOW that is some baloney because any owner can do whatever they want, whenever they want. So I'm surprised that she didn't even consider it. And her tone was kind of condescending and she pretty much had nothing to do with me after that. I don't know id she even said good-bye... she was able to say my name quite clearly when she was shutting me down. Amy is just awesome. She has taken care of my family for over a year: me, hubby, 4 yr old son, mother in law, and now my brother. Yup- she does great kids cuts...has a booster for kids and washes their hair too. Way better than the kid places we tried out! Just bring in their iPads if you think they need it. Her cuts are awesome - for both men and women! She is super nice and despite a HUGE client list (I always schedule my next cut at my last appointment) she really remembers every client- she strikes that balance of consummate professional yet feels like a friend. Without a doubt Jasmine colored my hair very nicely but, she was not very loquacious. When we called over the phone she said it would be around $155 dollars for a 2-step 3 colored hair dye. Once my hair was lightened I asked if I could pay in full that appointment and then schedule for the final step, she said that would be fine and told me the total was $155. After my final appointment she told me I owed $100 still. I feel that I was manipulated and lied to because I am a minor, was there with no one with experience or adult and, have also never gotten my hair done. read more

I forgot to take a before picture, but my hair was basically dark brown from roots to ends, and it is extremely thick. I had a fantastic experience with Jasmine! She really listened to what I wanted (I brought pictures of balayage styles I liked and didn't like), and consulted me to make sure I was happy with the process. Recommended to me by my sisters and I'm so glad they did! The location is not at all what I expected (the complex it's located in looks a little deserted) but the inside is gorgeous. It's clean and well kept and exactly what you'd want a salon to look like. I was greeted immediately and I had an appointment with Linda but she was still with her previous customer so one of her colleagues helped get me prepped. They were very friendly and constantly gave me updates. I haven't gotten a haircut in a long time because I was trying to grow it long enough to where when I did get a hair cut, it would still be long. Linda cut 2-3 inches off and it looks like the same length but much healthier! It was exactly what I expected. I also asked for a side bangs trim as well as layers around the face and thank goodness she did a great job with the bangs because i've definitely had chop jobs when it comes to side bangs. Overall, I think i was there for about an hour, maybe a little over. For my hair length (mid back), the cut was $45. They did have a Yelp coupon with 50% off services if you check-in. However, you need to get a cut AND color and coloring would have been way too expensive for the amount of my hair. Just an FYI for future yelpers! I had a great experience with Linda and I definitely plan on coming back for future haircuts and my experience with them was great so I definitely wouldn't mind letting any of them cut my hair! read more

2 months have passed and my hair grayness was still present but i was finally able to visit a new stylist who was what i needed in the first place. She quickly noticed my highlights had been done incorrectly and i explained to her what happened. She gave me new highlights with more dimension and my hair felt good afterwards unlike how it felt when i left salon paul mitchell. I paid less with this new hairstylist ($108) but received a way better experience and she didnt leave the bleach on my hair over an hour like it was left here. makes me feel that i was completely ripped off and really wish i could get my money back!!! My appointment here was months ago, but I still remember it clearly because it was one of the weirdest experiences I've ever had at a salon. I needed a haircut and picked this place out because of its rave yelp reviews. I didn't request a specific stylist, but looking back maybe I should have, since Amy and Nancy are the ones getting most of the love here. Anyway, I ended up with Tracy. Whoever talked to me on the phone asked me if I had long or short hair, I said long. She said they charge an extra $5 for long hair. Okay, fine. So I get to the salon and the minute Tracy looks at me I can tell something is up. I figure out pretty quickly that the "something" is my long hair. My hair at this time is about boob-length, stick straight, relatively easy to manage. Yes it was long but not locks of love status long. I asked her for a couple inches off with some layers and a bang trim. Seems simple enough? Now, I've had stylists who won't stop talking and those who are relatively silent the whole time. I don't really care what type you are, if you talk to me I'll talk but I'm pretty quiet myself so I don't mind a non-chatty stylist. What irritated me about Tracy was that she did talk...but ONLY about how LONG my hair was and what a PAIN it was to deal with! Seriously, there was no discussion about anything else...the weather? how my day was going? how her day was going? anything? She was saying things like "I think I need a ladder to cut your hair" and "No wonder you don't blow-dry your hair, it takes way too long...SIGH" (as she's blow-drying my hair) etc etc. She wasn't saying these things in a joking, friendly way, it was obvious that she was irritated she had to be dealing with my hair. I think things like that, if said in a different context (like between a stylist and client who know each other and have established a friendly working relationship) might not be so bad, but the fact that she was talking all this crap about my hair (and the fact that it was the ONLY thing she was talking about) when it was my first time there was just WEIRD. Don't you want my business? I'm paying the $5 extra! You're a stylist! Isn't it your job to deal with all different lengths, textures, styles of hair? Anyway, the cut was fine. Nothing amazing, but not bad. But, needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

I took the advice of Yelpers and decided to try this place out. Twice. I should have run after the first time. Although I understand that others have had positive experiences with Nancy, I had two of the most frustrating and horrible hair appointments EVER with her. Nancy, while a nice enough person, teeters on the border of incompetent. My first appointment was for a cut and color. The cut was pretty good, I'll give her that, but the color didn't take and then bled all over the place for days afterwards - ruining several outfits. When I asked her about it, she admitted that she had failed to give me the after-care instructions and was sorry. People make mistakes, so I chalked it up to an oversight. Oh - and at the last minute, she charged me $25 more than she originally quoted, saying that my hair was so thick, she needed extra color. My second appointment was for a Keratin Treatment. Both Nancy and Amy RAVED about how wonderful this treatment was for hair like mine (super curly with some frizz). They said it was awesome and would eliminate most of my frizz and really soften my curls. Again, they quoted me a price - $250 (this was AFTER having done my hair once already). I spent over 6 hours in her chair getting this treatment done. Because of her initial "forgetfulness" about after-care, I grilled her about it to make sure I had everything down. First, there was a sulfate-free shampoo required, which they did not sell (???). Second, my hair couldn't be washed, come in contact with any moisture or hair bands/barrettes/ponytails/hats for 72 hours after the treatment. When I left the salon, she AGAIN charged me an additional $25 from her original quote...and then got a bit of an attitude when I only tipped her $25, saying she expected flowers. Joke or not - left a REALLY bad taste in my mouth. I would have tipped her more, but I wasn't thrilled at the second "oops, this is extra" charge. She had already worked on me once and had a pretty good idea of what my hair was like before quoting the price. I followed her instructions to a tee, and when I finally washed my hair, it was a complete disaster. The front was stick straight and my entire head was twice as frizzy as before, but with none of my beautiful curls! It was SO bad I asked for a refund. Nancy couldn't be bothered (or wasn't able) to handle the matter. I walked into the salon and was quietly shuffled to the side by Amy, who promptly refunded my money, telling me that this process was for people who wanted to straighten their hair. Keep in mind, I had been VERY specific about the fact that I did NOT straighten, iron or blow dry my hair, and had zero interest in adding more time to my routine (which was wash and air dry). Amy wrote me a check, but asked if Nancy could keep her tip. I said fine, mostly because I hate confrontation, but really...? I don't mean to sound cruel, but Nancy is hands-down the biggest ditz I've ever had handle my hair. I don't think her behavior is malicious, I just don't think she's all that bright. More than 6 weeks later, my hair is STILL a mess. Nothing I can do to fix it, I just have to wait it out until the treatment loses impact. I'm not someone who minds paying top dollar for services, but I am someone who expects to get what they're paying for. Cannot recommend this place at all. And this review was written after I've had six weeks to calm down about how awful this experience was. read more

I'm so disappointed. After reading rave reviews about this place, I was really excited to get my haircut here! But instead, this experience prompted me to open a yelp account just so that I could vent. :[ When I made an appointment on the phone, I found out neither Amy nor Nancy (who have received rave reviews) were available, so made an appointment with Teresa. When I got there and sat down in the chair, she just asked me about my previous haircut, so I felt the need to explain the botched haircut I had been sporting from a guy who got fed up with the thickness of my hair a few months back . I felt like I had to pry a bit for suggestions, and then she vaguely told me what she intended to do. Since she seemed to already have a vision and since she had been so quiet, I felt uncomfortable prying more, so began my haircut. After that, there was absolutely no conversation. I hadn't brought a magazine or anything, as I usually enjoy talking to my stylists. But the only times she talked to me were to tilt my head one way or another. She wasn't unfriendly when she said it, she was actually very nice when she said it. But she was silent otherwise, and I was kind of envious as I saw the other stylists laughing with their clients. My hair was starting to take on a fairly nice shape, but then when I asked her to take it a little shorter, my a-line became just a standard bob. I was taken by surprise when she said it was done. My hair looked so boring and didn't look like it had any of the texture we had discussed. But she assured me that it would have more texture when I styled it at home, since she had to flat-iron it for more precision while cutting it. So, I left the chair feeling semi-hopeful that it would look better when I got home. No such luck. It's mostly the same as it was there, and I'm so sad because I'm leaving for Vegas with a mundane mom-haircut. The free brow/lip wax is nice for first time customers, and $35 is an okay price, but I was really hoping for the same amazing experience all the other yelpers have seemed to have at this place. The salon itself is very nice and the staff seems friendly (and all the stylists have fabulous hair!), but I have that horrible self-loathing feeling after a bad haircut, where you just have to reassure yourself that hair grows. I hope it was just a one-time blip. I would highly recommend making sure you get either Amy or Nancy, because they're the ones who've earned the rave reviews for this salon. read more

I honestly don't get it. I came in here, expecting at least a "well.. it's fine" kind of haircut (my expectations have been lowered from a lot mediocre hair cuts I've gotten), but I got a "oh my god what the fuck was that" kind of experience. First, the person who cut my hair did not listen to me at all. Like all the others who have cut my hair, they think they know EVERYTHING about hair (they don't) and don't listen to the warnings I give them. I'm asian and I have the blackest, straightest (it doesn't curl for shit), thickest hair you could possibly imagine. Anywhos, I asked for a Paris Hilton-esque chopped bob. I got some weird crappy thick as shit version of a reverse A-line bob. I asked her to thin it out, she barely made a dent. I asked her again, barely made a dent. I eventually just gave up and she told me the choppy look is something I could only achieve with styling products. VERY unhappy with the outcome. Second, the girl who cut my hair had no finesse to her touch whatsoever. This is by far the most painful haircut I've ever had. She grabbed, yanked, pulled my hair in every direction without so much as a warning.. like.. "hey i'm going to yank the shit out of your hair for the next 50 minutes of your life." Anyways, that actually pissed me off really badly and my head was sore for the rest of the day. Luckily, I went to a salon in Rowland Heights (super asian area in LA) and this woman named Mary gave me the Paris Hilton chopped bob in less than 30 minutes for only $33, including tip. Strangely, despite what the lady at Paul Mitchell told me, it did not take ANY product whatsoever. I can't speak for others, but I can speak for those who have curl resistant thick hair: don't come here. Go to a place that KNOWS asian hair. Or actually, you could come here, just make sure you don't get the girl I got (blond?) specify Amy or Nancy or something. I hear they're good. She did a great job with my hair and it felt nice afterward. Maybe I was an unlucky one. I saw the great Yelp review and called for an appointment with Nancy. The person on the phone told me that she was not available this week, but I made an appointment anyways. She didn't tell me who will be cutting my hair. Well, when I arrived on the next day, the stylist who was cutting my hair didn't introduce herself to me nor said hi to me. I was a little taken a back. And overall her attitude really confused me. When I was explaining her how I want my hair to be cut, she had a very cold look and didn't seem to help me at all. Maybe she was having a bad day or whatever. I was also having a hard time sitting in the washing station chair, adjusting, asked her if she can adjust the chair for me, then she just told me that it was all my fault how I sit in the chair and she couldn't do anything about it. I almost stood up and left with my wet hair. I give her 2 stars because the cut that she did was fine. It's just how she treated me in the beginning like I was not her valued customer, like she didn't care having me as her customer and making me feel uncomfortable throughout the appointment. The service was just not acceptable. It seemed like everyone came to place know each other, and I was treated like invisible. I will not come back. I am one to follow my stylist, wherever she may go. Did I mention her name is Serena, and she's awesome (shameless plug). She just recently started working here, and I think this salon is by far the best fit for her. Everyone in the salon made me feel so welcome that I felt as though I was at a friend's house getting my hair done... yet it was still charming and upscale. I'm not sure how they achieved this effect, but it is ideal. From the looks of it, you could go to any stylist at this salon and come out with an amazing cut. But again, my personal favorite is Serena. She's taken my hair from extreme asymmetrical cuts to a sharp bob with adorable bangs. But I have to say my favorite experience is when I decide to do a drastic color change. She gets as excited as I am to see exactly how the color is going to come out. I think finding someone with that much passion in what they do is difficult, and once you find it, you have to stick with it! read more

After all of the rave reviews I read about this salon, I was more disappointed than I might have been, without having done my research. Taking under consideration the price, accessability and past commentary I felt pretty solid in my decision to go to Salon Paul Mitchell in order to have my hair curled for an important event. The theme was old hollywood glamour, pretty simple as far as hairstyles go. I came in with a picture and a warning that my hair is very fine, and so doesn't hold a curl well. 2 hours and 4 failed attempts with a curling iron later, I was sent home with my front curls pinned and hairsprayed. As soon as I got home and took the pins out the curl came right out with it. I didn't even get the S shaped curl that I wanted to frame my face. I had to pin the hair back myself because the shape was so mangled from their attempts at curling/hairspraying it repeatedly. It was not at all the style that I was going for, and certainly not worth the $50 that I spent. My hair was a flat mess for the event and I was heartbroken! I'll never come back again and don't understand why they would allow me to leave the salon in good conscience knowing as they did that my curl was just going to fall right out. Also, knowing from the onset that my hair is baby fine and doesn't hold a curl, why didn't they use hot rollers, as I suggested myself?! I thought I was putting myself into the hands of professionals, but that was not the case in my sad experience. read more

If you're familiar with any of my past reviews, you should know that I've had some pretty bad experiences lately with getting my hair cut. Well, I can say that isn't the case anymore! After my horrible experience where it didn't even look like my hair was cut, I figured I should go get my hair did. I know next to nothing about hair so I found this place on yelp and started reading the reviews. I called and asked who was really good with men's hair, because I've been to places that couldn't cut men's hair their life depended on it (foxy hair design). Nancy was recommended by whoever answered the phone and I was able to get an appointment for only a couple days later. When I came in I told Nancy right off the bat that I have no idea about hair and explained to her in a jumbled mess what I wanted. She actually sat there and listened to me and gave me suggestions and whatnot. I know that's typical for salons, but I've never had someone do that to me before! So the haircut took around 30-40 minutes, but it didn't feel long at all. Nancy was pretty talkative the entire time, both about what she was doing to my hair, and just small talk, it was nice not to sit in silence for once. After everything was said and done my cut came up to about 25 dollars, Nancy gave me some suggestions for products, going as far as to show me how to use the best ones for my hair, but by no means was she pushy in selling anything to me. I know many customers rave about Nancy and Amy and I'm happy with their skills as they've both done my hair in previous years. Having moved to NY, I haven't been able to find a salon that I'm comfortable with so I always end up waiting until I'm on vacation in CA to get my hair cut. This usually results in me shamelessly wearing my hair in a ponytail until I'm back on the best coast.... Anyways, I called them yesterday, knowing that both Nancy and Amy would probably be booked for the week. Since I was only in town for a couple of days and I was in desperate need of a hair cut, I asked who was available. Out of the three women open, I decided to go with Teresa. I am so happy with the result! My hair was really long so she had to cut off around 3 inches and she really did a wonderful job cleaning up my layers. I decided to go with the full bangs which came out really great. I'm usually not very happy with the way salons style my hair (they always do some weird funky curls to show my layers) but Teresa seemed to know exactly what style would look good for my new do. The more I search for a hairstylist in LA, the more I appreciate Nancy. I've gone to her pretty regularly (aka whenever I can, since I don't permanently live in San Diego anymore), and she consistently does a great job with my hair. Consistency is VERY hard to find with hair stylists. The price is very reasonable, considering $40 covers wash, cut, blow out, and styling. Getting full color is also pretty affordable here. To illustrate how great Nancy is, I will say that I've trusted her with three very scary hair changes: 1. Bangs 2. Going lighter (from black hair!) 3. Going shorter Nancy nailed all three of them. My only complaint is she's hard to get a last minute appointment with, although they recently implemented an online appointment system, which might make things easier. Overall, Nancy is one of the few stylists I fully trust with my hair and I highly recommend her (reluctantly... as the more popular she gets, the harder it is to get an appointment -_-) read more

Let's just say I have found my new hairdresser! $35 for long hair cut+ wash&style WHAT A STEAL! My appointment was 10:30am and I came in late because I got lost. When I came in I was greeted and recognized (which is a plus for me) and had to wait just a little bit because she was with another client. So when I got in the chair we discussed how my haircut would be. I have long hair and not cut it since 5 months ago and needed a haircut so bad. I wanted something different this time, I always had a V-cut shape and long layers. Amy suggested we should get some short layers and blend everything out. By the time she was all finished, I LOVED IT! My hair is new again! Back to my healthy roots. I'm planning to come here to get my color done. So I'll be back on yelp to update on my color. THIS PLACE IS AWESOME. SO GREAT THAT i took my boyfriend there twice AND one of my good girlfriend there. They both loved it. Most important of all, I LOVED it, I loved the haircut i got by Nancy, she cut off all my split and dead ends without my hair being ultra short. My boyfriend actually LOOKED handsome( not that i'm saying he isn't handsome on a normal basis, just MORE. lol). I really do love it. My good friend got her hair cut, and she went from volume-less hair to a hair with a lot volume, her hair looks like Serena's hair from Gossip girl, except shorter. It looked super nice. Man, I can't wait to get my hair cut again, I probably will right before my graduation in 1.5 months. Ohh i'm excited to look pretty again. YAY read more

Stylist: Diana - Spring of 2018 Her coloring varied. Her haircuts were okay...nothing special. Her price is over-the-top. I paid (without the tip) over $150 for coloring and a cut. I think it was too much. I did go one more time a couple of months later for a touch up. It was far more reasonable, but and this was a big one: I made my appointment far in advance. I got a phone call saying that she was running late. I showed up and still waited. Diana told me that the women she had an appointment before mine, came in late, and then, her husband wanted his hair cut. That's it. Totally improper. My time is too valuable. I found another hair dresser who is more professional, does a better job, and it cheaper. I felt that I was taken advantage so she lost a customer. read more
