With a variety of flavors and an array of unique sandwiches, it's worth a trip to this tiny little bagel shop. Great bagel place! Tasty homemade food with lots of flavor. They have a walk up option & drive thru window. Outdoor seating too on the patio. Very friendly staff, when we went it was raining and we ordered our food and they walked it out to car. I ordered the Louisiana bagel sandwich and it was the right balance of sweet. Been wanting to try this bagel place for a couple weeks and when I realized it was Friday I headed down there. They are open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I don't know the hours but when I arrived at 9:00 they were already out of a few types of bagels. I suggest going early! I had the Summer Snow Bird bagel and it was amazing! I traded out the onion bagel for an everything bagel, omg, out of this world! Got the Arizona Bagel for the honey but they were out of jalapeño bagels so I went with the Asiago bagel instead. He said it was delicious! I also got a chocolate bagel that was today's special and it's pretty good. The everything bagel takes the award though! The owners are super friendly, it's just the husband and wife making all the bagels. There's one area in the shade to sit and eat but I think most everyone takes it to go. I'll be back to try more bagels and I suggest you get on over there too!! read more

I'm an east coast transplant who has spent a fair amount of time in NYC as well as lived and traveled extensively thru the US. This place I say in all honesty has bagels the closest I've ever found to NYC bagels. They've got the chewiness that NY bagels are known for. SBC has a large menu selection as well as offering a "make your own" option. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and will help you chose! At first glance, I was a little surprised at how tiny this place was and thought to myself how could they make so many bagels in a tiny shed like building?! After I was greeted by the nice cashier, I became overwhelmed by the smell of their delicious fresh made bagels! They had plenty to choose from everything seasoned to even Mardi Gras colored (very cool). My only complaint would be that I wish the coffee was better tasting but all in all not a bad bagel from Mississippi. They have a special water filter in order mimic a New York bagel and they boil the bagels in malt like they did in the good old days. We lived in NY for many years so we felt we could judge these as pretty legit/delicious. They also have homemade apple butter and jam that we purchased as a gift. Would definitely return!! read more

The lady working the window was super nice. I believe this is the only bagel place around town? It's a small looking house that's kinda hidden on the road so you gotta pay close attention to enter. Besides that, the bagels are made fresh. I got the sesame bagel breakfast sandwich. That comes with egg, cheese, and your choice of either bacon, ham, or sausage. Don't expect the egg to be a fresh cracked one however! It's more of the mixed egg blend. The coffee is about a medium roast, it's not too strong and the best way I can describe its flavor is a hint of peanut butter dare I say?? It was okay. All in all, I can't wait to bring my friends over to try this place out! read more

We tried out Southern Bagel Company this morning and were totally impressed! They were SUPER friendly, and the food was fresh and delicious. We ordered the New Yorker bagel sandwich, Kristina's Kentucky-both on onion bagels-and a "build your own" on a bacon bagel with the jalapeño avocado spread and turkey. All of the special toppings are made there, and were great! We enjoyed eating at their outdoor table, and will definitely be back for more. If you've ever had a GREAT BAGEL, you know that smell, that bite, that chew, that flavor, that texture, that satisfaction that only a REAL BAGEL has. I'm from Ohio and simply put, this place not only has GREAT BAGELS (based on my 50+ years of eating them) you'd be hard pressed to find better in any NY bagelry.
