I had a leak and the guy came out- did a pressure test to determine if it was a slab leak. Said it wasn't and guessed it was probably outside. Didn't listen or do anything more. Determined there was no leak In the house. Charged me $150 and left. Left my water off also. I've now had another company out to look and he went to every single water source to look and listen to the pipes and did a much more thorough job. He determined that there is in fact a leak. Needless to say, I would not waste my money for a half ass leak detection from A to Z only stops at A clearly. read more

So far so good. Notice some bulging baseboards then ripples on the wall. Found these guys after a quick search. Spoke to Brandon ( I believe the boss) and explained my situation. Kenny came out probably within thirty minutes of the call. He politely called ahead and said he was on his way. Kenny did a quick assessment, set up the area with protective plastic, etc, and went to work. The leak was difficult to reach initially but Kenny was able to find it. After shutting off the water, he repaired the pipe and explained what was wrong. This is a typical problem in Talega unfortunately. Will still need some water restoration to fix swollen walls but the crux of the problem is fixed. Reasonably priced and you can use the credit card right at your home. Kenny was great. Super friendly, worked efficiently but carefully and cleaned up any mess left behind. Would recommend and HOPEFULLY do not have to use them again but if so, I would definitely call again. read more

This is a great company for complex plumbing needs. They have detected and fix two house drain pipes issues, one at a rental (years ago) and one at my primary residence. Our most recent experience was with Kenny. He came out and provided a written estimate quickly. The scheduling department and customer service is friendly and personable (something you don't usually find with plumbing and appliance repair admin staff). I received a text prior to the tech arriving and he arrived promptly both for the estimate and for the work. One the day of the repair, our plumber fixed a shower drain that was cracked and blown out. He had to chip into the slab and was able to do without damaging the copper water supply lines. After repairing the obvious repair, he had us test all the water sources from the upper floor. As it turns out, the other drain pipes and black water line were leaking (small and pretty undetectable but present and leaking just the same) and had cracks. The work essentially doubled and the our plumber went out for the additional materials and completed everything the same day. This is one of the most professional companies I dealt with. There was a scare of a leak. Called different companies at 3:40 pm yesterday. A-Z was the only one that can come right away. They charges less than the others too. We ended up agreeing to 8:30-9:00 am this morning. Diego showed up on time, called me before he came to alert me he was on his way. Handed me a folder about the company, explained what he was going to do before he did it. Very patient and professional. He confirmed there was no leak which was great news for me of course. I called the other company that couldn't come before Thursday to cancel the appointment for Thursday and had to hold for over 18 minutes on the phone to talk to someone. My wife called A to Z Plumbing on Feb. 19 at a little after 8 a.m. She was told my the man (who later it seems was named "Bob") that he would take down her info about a faucet with low pressure to see if someone could come out later that day and get back to her. She noted that sending someone out after 3 p.m. would be ideal. He said that should not be a problem. Many hours passed, and no call back. My wife called back in the 4 p.m. hour after no call and no one showing up. She got a woman on the phone, unfortunately, she didn't remember her name. The woman told her that it sounded like she spoke with "Bob" and "Bob" didn't note the issue or name and phone number. The woman, while polite, was not helpful and didn't make my wife feel that it was a big issue that "Bob" never forwarded the info to the appropriate person or followed up himself. Rather than helping my wife, the woman on the phone insisted that since Bob said he would call back and didn't it was OK since he didn't promise an appointment today. It is never acceptable to not get back to someone with a plumbing emergency. I do not know who "Bob" is, but to have someone during normal business hours who does not forward information and follow up with someone with a critical plumbing issue is completely unacceptable. The woman on the phone could not come up with a good explanation and really did not offer a solution. Rather, she said they could come tomorrow; a day which didn't work, especially since my wife took vacation time to come home early and wait for the plumber. This plumber was recommended by USAA, our home insurance provider. I will be following up with USAA to let them know that this is not a reliable vendor. I realize that this vendor has received high marks on Yelp! However, I would be wary if you call and talk to someone named "Bob." read more

We had three leak detection companies visit our home, hear our concerns and provide bids. Only A to Z provided us with the solution to reroute through our attic to avoid massive dry wall repair in our family room. Not only that, when Tom first arrived, he was prompt, polite and friendly. Wet spots kept appearing on the carpet at my moms house, her handyman told her she had a slab leak and needed a full service restoration company. I got on yelp and A to Z was the first company to answer after hours around 730pm. They sent out 2 guys the next morning and they kept me updated on their findings while I was at work and they emailed me photos which was great! My mom is older lady so I'm always cautious when she wants/needs something done to her house. They found the leak, did the dry out and repiped the copper lines. We were notified by the city of high water use, so I got the number to this company from a friend who found themselves in a similar situation before. They had a good experience so I thought that I would give A to Z Leak Detection a chance. I called and a very nice lady answered and she got me scheduled for a technician to come out the same day. The plumber arrived on time, and was so nice to take time to explain to me everything he was doing . He determined we had a slab leak and came up with a great way to stop the leak and reroute the water pipe. I couldn't be more happy with the work performed. Good contractor. Had a slab leak that they repaired recently. Felt that their rates for the actual repair were on the high-side (this is compared to almost the exact same repair we had done 6 years ago- $4200 vs $2300). They were unable to breakdown the hours spent on the repair itself to show where the delta was. Regardless they delivered as promised on the work and were super friendly so I can't complain too much. There was a small issue with the restoration (subcontractor they brought in) which they did address as well. read more

We had to work with this company because of our insurance. They found a leak in our house but made us wait a week with no water before they would fix it. The repairman showed up an hour late. Fifteen minutes after the leak was fixed, he claimed there was another. By making two claims instead of one, we would be forced to pay the deductible twice. He refused to acknowledge that he should have found the other leak and fixed it on the same visit. Now we are beginning our second week with no water. When he finally came back, he said he was mistaken about the second leak and we didn't need to have the water off for the weekend after all. read more

We had leak in our master bedroom walk-in closet. I called AtoZ leak detection and Kenny was assigned to come and find the leak. After checking the whole house he pin pointed the leak under the slab in the walk-in closet. He gave me an estimate to RE-route the water line which went to our laundry room. His estimate was reasonable and I gave him the business to reroute the water pipe. Kenny with the help of his coworker Diego completed the reroute in less than 6 hrs. I call A to Z leak after I have 2 other plumber come out to my home that completed a repair but I still I had water showing up on my garage floor. On the first try they were able to find the leaking line, repair it and replace the damage drywall. Good price, clean and done .... I want to be more than fair. I should probably give A to Z one star, but because they were pleasant I am giving them two. When the plumber came to my house he spent about 45 minutes looking into the situation but was unable to do anything other than tell me we had a leak in the main line, but he had no idea where it was. For this, I had to pay $250 (a $35 "break" from what had been quoted to me after I expressed some unhappiness with the situation). I am sure this company is fine for locating slab leaks, but I wouldn't call them if your leak might be on your grounds. Despite their claims, they really don't have the equipment to find outdoor leaks. And while the leak specialist was nice, and tried to be accommodating, he was of absolutely no help in the situation. As I told him, I had already pretty much ruled out an interior leak. I had also told the dispatcher/receptionist that I was fairly sure the leak was in our yard, and that it couldn't be a pool leak as I manually filled up our pool. If she had told me that based on what I was telling her that A to Z would likely not be able to help me, I never would have agreed to the hefty charge for their coming out. Parenthetically I need to add that after their leak "specialist" left I called our local water district and explained that judging by the meter a large amount of water was disappearing somewhere. The water district dispatched one of their techs. Even without detection equipment (and A to Z claims they have state of the art), the water district employee was able to determine roughly where the leak was (our front yard), and after turning a shut off valve we were at least able to stop the water. If the A to Z plumber had at least done this, I might have felt better about their visit. As it was, all I could feel was that I had wasted $250 for absolutely nothing. A to Z, if you know you can''t do anything, don't come out! And if you can't do anything, is it right to charge $250 for less than an hour's work? read more

Don't make the same mistake I did, just call another leak detection company. Three years ago I found evidence of a water leak in my formal dining room. I made an insurance claim, paid the $1,000 deductible, my walls were torn out, my family was exposed to mold, and I used over a week of vacation time to accommodate contractors. A to Z Leak Detection could not find the source of the leak and speculated it was a splash over in the master tub. This was viewed with skepticism by everyone, but I had no way to prove otherwise and I trusted A to Z were professionals and knew what they were doing. Two years later I had another leak in the same area and the entire process was repeated. I made another insurance claim, paid another $1,000 deductible, took several days of vacation time to deal with contractors and my family was again exposed to mold. Again, A to Z could not find the leak and this time they guessed it was caused by my cleaning service spraying water on the tub surround. Once again I was skeptical but could not prove otherwise. In July 2016, I again found water damage on this same wall - for the 3rd time! This time I personally tracked the water damage ABOVE the master tub and ultimately was able to attribute the leak to the air conditioning unit in the attic. The leak was caused by a blocked primary condensate line and the secondary was obstructed during construction. For over three years water had been draining into my walls, which were teeming with mold. After exposing my family to mold, spending thousands of dollars and weeks of my vacation time over the life of this issue I asked the owner of A to Z Leak Detection, Brandon Taliaferro, to at least cover the cost of the third mold remediation, which exceeded my insurance cap by $2,700. I explained that they had misdiagnosed this leak twice and costs me thousands of dollars and weeks of inconvenience as a result. After weeks of not returning my calls, I finally tracked him down and he refused to cover anything. I told him I would share this story on social media so other customers wouldn't make the same mistake I did. In December I received a letter from Mr. Taliaferro threatening legal action for any online defamation. Mr. Taliaferro, the truth is the truth and I will respond in kind to any legal action you bring as a result of this or any other review I post of my interactions with you and your company. Dealing with A to Z Leak Detection has been a terrible and costly experience for me - don't make the same mistake! read more

A to Z was absolutely phenomenal to us with our extensive water damage. At 6am on a Saturday after we woke up to flooded rooms and bathroom we had to call another plumber to come stop the leak. Their plumbing work was fine, but they were expensive and we felt like they were trying to squeeze as much money out of us as possible, especially since this was considered a "black water" leak. On Sunday we called A to Z and they had Kenny out there the next morning. We had a quote in hand by end of day that was 25% less than the estimate provided by the other company and they began remediation the following day. Brandon was scheduled to visit our house and give us an estimate. He was late and missed his first appointment and had to reschedule. He came later in the day and told me he would email an estimate to us. 2 days passed (while we have no water) and Brandon still has not responded with an estimate. Contacted USAA, our insurance company, and they recommended A to Z Leak Detection as a preferred vendor for the initial inspection of the problem. Got a call within an hour of contacting USAA and they were at the house the next day...Saturday. While they were just called in to do the inspection, I chose to use them for the plumbing repair and mold remediation as well. I contacted my insurance to start a claim based on the fact that my meter recorded a small leak. Since I didn't know a reliable leak detection plumber in the area I used one recommended by my insurance. A to Z alerted me to their arrival, arrived on time and asked me to explain the situation. I stated I could hear a hissing sound in the pressure regulator and that my meter indicated a leak. The technician tested all the possible areas in the Condo, both in and out and could not detect a leak, although, he said the pressure regulator indicated it should be a sizable leak - but, no indication of water. He went through the entire house three times. Before he called his supervisor as to the next course of action, he spotted a lot of rust on the hose attached to the exterior hose bib. His meter did not indicate a leak. When he removed the hose there was enough of a leak to have caused the water meter to register over the period of time I had timed it. He asked if I wanted him to replace the hose bib. I agreed. No more leak. I paid for the hose bib and attachment, though I could have done that part myself. At 75 and a recent widow it seemed the right decision. A to Z has notified me that the claim has been sent to my insurance. I'll wait the results, but, for this incidence I am pleased with the Technicialn and the company. I have recommended them to two other neighbors. read more
