So food is actually pretty good, 4 of us had tortas, 1 Cuban, 2 perrona, and 1 norteña. Only thing was the service not bad but not welcoming, it seems as they are well known or might have quite a bit of business, attitude seemed as if you don't want to eat here it's ok we got plenty of business. Once that started obviously other things come into play like the music they were playing not sure where they get their Mexican music from, all kinds of different artist was great however all the songs had this Rythim playing with it, sounded like Someone was in the back playing drums the same beat for all the songs!!! I think this place opened sometime after Memorial Day. If you like authentic Mexican Tortas (a sandwich, not a cake), then this is a great place for them. I've had the carnitas and the al pastor so far and both were fantastic. They also have tacos, burritos, and all if the other typical Mexi fare, but I can get those anywhere. Solid bowl of menudo (con pata) this morning after a late night out. :) For awhile I've been driving past this place off 38th and their sign has always captivated me. "Tortas ATM - a A Todo Madre". Well today I pulled the trigger and paid the place a visit. Parking is limited...so I parked on the street out front. Came into the place and caught some light tropical playing in the background. All good so far. From there I was warmly greeted by on of the ladies running things and placed my order. I was a little nervous that things wouldn't be great as I was the only customer. However, my nerves began to settle once I looked the menu over. A place serving raspas, EEV (elote en vaso), and my all time fav - torta milanesa can't be all that bad. Well it didn't take long but more people started showing up. A few saw my big bowl of menudo and even ordered some for themselves. We have been ignoring this place for no other reason then the Spice Room next door get's our attention all the time. This place is delicious. My husband and I could share one torta, but did we? No. He dove into the Coqueta and I chomped down the Lagunera. We each brought home half our sandwiches for dinner...that night. They have a nice selection of sauces and accompaniments to add to your sandwich. Service was super friendly, and you can eat outside, though noisy due to street traffic. BEST breakfast burritos in Denver. Hands down. Great variety and super authentic menu. Total hole in the wall, but don't judge a book by its cover. Get the green chili in your burrito, it's not too hot, provides just the right kick. You can also get it smothered if you want. They're perfectly wrapped and always hot (temperature-wise). It's an incredible steal for the portions and price. You will be full off of one, I promise. I'd also recommend their tostadas. BARF! Just ordered flautas and a quesadilla for my 2 year old and oh man, I'm not sure what they thought they were making? Chicken was overdone, crunchy, gristley and dry. I thought maybe it was a joke. Called the restaurant and they said that I could get my money if I brought the food back. The food was for my husband who is leaving for work. I explained that wasn't possible for me to return the food immediately and the very rude manager told me never to order from them again lol FINE BY ME!!! How have I lived the the hood for five years and never been to Tortas A Today Madre? Very friendly service, clean and comfortable atmosphere and great music. The tortas are HUGE! $7.50 for a Tortas Carnitas which included a lot of flavorful, juicy pork along with lettuce, tomato and guacamole on a giant, soft roll. We just tried this for the first time. The menu is large, so it took a couple minutes to decide...we got a ham torta. It was delish...really, really tasty! There was some kind of hot salsa on the sandwich, which was HOT, but flavorful and didn't detract from the overall flavor. If you go, definitely check out the salsa bar. Learned about this place from another review for Poco Torteria in Avanti, LOL. Parking is on the street or there's some stalls by the adjacent liquor store. It's fairly small with about six booths and a few tables. They've rearranged since the interior photos taken in late 2014 -- there's a bigger menu (with many more items: tortas, hamburgers, plates, etc.) on a big billboard (in Spanish), more refrigerators for drinks, and prices are higher (think my torta was $8). Service was no-nonsense and got the torta about 5 minutes later. It's the Legunera which is like asada, avocado, chipotle sauce, lettuce, and maybe some other stuff. It's good-sized (unlike the "torta" at Poco Torteria) and makes a meal, even without any sides. There's also a salsa bar which was well-stocked and also had a crock pot but that was empty. They have gone downhill. I bought two carne asada burritos, and a $9.50 torta on 1/18/19. The burritos were full of green chile and about two tablespoons of overcooked steak. You get MUCH more meat at chain concepts such as Qdoba and Chipotle. read more

I order corn on a cup and my friends order totislocos and we were told he had to wait because they have big orders (food plates) in front of us. If i order a plate of food then understandable why we had to wait longer. No, we order two basic things that should have taken less then 5 min. The corn on a cup only had 4 ingredients; cheese, corn, hot sauce, mayo. That shouldn't take more then 15 mins. If you want to go to tortas ATM you will been to have your patience. This place is AWFUL!!!! Stay far away!! I am an easy person to please when it comes to Mexican food: just give me some good chips and guacamole and I'll give you a pass. But this was so far below the standard that I had to write a review. I ordered a quesadilla with chicken, chips and guacamole-- the guacamole was INEDIBLY rotten (think moldy soap taste with mild avo flavor), the chips were stale as cardboard, and they served me up a tortilla with cheese -- no chicken, and some watery salsa (and that's it), as my "chicken quesadilla." I am absolutely disgusted that they are able to get away with charging someone $20 for that garbage. God knows what else is going on in a Mexican restaurant/kitchen that serves rotten guacamole and stale chips. read more
