I really wish I had before and after pictures to allow you guys the world of difference Jeary Dollison has done on our carpets... this is maybe the 6th time i've used a carpet cleaning service and generally speaking, I'm usually dismayed by the service I've received and all the 'extras' that they try to sell me on after agreeing to a set price. this was not the case at all this time. I was given a very very reasonable price quote over the phone, and was not asked for a penny more even after Jeary(our service technician) went above and beyond the call of duty and put in the extra elbow grease that had been unheard of in this business. I spoke with the owner on the phone late last night. to my surprise, he answered the phone and was very professional around 11pm on a Friday night. (I expected to leave a message) I informed him of the urgency I had to get the carpets cleaned asap, so even with as busy as they are, he was able to fit me in for first thing this morning. incredible customer service and scheduling! Jeary, the master cleaning technician that arrived here, called me promptly at 10am as he pulled up at the scheduled time. parking outside was a bit of a challenge today as there are a couple busy breakfast diners a few doors down, but he was eager to meet my needs as a customer and worked around the parking situation. good thing he had plenty of hose in his service vehicle! he walked in and saw that there was a bit of a mess (I wasn't exactly prepared quite yet) but gave me a moment to move some things out of the way, and even offered assistance with the things I could not move on my own. very nice guy! anyway, the carpets in this location have never been cleaned and are 30 years old. I have a 130lb dog that managed to dirty up the carpets pretty good. so good that I had forgotten what color the original color of the carpets were. there were also stains from several years ago that I had never been able to remove on my own regardless of how hard I had tried to get them up. he pointed them out and said that he would do his best. amazingly, not only were there no trace of the stains after he finished, but the carpets looked brand new. no pet smell anymore either! ultimately, Im highly satisfied - and if you're reading this review, then you're probably looking to get your upholstery or carpet cleaned. A1 staffs many service technicians, so I can only vouch for the gentleman that came to my rescue today, Jeary Dollison. Excuses, excuses... Why would your technician ask for additional money and guarantee that there would be no issues. Your company advertises RISK FREE GUARANTEE. IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY, THE CLEANING IS FREE. Also it states No Surprises. Your technician inspected the rooms before cleaning. He was aware how clean and or dirty were each rooms. I did request a different technician to and You refused. Very disappointed. You company is more concerned about a BAD review rather than train your technician to the job correctly the first time around. I do remember our conversion very rude on the phone. read more

I noticed our neighbor having her carpets cleaned and I asked if they could give me an estimate. Afterward David M. cleaned the carpets. The carpets had several pet stains and he cleaned them so that the carpets looked as when they were first installed. The cleaning solution had a pleasant scent and the carpets dried way before my tenant arrived home. I will most likely have give A1 a return job tbe next time I need carpeting cleaning. read more

Tony was great! He kept me informed on his arrival time. When he got here he explained what he was going to do and how he was going to do it. He showed me spots and how he thought they got there and how my cleaning people made them much worse. It was a difficult job and it took him considerably longer than he anticipated but he stuck with it and it came out great. We had got several bids and theirs was not the lowest price. But I am sure I got the best value. We have used many carpet cleaning companies in the past. These guys are the best! I would recommend using A-1 carpet care. read more

This company is unprofessional and not willing to compensate customers for their wasted time and inconvenience. I scheduled their services (for 2 roomns and a hallway) between 11 am-2 pm today (a Saturday) because I work during the week and have a Halloween gathering next weekend. Accordingly, I moved all furniture from the 2 rooms into my family room. At 1:30 pm today, I received an email message that their technician's car broke down and they could not make the appmnt. I received NO CALL. When I called them, they claimed they did not have my phone number to call me - unbelievable. I requested that they send someone tomorrow, Sunday, given the circumstances (I had wasted Friday night and this morning moving furniture and cannot reschedule during the week). They said NO. They expected me to miss work on Monday for them to reschedule. When I expressed how upset I am for the inconvenience, they tried to put the blame on me (that my carpet is not getting cleaned today) by claiming that they came to my house early this morning before 10 am (my appmnt was from 11am-2pm), but nobody was home. Moreover, they did not bother to offer me a discount or free carpet cleaning ($99 value) for me having to miss work on Monday (if I rescheduled). That is the least they could have done. Instead, I now I have both a family room full of furniture and dirty carpet. What's worse, it's too late to find another company to clean my carpet tomorrow or before my Halloween gathering without me having to waste more time and money. read more

I'm sad to hear bad reviews about this company. No, I do not work for them, nor have any affiliation with them. When I lived in San Pedro, Torrance, and Redondo Beach, they cleaned my carpets very professionally and at low rates. The carpet cleaning business is competitive, and their work model may be to contract out jobs to local cleaners in the area, I don't know. This is the model for many other trades like termite treatment. They are dependent on many variables, like weather, or hard to reach apartments. The local guy may not have fancy equipment, and the out of town guys may charge too much for driving to be worthwhile. As customers, we have to understand that, and not use this venue to vent, but to write a fair and useful review for others. To that extent, let me say that on my last owned house and two houses I rented later ... the technicians arrived within time frame (they work multiple jobs daily) the technicians went above and beyond the call of duty, redoing some areas with heavy traffic, and deodorized some pet urine stains (and smell!) they gave me useful advice for future carpet care they moved some furniture out of the way they cleaned up before they left the carpets looked very clean and beautiful! I have high praise for them. Its been a few years now (I have wood floors), so I cannot comment on recent reviews, but this has been my experience. I would highly recommend them. Like all other trades from doctors and dentists, to plumbers and cleaners, treat the technician kindly, be nice to them, and they usually do their best for you. These folks were recommended by my friend in Lomita, and she always has good people. She has used them for years. read more

I had my carpet stream cleaned by A1 carpet Care this morning at 9am on 9/16 the technicians were kind but of course they are doing what their Company tells them too do I did get upset and it's not the workers fault and asked if I wanted shampoo If I did want this it would be a separate charge of $75 if you want that done it would be another separate cost and etc. Not pleased at all they streamed stairs, small hallway and 3 bedrooms in 43 minutes at the cost of $161 and it will take 10 hours for the carpet to dry 10 hours can you imagine what their discount price and work would be REALLY. This company to me is a joke they have so any locations and contract out you probably won't never ever get the same workers. Can you tell I am upset. WOW it's because I am upset read more

First of all I must say that the receptionist I spoke with was very sweet and extremely helpful. And in the end the carpet cleaners did a good job cleaning our carpeting. But I am only giving them 3 stars because of the lack of professionalism and completely appalling attitude of the cleaner. He arrived over an hour late. He parked his truck and trailer in the apartment lot, blocking 3 tenant garages. When the landlord asked him to move his truck he gave me attitude and told me to talk to the landlord because he wouldn't be able to do his job. I was so taken aback and embarrassed by his attitude. He caused a complete scene, calling the landlord names and acting extremely childish. I was absolutely amazed and told him I would prefer if he left without completing the job. He refused to leave. He finished the job, but complained almost the entire time. In addition, he ran hoses all around the sidewalk and walkways, causing a real hazard for anyone walking around. We will not be using this company again because of that particular employee. read more

A1 Carpet Care ~ Does Not Care!! I found their advertisement in the Penny Saver. It seemed modest and realistic compared to the others who were advertising $5/room. I visited their website and it looked very legit. They seemed to be very knowledgeable and prided them selves on being different than 'the other guys.' I searched YELP but could not find a review but based off their website, they looked pretty trust worthy so I took a chance. They also do duct cleaning which I needed so I thought- great, I'll get both services and only have to deal with one company. When I called Natalie helped set up the appointment for two days later for a later time slot which gave me time to finish packing up before they arrived (noon-3pm). Their prices seemed reasonable, she was very friendly, and she informed me that they would call the next day to confirm. David called the next day to confirm the appointment as expected. Oh great, everything seemed to be in order! However, on the morning of the big day, David called again and left a message that the technician was concerned that with the rain the dirty hoses would be running on the carpet and he wasn't sure if he'd be able to do the job and he also wanted to know if the technician could come earlier since he was finishing up a job in Azusa and then would drive down to Huntington. I called David back right away and said the earlier time would be fine and then he began to tell me how the technician was concerned that the hoses wouldn't be able to reach our unit. He started asking me questions about how close our unit was to the street and if a 150 ft hose would reach. - How was I supposed to know and better yet, why hadn't they asked me about this before? Why hadn't they informed me that they only offer truck mounted units in Orange County when I set up the appointment? - So David has the technician call us directly. My brother spoke to the technician and he told us that as long as he could park within 50 ft of the entrance he'd be able to do the job. Ok fine, annoying that we had to go through all that on the day of but at least he's coming and we'll get the job done today. A few minutes later I get another call from David and he informed us that the technician would not be coming and that they would be unable to clean our carpets. I asked David if the technician would come and at least try to see if the hoses would reach. He said no. I asked him why they didn't ask us and inform us about all of this when we made the appointment. He said he was sorry. I'm glad he's sorry but when I asked him what I was supposed to do he offered no remedy. He didn't offer a number to another company who he works with that might be able to help us. I told him I was sincerely disappointed in the service their company provided, that I would never be doing business with them again and I would never recommend them to a friend. I felt very frustrated since David was giving me several excuses and it seemed that the technician was just trying to get out of doing the job, first they wanted to change the appointment time and when I accommodated, then they were concerned about the rain, then the hose wasn't long enough. If you didn't want to do the job why did you take the appointment? So to keep true to my word, Yelp Friends, I do not recommend this company. I will also be finding a different company to work with to get our air ducts cleaned. Thanks for nothing but hassle and stress A1 Carpet. You won't be doing any business with me in the future- ever. You are as much of a scam as those guys who offer $5 a room in my book. read more

Oscar did an amazing job cleaning my carpets. We will definitely use A1 Carpet Care again!

My husband placed an order with A1 Carpet Care last week with Wendy for 2 rooms and a hallway and was quoted $60. Ramos Carpet Cleaning just left here (I guess they contract the jobs out), and refused to clean the hallway, stating that with the hallway the cost would be $80. They cleaned the living room which is 17ft by 19ft, and the dining room which is only 6.5ft by 7ft, and refused to clean the hallway which is 10ft by 3ft! They said I could have gotten 2 rooms the size of the living room cleaned for $60, but they would not clean the 30 square ft hallway unless I paid an additional $20. Makes no sense to me that they do not account for the size of the rooms unless they are too large, then Ramos said they would have to charge you extra. The real problem as I see it is with A1 Carpet Care and their customer service. My husband asked for 2 rooms and a hallway and was misquoted $60. When I called Wendy at A1 back, Ramos had already alerted her that I was dissatisfied, and she answered the phone and angrily said "A1 Carpet Care, how can I help you?" I said that my husband placed an order last week, that the carpet cleaners had just left, and that I was dissatisfied. She said loudly and angrily said, "YES! How can I help you?" I started to explain and she cut me off and asked "Is this Mrs. Love?" I said yes, continued to explain why I was dissatisfied, and she forcefully told me that the price for 2 rooms and a hallway was $79.95 and that my husband did not tell her he wanted the hallway cleaned, her proof being " 'cause I have the paperwork right here!" He is sure that he asked for the hallway, so if for no other reason, do not call A1 Carpet Care because they are unprofessional. Getting the order straight is the least a good business could do. read more
