We purchased flooring for our bathrooms and carpeting for the rest of our house from A1 Carpeting in Thousand Oaks. The experience has been exceptional from purchasing the materials to installation. We never felt any sales pressure from Kevin who helped us in the store. His attitude was always that he was there to help us choose what we wanted. Everyone from Alex, the owner, to Kevin to the installers was professional and pleasant to work with. The carpeting had been installed for less than a year when we began to notice what we felt was unusual wear for two people. We called A1 and Alex came out to check the carpeting. He agreed with us and contacted the manufacturer who sent out an inspector to do a detailed inspection of the carpet. Two weeks later the manufacturer said we had normal wear and they would not replace the carpet. Alex would not accept this conclusion and personally intervened. The manufacturer decided then that they would replace the carpeting at no cost to us. Three weeks ago new carpeting was put in and we could not be more pleased. The sales associates were nice and helped us right away. We selected flooring that was in stock and set an appointment for installation the following week. There were some issues with scratches on the flooring and a couple of areas that chipped within the first week. Additionally, the installers did not replace the rail of the closet but didn't tell us, we assumed it'd been re-installed. The associate, Herach, worked with us and after several phone calls, photographs and text messages, the damaged planks were removed and new planks were installed. Additionally, they agreed to complete the installation of the closet and put the rail back in this time, however, they weren't able to add the sliding doors. After they left we added them back in ourselves. Instead of installation taking half a day, it was a couple of weeks before everything lined up, we had new floors and we were able to put our house back in order. Overall the associate, Herach, was kind and did what he could to make sure things were done right and that we were happy customers. I believe that A1 Flooring cares about its customers. read more

We selected A1-Carpet for our kitchen renovation after visiting many cabinet suppliers throughout Ventura County, North Hollywood and Los Angeles. They have beautiful, high quality cabinets at a very competitive price, with many different styles to select from. It is easy to see the quality of the cabinets from their display models. I encourage everyone to stop in and see for yourselves. We selected a Euro style, very clean look cabinet with a matte white finish. My husband and I were very happy with our carpet from A1 Carpet. We originally picked carpet that had to be made. We waited weeks and when it was finally delivered, it was not the same quality and shade of the carpeting we selected. We were very upset. Shaun took care of everything for us. He complained to the company and returned the carpet. We had everything in our house packed up for our new carpeting. We told Shaun we needed carpet already made and ready to go. He worked with us to find a great replacement. The carpet turned out to be more expensive, but he keep the price that we had paid for the original carpet. We have just had A-1 Flooring install hardwood floors throughout our entire house. I was so nervous having workers in the house and I wanted everything to be perfect. The installers arrived at about 9:00 am this morning and were very efficient, the two men were a great team. They looked like they could do this in their sleep. They did our living room and dining room (one long room) wall to wall and the master bedroom. They finished up the job a little after 12:00 pm. Great job, professionally done. It was over 26 years since we put in new carpet. I was apprehensive in checking out the flooring places in our area. Some had a large selection available while others had a limited selection. All I can say is WOW! Our flooring and carpet looks wonderful. I took a picture into Alex and showed him what I wanted to do in my master bath, but I needed to do it on a budget. Well I ended up with exactly what I wanted, which wasn't easy because the tile was set in a Herringbone pattern. Great service during install and I needed service after 2 years after the carpet got loss in few places and needed stretching. I called few times to get it scheduled and it turned out that their repair department was still short staffed due to Covit-19 and this is on top of the catch-up they have from the time people didn't like any one to come to their home.
