    I've been needing to see a dentist badly for a couple of months now and I'm glad that A1 dental care was able to take me in within the next week of booking. Pulling up to the parking lot there was tons of parking and you can easily spot the office with all of their huge discount signs posted all over the windows. I think it's great that they advertise discounts because dental isn't cheap and I've never heard of other offices giving out any type of discounts, so I really like this place for that alone. At my appointment The first thing we did was take tons of photos and X-rays. When I say I have never in my life been to a dentist office that does such a thorough job with examination, I mean it! Shout out to mahea for doing such a great job and instructing me for each photo and being so nice. Mahea walked me through all the photos showed me exactly what was happening with my teeth and answered all my questions. Once that was done Dr. Lee came in and went over all the possible options of fixing my teeth. I appreciate the transparency and how he went into detail about each Tooth and what they need. I told him I wanted to have invisiline in the future and he focused on the actions we can take to get me there. After a lot of discussion I was greeted by Alex who went through all of my insurance details and was great at explaining what's covered and what not. I appreciate her for being cool about everything being that I needed a lot of work done she gave me some tips on how we can do it in the most efficient and affordable way. Can't wait for my next appointment, I'm happy I found a great dentist that cares about what the patient wants and not just pushing their own agenda without discussion. 100% recommend!

    I searched high and low for my partner to get a tooth extracted because he is so deathly afraid of…read moredoctors and dentists, so I needed to find a surgeon that was able to do the procedure under sedation. I don't know HOW to put into words how this doctor was worth every single cent but I'm going to try. So I called around the valley to ask for surgeons. Most of them brushed me off with very little detail especially because considering that this is surgery, it could be very expensive. Most places ignored me and said "you'll have to come in to find out how much your procedure will be with your insurance". That's crazy. Who has the time to go from office to office to get an estimate AND pay for a consult?? Anyway I stumbled onto a doctor AND a dental surgeon, UCLA grad, in Summerlin-- Dr. Letelier. Granted, a bit far away from my house but so worth it. Immediately upon calling, I spoke to MEMO. Incredibly kind, knowledgeable, gave me an estimate right away and scheduled my partner for an IMMEDIATE appt. Surgery day: could not have gone better. EVERY SINGLE PERSON working there was so so so nice!!! The doctor was incredible and put my partner at ease. My partner texted me and said "Thank you for finding him for me! I'm not so scared about this procedure anymore" right before they sedated him. The practice was beautiful, professional, and clean. My partner has been raving about this practice since picking him up. Bonus? The out of pocket price (after my insurance) came down so much lower than estimated/quoted. They kept finding ways to add discounts. WOW. WOW. WOW. INCREDIBLE!!!! So grateful.

    Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Communication Failures and Improper Cancellation of Scheduled…read moreProcedure I am sharing this publicly as a mother who cannot tolerate the negligence shown by this dental office. I have full proof of emails and documentation to support my experience. Speaking to them is like trying to explain the ABCs and numbers to someone--they simply cannot comprehend basic communication. On January 23, my son was seen for a consultation with Dr. Degan. X-rays revealed that a retained baby tooth needed extraction before his scheduled orthodontic brackets on January 30. This extraction was time-sensitive for proper orthodontic treatment. An appointment for extraction under anesthesia was scheduled for February 13. During the scheduling process, I felt rushed through paperwork and was not provided with full information. Despite repeated requests for anesthesiologist contact information to discuss questions about my son's care, the office repeatedly told me the anesthesiologist would only call the day before the procedure. After many attempts, I was finally able to speak with the anesthesiologist, who addressed all my questions and confirmed the procedure was cleared. Despite this, I was later informed that the appointment could not proceed because the office mistakenly reported that I had canceled it. As a result, the procedure was postponed, and no new date could initially be confirmed. At no point did I request to cancel the appointment. My concerns were solely about ensuring my son's safety and understanding the procedure. Miscommunication by the office caused unnecessary delay and stress. The negligence toward a child is deeply disturbing. Parents, especially those with children who have special needs, please be cautious when considering this practice. Misunderstandings here can have real consequences for a child's health and treatment. I am extremely grateful to my son's dentist and his orthodontist and their staff, whose responsiveness and efficiency expedited the referral and ensured my son could be seen sooner, helping to prevent further delay in his treatment. I hope there will be consequences for their undue actions and unprofessional behavior, as this level of negligence should not be ignored. I will continue to post, repost, and share my concerns with those I know who need care. Although this practice claims to prioritize safety and comfort, my experience indicates that it has not consistently met these standards. When I spoke with the office staff, I felt dismissed. Communicating during this process felt like driving into constant road rage--every attempt to explain myself was cut off before my point could be understood. When I spoke with the anesthesiologist, the conversation felt clear, direct, and reassuring. Questions were addressed efficiently, and we were able to understand each other in a straightforward way. It wasn't complicated. In contrast, interactions with the office staff and manager have felt rushed and procedural and requests for clarification or support seemed to be dismissed. This approach doesn't align with effective patient care. There's a noticeable difference between communication that supports understanding and engagement, and communication that simply goes through the motions. Clear, patient-centered communication makes a significant difference, and I hope this can be better reflected in the office experience. Many reviews mention that communication is key--and I wasn't surprised. The staff and manager lack it. It felt like walking into a swap meet: minimal explanation, abrupt offers, and little clarity. I didn't understand much of what was being said. In the end, I'm glad we didn't proceed with the procedure. There's no winning or losing here--it'a about patient safety and comfort. Fabrication and false claims about cancellation are serious matters and should be taken into consideration! I don't understand why something so simple--being able to speak with the anesthesiologist to ask questions or address concerns--has to be so difficult. It's not a major medical issue; it's just basic communication, and patients should be able to do this easily. By posting your business on Yelp, you acknowledge that the platform exists for people to post reviews and respond to others' feedback. "Despite decades of education and experience--beginning with his studies and career at NYU in 2003--what value does it hold if the only people you rely on are those you hire? I stand by my words as true and valid, because nothing is more important than my child. When a parent is not allowed to ask questions about the treatment process, it goes beyond mere oversight; it represents a fundamental failure to provide appropriate care from the very start." "How can they remain so calm and assured, as if nothing could stop them from mistreating others? Any values they may have once held seem meaningless compared to and false assurances they continue to provide."

I haven't been to the dentist in longer than I care to admit (I can't be the only one, c'mon!) so I was immediately attracted by the $39 offer for xrays and an initial exam. It was just that too, no strings attached or hidden fees. I arrived early to fill out the paperwork which didn't take more than ten minutes. I was brought back about 20 min after my appointment time and was out of the office in under 45 min. The dentist and hygienist seemed very genuine. I didn't feel like anyone tried to "make-up"'issues to get me to spend more money. They were also very helpful with a referral to a specialists- which I assumed I might need even before my appointment. There's a Care Credit program to help with payments which I felt was kind of aggressively offered, but I declined in order to investigate other payment options and I'm glad I did because I saw they have a Smile Saver program which may be even more affordable for what I need specifically. I was hesitant to book here because of the negative Yelp reviews but the Rainbow/Warm Springs location had better reviews than other locations and I thought, at worst I waste $39 which is less than anywhere else I found. Luckily, it didn't end up being a waste!

The dentist (Dr. Kumar) identified the issue and was able to resolve the problem and we were done within the hour. No issues with insurance or anything else listed in previous comments. We chose this place as it was the closest to where we were at the time of the pain incident and only location that was willing to see us right away. Mahalo to Dr. Kumar as she saved our vacation!
