This office is less than helpful. The front desk does not know how to check you into your appointment. They are money hungry and do not know how to properly check your dental insurance benefits. They also do not know how to read insurance benefits that is clearing printed out in front of them! Prior to my appointment I called to verify that they had my dental plan on file. They said that they would call and proceeded to tell me that I had no benefits outside of basic cleaning. I brought to the office my dental plan coverage and Patty at the front desk, said my dental insurance only covered until the age of 14. That they had already called my insurance and my medical is paired with my dental. Informed her I pay for my dental separate from my medical. She still insisted it didn't cover anything and to call my insurance. I called my dental plan and my insurance representative called the dental office to confirm that they did not call the right insurance number to verify coverage. Stay away from this office that just tries to make you pay for services without checking your dental benefits!!! read more

I was very pleased as soon as I walked in. The office was remodeled since my last visit and it is much more appealing and welcoming. There was also some new staff since my last visit but everyone I engaged with, new and longstanding, were very pleasant and professional. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Dr. Tam was incredibly attentive and took the time to explain every step of my treatment. He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. He really cares about the well-being of his patients. The dental assistants are ALL amazing. I wish I read the reviews before coming to this office. They are money making machine, all they try to do is upsell you for things that are not covered by your insurance. They refused to do a basic cleaning for both myself and my husband. What's funny is my quote was $1120 and my husband who was "worse off," his quote was less somehow. No one enjoys going to the dentist. I've been coming here since I moved to Vegas almost 10 years ago. I've gotten my wisdom teeth removed and invisalign from them. Blood pressure is a little elevated when I go to my cleanings but after the visit I'm back to normal. They do like to scare their patients with deep cleanings and laser treatments. Luckily for me they don't suggest it every time, maybe once a year. I have decent health insurance. read more

The dentist was fine, but the front office, receptionist staff are awful. They group around the front desk, but don't acknowledge you when you walk in. I arrived 20mins early, 6 of them at the front desk, no one said a word to me. I signed in and sat down. 40 mins later, 20 mins after my appt time, the doctor came to the front to see if I had arrived. When I call to get an appt, it's just as bad. The person I always seem to get on the phone has a thick accent, so understanding them is often a barrier, after several mins of repeating myself, I usually hang up. Very frustrating. Once I finish my adjustments and follow-up, I will not be back. read more

Please don't go to this place. They will find anything wrong and say you have so many issues. They said I needed a deep cleaning, laser and etc. $500, later. Then in 6 months, another deep cleaning, $250 later. About a year later, I went back to my old dentist and asked don't I need a deep cleaning? He said what for? I was so mad that I spent all that money for nothing. They also did the same to my husband and he went to another dentist (he found his own) for a 2nd opinion. Mountian dental said he had 7 cavities. The new dentist, he saw, said he had 2. Not as bad but didn't clearly he didn't have many issues. There are reasons many people on here are saying that they price gouge and make you think your teeth is worse to get more money. Again, see yourself if you dare. read more

An emergency is w/e you could of told me sooner then let me sit so long. Now I dont feel comfortable to drive down and waste my time and money again. Looking for a new dentist can be daunting but luckily, I was able to find a dentist near me that accepted my insurance. I was assigned to Dr. Yu who was super friendly and very helpful. The staff was also very friendly - obviously a new patient, you're going to do a lot of X-rays. It was a longer appointment than I imagined but definitely got all my questions answered. I also did the laser treatment on my gums (it cost out of pocket so about $200) and I definitely recommend. It was a little sore but my gums felt and looked soooo healthy after. I never had this option before so glad it was offered. My only con was that it operated a little slower than what I'm normally used to at other offices where it was quick and on the go. I just had a few waiting times here and there. read more

This place is such a scam... and it's so unfortunate it comes from a medical office where you shouldn't have to worry about these type of things. The only way you can possibly afford to go here regularly is if you're a millionaire. This dentist office is so "for profit" it makes me sick looking back in hindsight for the thousands I spent on care here. When my wife and I first signed up for this place we were very impressed with all the technology and high quality products offered, but now we know how they can afford to have all those fancy tools. We were both told we needed "deep cleanings" and had 5's everywhere in our mouth to which we were told a laser and irrigation were necessary to fix the issue. Shocker... the laser and irrigation aren't covered by insurance and cost $800 for each of us. We were also told to get a water pick, electric tooth brushes, and floss every day. So $2000 later we both go in for follow up appointments and guess what, all measurements are not only the same, but worse! Our gums apparently got worse after doing the $800 deep cleanings and buying all the new teeth products for home. So you guessed it, deep cleanings were recommended again! For another $800 each. It didn't take long to recognize a pattern. No matter what you do, they're always going to push these additional services on their patients. Here's the kicker, we recently went just 2 miles down the road to another dentist office with 5 star reviews and found out their laser and irrigation is 30% of the cost of what this place charges!! So the decision was easy to switch over to get our deep cleanings done, as we are not millionaires. But a funny thing happened, we walked in a told them we wanted to do deep cleanings with the lasers and irrigation because we could get both done for less than the price of one at mountain dental group, but to our surprise after the exam the doctor asked us "Why do you need a deep cleaning?? I don't see any reason whatsoever you would need a deep cleaning with all of that." I'M SORRY, EXCUSE ME!? That's when it became crystal clear the scam that this place is. Two stars because the staff is very nice here. Can't blame them for working for a corporate trash medical practice that forces them to hit their numbers. Do yourself a favor and trust me when I say, explore your options!! There is a great dentist office two miles away I highly recommend where you can trust you're not being swindled and save yourself thousands of dollars! I asked them for nearly a decade to call my phone to confirm appointments as my husband is constantly traveling. They never do The main receptionist sings loudly off tune in the waiting area. They also don't book you with the dentist you like , just the one that is available I paid for zoom whittling and the refuse to sell me replacement gel or order a prepaid shipment It's not a dentist problem! Mountains Edge Dental reception clerk Chastity has an attitude that lacks empathy and lacks quality customer service. She is condescending that makes you feel upset after dealing with her. On top of this receptionist clerk is an immature doctor name "Dr. Perkins ". After wasting 45 minutes of my time to tell me why I am on her schedule today and without a clue. She lacks patience for the patient and has a complete attitude because she doesn't know why I am on her schedule today.... Update: Came in to get to two cavities filled :( My go to dentist, Dr. Yanga was booked, so I was scheduled with Dr. Wong. I was nervous about seeing a new dentist, but upon meeting her, I felt more at ease. She is very personable and professional. She immediately began the procedure and I felt that she took extra care in how the fill looked cosmetically since she kept using different tools to carefully take care of my teeth. She took her time, I did not feel like she rushed the procedure at all despite there being a full waiting room. Again, I was in and out in exactly 58 minutes. I am always impressed with this place.
