Food was ok but customer service was not the best. Customer service was good when we walked in until I asked to get a different bowl because we found a hair in our food. Was asked to see the hair, I was confused by the request and then I was told they were going to ask to see if they were able to make me another one. Felt like it was a bother to ask to remake my food and to get a bag for leftovers. We tried to enjoy our meal but place was hotter than outside and just felt uncomfortable after that. A1 Grill Teriyaki & Roll is one of my FAVORITE (HEAVY on the favorite). Their sushi is always made to order their shrimp fried rice is fire. Their staff is always welcoming and suggesting menu items, the restaurant and bathrooms are always clean. First time visiting this restaurant. We stopped by the drive thru, it was very convenient and fast. The woman who took our order was patient and informative. The chicken teriyaki combination plate with the half california roll was good. The salad in the combination plate was okay, it had iceberg lettuce, cucumber and a wedge of tomato. The Crunch roll was very delicious, I was not expecting that but very happy it turned out to be delicious. Under Yelp, you have to leave a star to even leave a review. That being said, I will begin my review by stating if I was able to take that star away I would! They are not even worth one Star. I walked into the restaurant for the first time while observing the menu, I observed two female workers hanging over the food counter toward the back where the cooks are at. Both cooks were standing around and they were all just laughing having a great time and then the music started playing in the restaurant and it was the most vulgar, horrible music a family could ever want to hear. Not even a bar has that bad of music. It was rap and cussing, and just flat out disgusting music. I looked around and then I headed back towards the door, and walked out. The vegetables, consisting of broccoli, carrots, and cabbage, are steamed from fresh. That is a plus. No frozen veggies here. The chicken and beef are nicely grilled, tender, and flavorful. The pieces were chopped to bite sized so the proteins will be easy to manage. Steamed rice is a nice balanced amount so no worries regarding an outrageous carb portion size. Updated review: owner doesn't care about any comments or customers. Service improved but there portions did get smaller. Taste of food is good, but they changed the eggs rolls to the cheap kind. Still changing extra for items that should be fee. 1sauce per bowl and always half empty, .50/1.00 charge for extra. If you're spending this much money these items should be free. $55/$75 for a family of 4/5 is the same price you'd spend at chilis! Only convenience is that you can take it home and not a long wait. One order was correct And the second order was wrong I ordered the Dragon Roll and the Caterpillar Roll and you can see I got the dragon and the other is just a Cali roll and it was full of crab meat .I love avocado and it was a little disappointing that it wasn't covered of avocado like a caterpillar roll. read more

Tell me why on a 90-degree summer evening the owner is TO CHEAP TO RUN THE AIR CONDITIONER?! I looked around inside & saw the inside of the building was registering a 102 degree reading on their own thermostat! Their half-a**ed solution is running an OUTDOOR SWAMP COOLER on a haphazardly build stand to "cool" the inside down. I put "cool" in quotations because swamp coolers require a water bucket with WATER TO COOL THE AIR DOWN + A CONNECTION TO THE OUTSIDE TO CONTROL HUMIDITY. This swamp cooler had neither & as a result, the inside of the building was hotter & more humid than outside! To add insult to injury, I was told by customers and the staff that the "boss" is too cheap to run the central AC & when customers complain, she will turn it on for a while and wait for the complaining customers to leave then shut it off. Here's a bit of advice from a fellow business owner: if you're too cheap to properly take care of your customers & your dining room, SHUT IT DOWN & RUN A DRIVE-THRU ONLY! Not only was I unsatisfied with the portion sizing, but also my food was cold, I had to ask the cashier if she can reheat my food due to the fact that it was cold not a good start. They offer take out, in restaurant dining, and even have a drive through. The restaurant building is old, however, it was clean. I ordered 3 sushi rolls, which each came with soup. I also ordered a platter of shrimp fried rice. Cons: The whole platter of Shrimp fried rice had about five small shrimp. Luckily, it was only about a dollar for the Shrimp versus the plain. One of my rolls included tempura. The smell of the frying grease filled my vehicle and made me feel sick. Pros: Food is inexpensive and tasted great! Service is wonderful. Food was hot.
