EVERYONE SHOULD GO HERE! This small business is AMAZING. A++ in integrity and customer service. I went to repair a small crack on the windshield before selling my car, which otherwise was pristine. They confirmed it was a small routine job but when I got it back it looked terrible - the crack was the same but now had a big blob of resin in the middle. The whole thing was much more noticeable than before. I was so dismayed I went back and explained how I was trying to sell the car and asked if there was anything else they could do. I didn't take any "before" photos so I expected them to play hardball and send me on my way. But the manager really listened, sympathized with what I was saying, and consulted with a senior technician who said there wasn't much they could do because of how the resin had been applied (sloppily). The manager then said, if you can come back tomorrow we'll replace your entire windshield FOR FREE. Driving down the highway I heard the familiar "thunk" of a rock falling off a gravel hauler and hitting my windshield at 70mph and then came the CRRAAAACK and....my windshield was toast. I then directed my sight to A2 Auto glass who had previously repaired chips and another windshield for me in the past with great results and even better service. To do my due diligence I did call to a few spots to get a few quotes, just to make sure they were still the best rate in town. Not surprisingly, they were, by a wide margin. Dropped my car off and they gave me a loaner while they worked on my mine, which I thought was really lovely. That way I didn't have to stay there for a few hours and didn't have to spend money on a Lyft to get home. My windshield was installed beautifully in less than the two hours they promised and the experience was top notch. Well, when you buy a new car with all of the safety features, the dealer doesn't tell you that something as simple as glass replacement is an ordeal. They have to recalibrate the cameras and whatnot. Well, A2 tells me they have state of the art machines that can do this in stores quickly, so I didn't expect for there to be any headaches. So, turns out the fancy machine didn't work on my car, and I had to take it to the dealer. Something I thought would be simple and easy took several days. If you are in Ann Arbor, watch out for those trees. Seriously. Apparently, some of them are nut trees. And not only are those nuts hard, they are also high up off the ground. Now, I'm no physicist, so I can't tell you what velocity or force they may have when making impact with a car windshield. What I can tell you is that those suckers put two chips in the thing. Figuring that all car auto glass places are the same, I called the one closest to my house. Then, realizing that Yelpers may know something I don't about local businesses in Ann Arbor, I found A-2 Auto Glass. Not was this beloved shop two-thirds the price, but the technicians were able to fix the problem a day sooner. When I arrived, everyone was friendly. The waiting room was clean, comfortable, and had free wi-fi. The repair was done quickly. While I can still see the chips, this was a structural repair and not a cosmetic one. That means the chips are now filled with resin and the cracks shouldn't spread. Instead, they will serve as a reminder that the trees in this town are dangerous, and will hurt you if you give them a chance. I'm looking forward to winter so that I can return the favor. read more

I took my car in for a $60 chip repair and during the repair, they cracked my windshield. They told me a new windshield would be $445 if other parts are needed, if not, $325. They break my windshield and I have to pay...doesn't seem right. After asking if they can help out since they broke it, she told me the lowest her manager would go was $260. The lady even said to me, "If you take it somewhere else like safelite, it would be more". Ummm ma'am, your worker/company broke it. I had a pretty large chip in my windshield that I needed fixed. I initially brought my car to Safelite to get a quote, and they told me that I would have to replace the entire windshield. I noticed that A2 Auto Glass was close by, so I drove over to get a second opinion. Even though it was close to closing time, the staff was incredibly helpful, and they were able to fix the chip within about 20 minutes. Totally saved me from having to get a new windshield. I chose A2 Auto Glass based on the Yelp reviews, I admit. I had a less-than-dime-sized crack on my windshield just a few weeks after buying my car. I was hoping the fix would make the blemish go away, but it looks the same, though I have been told it is is more structurally sound. I have gotten nearly through a record-cold Michigan winter without the crack spreading. One really nice memory from my visit: I had purchased some stick-on blind spot mirrors on Amazon that I had in my car while it was getting repaired. I notice one of their specialties is repairing side view mirrors. So I asked if they could help me adhere my little blindspot mirrors to my side view mirrors. A gentleman came out from the shop and helped me position and stick them on. That was nice and went above and beyond the reason for my visit. Nice folks. So I follow the cyberqueue at AAA Michigan's Web site, and they ask me if I had a preferred glass installer in mind. I tell them A2 Auto Glass because I recall I had used them several years ago and was pleased. AAA makes the arrangements and I get a prompt callback from Amy and Lynette at A2. They ask for more info on my windshield: Do I have rain-sensitive wipers? I tell them no - I'm sure I'd have used them in the 7 years I've had the car, but I haven't, so I surely don't have them. I drop off the car for a mid-afternoon 2-hour install window. They offer me a ride home (I decline), then offer me a "beater" to drive home quickly during the window (I take the offer - a decade-old Corolla with 240k miles, still running like a dream). Upon arriving home with the beater, I get a call from Lynette - they are adamant that my car has rain-sensitive wipers, and ask me to come back to get the car for another appointment on another day. Curious, I return to A2. Lynette brings out a water spray bottle, points at a button on my wiper stalk I didn't even know was there, presses the button, then fires water out of the bottle onto my windshield, and my wipers automagically come on. I was flabbergasted! I was never really annoyed by the last-minute revelation and recall, but I happily reschedule, contrite and thankful. I dropped off the car Monday, and returned Tuesday to pick up. They did a fantastic job. Lynette and Amy were so very kind, and it was a joy to work with A2 Auto Glass. I've never thought that my first review on Yelp would be for a glass shop. I've always envisioned it to be a review on some fancy, hip restaurant. Yet A2 Auto Glass's service was so good that I am willing to offer it my first review on Yelp. It was 7pm when I found my car window broken in the parking lot of my apartment. There were many people moving in that day, and I suspect it was from some irresponsible neighbor who parked next to me and wasn't about to handle their furniture when they unloaded. I called the dealership right away but they referred me to A2 Auto Glass, saying they do a good job there. However, I had to wait till the next morning to make an appointment with them, so I shopped around other places in the mean time. The places I checked gave me quotes closer to $500 to replace one single quarter glass. It was way over the amount I was hoping to hear, so I thought I'd give A2 Auto Glass a try the next morning. Am I glad that I waited! When I talked to the them the next morning, the lady quoted $355, and even at such a price, she was still trying to find something cheaper for me in her system, although she wasn't able to find one. It was around 9am in the morning when I called and the lady told me they can order the part and have the shipment come in at 10am. When they came to my apartment to replace the glass it was around noon. It was completely hassle free on my part - they even cleaned the broken glass pieces on the ground and in my car for me. All I needed to do was to get out there to unlock the car for them, and then go out again when they were done to pay. The technicians were very friendly and gave me detailed instructions on how to care for the newly replaced glass within the first 24 hours. I had a very good experience with this shop. The staff all seem very warm and friendly, and it was clear from our interactions that they've got my best interest in mind. read more

I recently got a rock to my windshield. It hurt my heart that my truck now had a blemish to it. So, I searched and priced windshield repair and replacement. Belle Tire said they would charge $55 but also, couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't crack in the process. The price of replacement was $255. Ughh! I called the dealership and they gave me the name of the company they use; A2 Auto Glass. They told me they could do it for $50 but also had a coupon on their website. Nice!! I didn't have to wait weeks to get an appointment either!! Got in the same day, it took 15-20 minutes and they had free WiFi. You can't beat that! I asked about replacement, just in case. $235.00 AND if it breaks within a year of the repair, they credit it to the cost to replace. What?!! Holy cow! This company is tops! Customer service is amazing! The ladies in the office were a wonderful help. They fixed my windshield that day as a walk in customer, within the 2 hour time they initially promised, even though they had to get my new windshield delivered. They were also able to take care of half my $100 deductible which I can't guarantee for everyone but was a wonderful surprise since Safelite (who I saw earlier in the day) did not offer me any kind of aid with my deductible. My windshield was shattered on a Saturday night so I spent Sunday morning, prior to begging a ride to work, researching possible businesses to contact on Monday (my one day off) to get the repair done. I wanted a company that would bring the repair to my house, on Monday at no cost to me. I had pretty much settled on A2 Auto Glass from my research, but thought I would phone my insurance company first, to see what they had to say. At 10:00 a.m. the insurance adjuster suggested either A2 Auto Glass or one other company. Having already decided that A2 Auto Glass was my choice I went with them. The insurance adjuster phoned A2 Auto Glass on my behalf with my specifications. A lovely woman from A2 Auto Glass phoned me within half an hour to set up the appointment for that afternoon, apologizing that they wouldn't be able to get there until after 1:00, since the glass needed to be procured from the warehouse. Not a problem. At 2:45 a repair person from A2 Auto Glass phoned to say they were on the way and would be there within 20 minutes. Two very pleasant and professionally behaved young men arrived at 3:00 and had the repair completed by 3:30. They left me with a beautifully installed new windshield and my driveway cleaner than they had found it I highly recommend this locally owned and very well run business! read more

It was very startling when, sitting in my car at a stoplight, the little tiny stone chip crack in my windshield suddenly spread across my entire windshield. It all happened in about one second, yet somehow my eyes caught the progress. After that when I was driving on the expressway, I was half-afraid that the glass would split apart and decapitate me. :) When I brought my car in they didn't have the glass, but said they could get the glass and have it installed in a couple hours. I thought this was fairly fast, considering they had to go get the windshield from somewhere. They offered to drive me to a restaurant close by & pick me up when my car was ready. Did a great job repairing chip in my daughter's windshield. We just moved her from So Cal and wanted to make sure the chip didn't grow. The repair was undetectable which is great because it was directly in line with the drivers eyes. My only criticism is that I was told on the phone that I could come in without an appointment and then they told me they didn't have a tech available and made an appointment for the next day. Simply put: Look elsewhere for auto glass repair/replacement. The positive, I have a new windshield that is safe enough to drive with and it doesn't have a large crack in it. The negative, ugh where do I start... I still have a headache from dealing with them and it was just over a month ago I had the repair. I left my car in my driveway for an at home windshield replacement (which come to find out A2 themselves claimed they can't do as good of a job on the off site repairs- but they don't tell customers that upfront of course) I came home later that evening and noticed a new dent over the front wheel well of my car, along with urethane all over the hood and dash of my car and two broken ends of the cowl panel- from being snapped on and off carelessly. My car was NOT locked as I had requested and there were no instructions or paperwork as to what time of day they were there or how long to leave the tape on or when it's safe to wash the vehicle. I called A2 auto glass and brought the car by and they said there is no way they could have caused the dent, they've never had that happen before. I brought the car to another auto glass replacement company and a body shop for a second and third opinion- who both said its plausible this dent came from the A2 auto glass windshield replacement. The other auto glass company inspected the windshield for safety and said the right side of the urethane is sloppy and sticking out and the windshield was set lower than the previous one so that you could see a line across the top from where the previously windshield sat, so it is indeed safe- but sloppy- not really what I was going for when I wanted it replaced. Overall, A2 auto glass has been miserable to deal with, from the new dent in the side of my car, to the urethane mess they left everywhere, and the last straw was an offensive email calling me a liar about a car fax vehicle history report and previous body work. I should mention they finally offered to repair the dent but that I needed to go through their requested body shop (which, understandably, I have some trust issues with their recommendation after seeing A2's quality of work) and it would take 4+ days to repair, during which, I could not have a loaner car because they were doing this as a favor to me already.
