Had an appointment set for 4 o'clock on December 30. The appointment was for tire rotation on the four tires which I had purchased there at Bell. I had a slow leak in one of the tires, so I called that to the attention of the service writer Who was waiting on me. The rotation and the repair took a little over an hour during which I read the book I had taken with me. The. Entire experience was a pleasant one and would have been five stars, except for the length of time it took to complete the task. Funny how my front end always needs alignment whenever I buy tires, almost as if it were a profit center for the tire shop. You can make an appointment so they'll be expecting you and get your car right in upon arrival. Hahahahahahahahaha, just kidding!! It will be where you parked it for at least an hour after you leave your keys because the appointment system is not for the customer's benefit, it's so they know when to schedule lunch. (Your arrival time) You will find more "managers" up front with clean fingernails than out back working for a living. Someone has to answer the phone and laugh at the duplicated appointment times. I'm writing this as the third hour since arrival ticks by. I should have dropped it off and gone on vacation, perhaps it would be ready when I got back. 2 stars because no matter where you go, it's the same awful experience. The Belle Tire representative told me that they could take care of it and that it should take about 2 hours. I stopped back after 4 1/2 hours; my tire was not ready, but noticed that other "carry out" tires were ready (including one with a higher claim check number). They said that mine was next, and that it should take about 20 minutes. Another hour has passed, but, still, no call from Belle Tire. I have been use this store for 20 yrs, and have spent tens of thousands of dollars there. Not anymore! I scheduled an appointment to have a simple tire rotation. I arrived at requested time and was told I would be next in line, and it could take up to two hours to complete. I had the wife pick me up and went to dinner. I came back after 1 hour and 45 minutes and seen my truck had not moved from where I parked it. I was livid and took my keys and went home. I can only hope that they delete my name from there computers, because I won't be going back there. They know how to take the appointment, but not how to hold the appointment, and that is what it is the most important part. Holding the appointment. You could make a comedy of them. Really regret buying tires from Belle Tire. They looked used and were so dirty, when I asked the associate why they looked liked that, he told me it's because my tires were hard to find. If he would have told me before purchasing them, that they would look ugly and dirty and used , I wouldn't have bought them. Also,,, Belle Tire up-sells you on a warranty and free tire rotations, BUT good luck trying to get an appointment for that,,, I've been trying to get in and every time I call, they tell me they are booked three weeks in advance. Smelling rubber for 3+ hours gives me a headache. And having to pay almost $400 for tires does NOT help such a headache. Still, I'm trying not to not hold this too harshly against Belle Tire. They are a tire store, which inevitably will smell like rubber. However, if someone could invent a way to make the waiting area of a tire store NOT smell like nauseating rubber, I would give them a really fancy prize. And if some tire chain used that technology (fans? essential oils?), I might even patronize them just for that reason. Because no matter how simple you think your tire problem is -- you're probably going to have to spend at least 2 hours inhaling fumes. But, I digress. Aside from my lingering headache and lighter wallet, there were some bonuses to the Belle Tire experience. For instance, the counter help and technicians were all really friendly and helpful. Lord knows I would NOT be if I had to smell tires and help cranky people all day. The guy at the counter was very fair. It's a long story about why I had to buy a full set of tires, but I do think that his explanation/the need was legit, and he worked with me on pricing (more than I've been able to get tire guys to budge before). So, boo on: Rubber fumes, long waits (first come, first-serve) Yeah for: Friendly and patient service, trying to work out a fair/affordable solution. It all evens out to an A-OK in my book. I bought tires from this store expressly and only because the salesman told me that the store would take care of future winter/summer tire changeovers at no cost. This sounded like an excellent deal so I went with it. Months later, when it was time to mount my snow tires, the guy I talked to at customer service was incredulous, insisting the changeover would be north of $100, a ludicrous sum. He said they 'never do that' and 'never would have said that.' THEY SAID THAT. They said it to my face. Or I would have bought my tires for a better price elsewhere. Later on I talked to a friend who had been offered the same deal of free winter tire changeovers (remounting the tires on the same rims, like me!). Bottom line - these folks are dishonest. Also, the wait can be terrible. The same '90 minute' 'free' tire swap they made me pay for ended up being closer to 3 hours. Never go here. Even for something seemingly simple. read more

This is my new favorite tire store as of today. I called them up and asked if they have a specific tire in for my vehicle and the buy over the phone told me to come down as there's only one customer ahead of me. I went it, the same guy that I spoke on the phone checked my car, checked out the tires, etc., then we went back and got the paper work started... it all took less then 60 minutes to get my new tire. I arrived two hours before you closed and you couldn't be bothered with my problem and wanted me to either leave the car or go to Discount Tire, who were already closed. I asked them multiple times to please put my tires back on my car so that I could leave, they repeatedly tried to take me to the shop to "show me" what they wanted me to upgrade and replace. And even walked out to my other car where I was sitting and waiting with family. I rolled down the window and asked them to please stop trying and please put my tires back on my car. They ignored me and walked up to the car to "show me". I will never return to this location and am appalled at their repeated rudeness and ignoring of my repeated requests to please stop. I brought in an older truck last week to this location to get four new tires. On my way there I felt the tension in my brakes drop about 80% when I braked at the Michigan turnaround near the Belle Tire entrance. I asked them to check that as well seeing as how they advertise doing brakes also. I searched the website specific to that location prior to heading in and when I entered the info for my truck there was only one set of tires they listed as having in stock. They were about $75 a piece. When I got in the shop they entered the info into their computers and found that they didn't have those in stock but rather they could offer two other types of tires that were about $20-$25 more expensive. I dropped off the car and walked home as they said it would be about two hours until the truck would be ready. I got a call from them about an hour later saying they looked at the car and it had all sorts of problems with the brakes. They said I needed new drums, rotors, pads, lines, and that it was leaking fluid. I found all the parts needed hard to believe as I had a bunch of brake work done at Midas a few years ago (which was only 5000-6000 miles ago as I don't drive this truck far or often). The guy either said the total was going to be $1300 or it was going to be an additional $1300 on top of the cost of the tires. I can't remember as I was already in a state of disbelief. At any rate it didn't seem right so I told them to just do the tires and I'd worry about the brakes later. I then brought my truck to the Midas that had done the brakes prior. I didn't tell them all the things Belle Tire said I needed. I just told them about the tension issue with the brakes. They called about an hour later saying the rotors, drums, pads, etc were fine and the issue was a front brake line needing replacement, hose replacement, and refill of the brake fluid. It would cost $217 and be ready in a few hours. So long story short is Belle Tire tried ripping me off by $700-$1100 for brake parts I didn't need. Definitely won't be doing business with them again. read more

Don't come here. I am a local landscape contractor and business owner. I have come here in the past for alignments from time to time because they were the closest to our shop. Last fall I brought my ford f150 here for an alignment- I was told the ball joints were bad and needed replacement before an alignment could be done. I didn't have the energy to fight it, and gave them the go ahead- it was a $600.00 service. I asked for the old ball joints when I picked up the truck- they seemed a little reluctant but gave me the old ones. They were perfect- no ripped rubber boots, tight, and smooth. I was ripped off. A couple of months later I brought my personal car to them for an alignment after I had put lowering springs on it- a full size Chevy V8 sedan. They gave me a quote of $1300 of work needed including lower control arms, bushings, and other suspension items. I own my own shop and we do all our own repairs but don't have an alignment rack- So, we look to source that out. I denied the repair at the price. I brought the car to a local shop and asked for an alignment- $104 later it was all set up and ready to go. never any mention of anything needing replacement. How odd?!?!?!! Avoid these chain places as much as you can. Maybe tires are ok..but they are out to rob you. Go local with your repair shop. There are good, honest, respectful shops out there. I called this store today and asked if they would honor the rotation policy on my new car. The answer was NO not if you didn't purchase the tires from Belle Tire. I was shocked! I wish I had read the reviews before I came. Took 3.5 hours to get a new set of tires. Got hit with the upsell on the front pair when I only asked for the back - wish I had turned around right then. Then, as people came and went having their cars serviced before mine, they told me they couldn't do alignment until I got my rack & pinion and ball joints not serviced, but replaced. Now I got a new rack & pinion 9 months ago, so I knew it was an unnecessary repair, but just in case I took it to my regular mechanic. He confirmed what I thought. I went in to get their opinion on an issue with my 2012 Subaru. I stood at the counter alone with service people going in and out for 10 minutes without even being acknowledged. No one said "sorry sir will be right with you", or "let me wrap up this and I'll help you as soon as I can ". Nothing. There was a grand total of 2 cars in the garage and about a dozen workers. 2 managers (I assume based on different uniforms). Long and short of it is I walked out without ever being acknowledged. They don't take appointments and when I had an issue with a tire I bought there I was told it would be over a week before they would even look at it because they would be having a black Friday sale (this was on the Wed before black Fri). So even though I would have been "first" in line come Friday they were going to take the sale customers over me. I was told to just come by and drop it off. Was greeted professionally and everything outlined for me. I received a text when the service was completed.
