They left a scratch on my hood and did a lousy job of cleaning the window and left a mess all over my dashboard of whatever he scraped off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I mentioned the scratch on the hood to the installer, and he just said, was it there before[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I live on a dirt road. I wash my car by hand in my driveway. At least once a week because of all the dust, I think I would have noticed the scratch, had it, been there before the installation. Filed a claim on my son's 2020 ROUSH F150 for a windshield replacement. I advised Safelite that I needed the OEM windshield and the ROUSH banner across the top of the windshield. This was not our first time replacing the windshield on this truck so I knew my insurance will cover it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There were a few hiccups with scheduling the actual appointment.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On the day of the appointment they refused to do the ROUSH banner and said it was because if they covered up the camera, then they were liable should my son got in an accident. Seems to me since you are in the business of replacing windshields then covering the camera wouldn't be a concern. I canceled the installation and called A2 Auto Glass. They assured me they are happy to replace the windshield and can also do the ROUSH banner as well. I will only be calling A2 Auto Glass from now on. read more

I got a chip last September and it started to grow arms lol.... the crack took over my driver side of the windshield and after seven months, decided to get it replaced. I went through my insurance, so the cost was only $100 deduction. I filed the claim, got a call from their call center, scheduled an appointment. Dropped off the car, was told 2 to 2.5 hours. It actually only took an hour and 15 minutes, so that was nice. They did a great job of replacing the windshield and thus far have no issues. The only draw back was their notification system.... I dropped off the car at 9:50am for 10am appointment. I didn't stay at the shop, decided to get some coffee... at 11am, got a text message that they started work on my windshield, then at 11:15am, got a call from the tech saying it was all done and the car was ready to go. Safelite repair, Safelite replace... we've all heard it right? I ended up here for a minor windshield chip repair kind of by default. I had logged into my Progressive insurance account to try to get info on windshield claims, and several clicks later, I had been guided through submitting the claim and scheduling service with the recommended vendor (Safelite, $0 deductible/due). Couldn't really have been easier. I got confirmations and instructions from both Progressive and Safelite shortly after making the appointment, letting me know what to expect. Service was prompt and took about 30min (as expected). Decently sized waiting area with a lot of seating, free wifi, bottled water, and a coffee machine. Chip tech and front desk service were friendly. Only thing is - after the service part of the chip still looks like a little crack? I knew the "after" wasn't going to be invisible and they had sent example photos of what different types of chips/cracks look like after repair. Most of the chip looked like the after photos but a small portion still looks like a crack. I was told though that it's all set, sealed and bonded, etc, so will just take as face value for now. read more

We were driving from Michigan to Maine and suddenly found our windshield to have a 2 foot long crack. We needed to get this fixed in as short a time as possible at a facility along our path to Maine. Our insurance company, Amica, took our information on their app, then transferred us to the Safelite app on my iphone. I expected a horrer show. The Safelite app is phenominal, allowing us to check various locations and see which one had an appointment opening. Our experience at this service facility was unbelievable. Each time we entered the building someone was with us within 30 seconds to help us. They have a nice clean waiting room with padded chairs. Their bathroom is pristine with plenty of toilet paper and paper towels. I asked the man at the desk what might have caused the crack, because it seemed to have happened at night. He went out to the car and discovered that a stone must haved hit the windshield at the wiper location. He really didn't need to do that for us. We were cautioned that it would take 3 hours, but it was done in 2. We walked to a really nice restaurant for lunch. Paul, the man who fixed our windshield, came out to explain the reinstallation and answer our questions. Simply amazing! Wish I could give them zero stars! Taking your 2019 Volvo XC40 to Safelite for a windshield replacement turned into a big headache. After the replacement, I immediately noticed problems with my power steering and brakes as I was receiving warning errors. Though Safelite insisted they only worked on the windshield, they ended up giving me the car back with a check engine light after extra time spent looking at it. Things got worse when the car died the next day and needed towing to the dealership. There, the dealership discovered the computer unit needed to be replaced entirely. To top it off, Safelite refused to take any responsibility for the problems beyond the windshield replacement. read more

Mobile technicians need to either wear ear buds or pick a different genre of music to listen to. The technician had music playing from his van, fairly loud, and very explicit. If they want to listen to that type of music, that's fine, but they shouldn't be blasted it across the neighborhood. read more

Expensive, expensive expensive!!!! I was calling around to get quotes without insurance for my windshield on my 2024 Honda CRV. Unfortunately, Honda makes the most reliable cars with the worst windshields that chip extremely easily. I always replace the windshield with a generic one and not one from Honda. After that, I do not have one single windshield chip ever again. I had called Glass Doctors (Harmon Auto Glass) and Belle Tire. From both of those places I got a quote of $49.95 for a windshield chip repair. In addition to that a new windshield would be between $400 and $500 which included calibration. The chip repair at Safelite AutoGlass costs $178 and a new windshield with calibration was more than $960. Even going to the dealership directly is significantly cheaper than Safelite AutoGlass. I don't know how this company can survive on those ridiculous prices. read more

This company won't provide you the OEM windshield for the price that they quote you online. I paid $772.77, and they installed an aftermarket windshield without acknowledgment. (they did not say anything online; did not tell me while I was at their store; the guy who came and did his job did not say anything about the price I'm paying is an aftermarket windshield.) My dealership only quotes me $800 for an original windshield including the labor and tax. I called them as soon as I noticed what I got is not I'm paying for. They told me if I want an OEM windshield, I need to pay $1100. Ridiculous! My co-worker only pays $170 for his aftermarket windshield. I'm paying $772.77 for an aftermarket one? Sorry, you are not suitable for this business. At least you should tell your customers what they are paying for before you putting sh*t on your customers. read more

My windshield was shattered due to a deer running into my car. The crack covered a good half of the window. I had set an appointment with them through my insurance and my only complaint was be prepared to WAIT. Love that they do "mobile" repairs, I have had this twice at my home - once to repair a chip, and once to replace my windshield. The only complaint is that I had to take my car back in after my windshield was installed, due to wind/whistling noise. I had my car's passenger window shattered at work from a break in. Stole my wallet from an unlocked car by means of breaking a window. Crook of the year award goes to... I went to SafeLite on Monday after arranging and getting a quote online. Good price so what could be that bad? I dropped my car off before my scheduled service time and the gentleman said it would take about an hour. About 25 minutes later I get a text that it is ready so I go back, baffled at the quick service. But, they sent the text to the wrong customer and I had to watch two men behind the window chide this young man for messing up as they sat there doing nothing. After an hour my poor SUV was finally ready and I went back. All fixed, but a mixed experience. read more

Asked if he could reschedule for the next day between noon and 3. No call received. I called at 330 and they said they was a scheduling error and the system canceled my appointment. Offered to reschedule for 2 weeks from today. Said they couldn't get anyone over any sooner. Took the day 9ff from work to work with their technician.
