I highly recommend A2Z Plumbing. My shower valve froze up after years of operation with hard water. I called them to get an estimate, but they ended up replacing the shower valve the same day. I especially appreciated the respectful, courteous, and enthusiastic attitude of the installer, Mr. Taqee Zareef. He and his assistant Kevin wore shoe covers, vacuumed as they cut drywall to minimize dust, and even took some parts outside to braze to minimize odor in the house. I also appreciated that when the initial approach of replacing the cartridge did not work, they only charged slightly more to replace the whole valve even though it required a second trip to the parts store. Zach is the real deal. He knows his stuff and really values his clients. He has pride in his work, and is a true problem solver. I would trust Zach to do any work he says he can do, as he is honest and only tells you the facts. He isn't trying to snow you like some of the other plumbing companies I called. I had a prior bad experience with a "treats you like gold" plumbing company that charged me over 2000 dollars to repair a kitchen drain pipe clog under the house, then the other company had forgotten to even put nuts on the pipes to hold them together. After that nightmare, I was soo scared to call a plumber again. Well Zach restored my faith that there are still honest tradesmen out there that take pride in their work and whose word is their bond. Even though his field currently is plumbing he has a great knowledge of general mechanical physics including electricity and electronics. He didn't say that to me, but I am in those fields and can tell when I'm dealing with a competent cross discipline technician. My old water heater turned off and when I re-start the pilot light after a few seconds it started to occasionally back fire. So I called A2Z for repairs. They sent a guy who just looked at it and without checking anything told me that it can't be fixed. He said that I would need to replace it with a new one which would cost over $2000. I told him that he didn't even see if the burner etc. could be replaced. I told him I'll think about it and he left. Then right away I get a call from A2Z saying you need to buy a new one from us for something like $2030 or pay $90 dollars for inspection. I don't mind paying for inspection but the guy didn't even look and turned on the heater to find what's wrong and if it could be repaired and right off the bat wanted me to get a new water heater. Please don't waste your time and money with A2Z they are trying to make you buy their appliance and services not help you. Their price for installing a new heater is not even compatible with other places. I paid $90 for someone who just wanted to sell his heater and not even look at my problem. What a clever scheme!
