I hired mvp plumbing in Covina to check out a clogged sink in my restroom after they snaked my sink they offered to run a camera to check my drain sewer line. they found a cracked picked just outside my house underneath the grass. they went outside to located the exact location of the cracked sewer line and told me they need to dig. they tried to start digging immediately and I asked them how much is this job gonna be to dig and fix the cracked pipe. I asked to give me a quote before they proceeded. Manny the supervisor said we have to dig first which I found strange because they already found the location and knew it was a crack pipe. But he wanted to rush to digging before talking numbers. After they quick dug to the pipe I asked manny how much and he said it was gonna be $5,500 to cut And replace that portion of the pipe. That is extremely expensive compared to other plumbing companies and he said that's the best price he can do. This is only the start of this nightmare salesman. Manny than proceed to tell me that he recommended me "epoxy lining" inside my old pipes since they already dug a hole in the front yard. He sated it's cheaper than replacing my pipes. I asked him for a quote and he said since it is a big job the best he can do was $34,000 to epoxy line my sewer lines inside my house to the front yard. I live in a small starter home. So $34,000 is an insane price. Long story short he said that's the best price he can do and he doesn't work for free and his company has to make a profit. after negotiating he kept saying I can bring down the price because he will get in trouble and he has to run it by the boss. We'll negotiations went from $34,000 to 29,000 down to 24,000 down to 21,000 and after negotiating for a little bit longer I got it down to $18,000. Manny said that's the best he can do and that the boss was mad at him for giving me this price. All sales tactics. $18,000 is still extremely expensive for the size of my house to descale my pipes and line the inside with expoxy. I called other plumbing companies and they offered $9-$12,000 quote for this same job. Manny specifically is a Shady salesman look to empty your pockets and upsell you. Do not hire MVP plumbing they will over charge you for services. read more

These guys work with Ziprent which is my current propery manager. My tenant had a leak in thr garbage disposal and needed a replacement. I already called in advance to confirm whether the initial exam visit fee ($125) would be addition to what's the estimate would be and how much. They said in the phone that they won't charge an additional $125. In the end, they send me 2 separate invoices of the first exam visit and the entire amount. I contacted them to ask the reason and got told that they had to go back the second time to do the work and denied what they told me over the phone. Why being dishonest? I'm suggesting Ziprent to remove this contractor out of their suggested service. read more

I don't usually write reviews but Manny Gonzalez(G-Boogie) was AWESOME!!! He explain to me everything step-by-step about what was going on with my pipes and also let me review the camera. Upon calling MVP they promise me someone would come out at 2pm but ask if available can someone come earlier which I agreed. Then came the man(Manny), he was very professional and did I also say AWESOME. Also, the whole team was great. So I've now used MVP Plumbing on three separate occasions for three separate issues- one with a toilet, one with a sink, and one which required replacing all of my piping from the street to under the house. Juaquin and his team have been absolutely phenomenal at diagnosing the problems as well as the repairs. The first two issues were resolved within the hour. The team member sent out was thorough and explained the issue well both times. The third job was a LOT larger and required tearing up concrete as well as the lawn. The group of guys that came to work on the issue were absolutely wonderful. The best part was that I felt completely at ease leaving my mom and grandma at home while they worked. I've had a few experiences with some abrasive workers, so I'm usually a bit defensive, but everyone on the job was incredibly courteous and helpful, especially when my mom began asking random questions about what they were working on. Overall, I am incredibly grateful to Juaquin for the work he's done, and I will gladly continue to support his small business. read more

Manuel Gonzalez and his team were absolutely phenomenal. The scope of the work initially was to replace an old concrete sink and galvanized pipes in the garage. After a thorough check of my house Manuel immediately notice that I also had a leak in my main bathroom sewage line and cracked clay pipes in my main sewer line going out to the street that also need attention. After taking photos and showing the problem with detail scope of work and cost I told him to proceed. Initially, I was skeptical because as the old adage goes, you will always find something if you are looking, and so I decided to inspect what I expected and sure enough I had to get that fixed immediately or else I would have had some serious foundation problems over time. Manuel and his team started promptly at 8 am Monday morning and completed the job by Tuesday afternoon. Furthermore, Manuel called the next day just to make sure that everything was working properly. I asked for approximately how long it would take for water to be restored and got the biggest attitude and angry response from the worker. if he has this severe anger issues I can only imagine how unstable he is. So there I am, sitting in my kitchen with my wife and all the sudden I hear dripping underneath the sink. Being the wonderful husband I am I decided to see what I can do to try to fix it and quickly recognized that was outside of my ability to get it done. Water was dripping and an increasingly quick rate and I had a concern that the line would break. I called 6 plumbers in approximately 20 minutes and spoke to Laura over at MVP. She was awesome!! Laura quickly assess the problem and dispatched Mike and Roman. After 15 minutes of evaluation they gave me a price that was extremely fair and immediately went into action to complete the repair. I'm so glad I didn't touch this, because I would have really screwed it up. not only did they work on it quickly, they arrived in less than 25 minutes to my house at 930 at night! I highly recommend these guys. They're caring, intelligent, and clearly find quick solutions to problems... We really like Joaquin. His prices are reasonable, he's on time, he's professional and friendly, and his work is high quality.

I called MVP Plumbing after my daughter used a different plumber, who ended up not working out. I got a hold of Joaquin and he said he could send a crew out right away or he, himself, could be out first thing in the morning. I chose to wait till the morning because I knew from past experience that he was the go to guy. Joaquin came out and discovered my problem was more complicated than in the past. My house is about 65 years old with all the original plumbing. Joaquin used his pipe locator to find my underground line and explained to me the problem and what needed to be done. He was out at 7:00 am the next day and went to work. We soon discovered after digging that the roots from my almond tree had damaged the clay pipe. Joaquin and his apprentice were able to reroute the pipe, put in a new 4" clean out and got everything draining just like new. Now thanks to MVP Plumbing I should be good for years to come.
