I went here to renew my license and upgrade it to a REAL ID. The two staff members who helped me were friendly, professional, and efficient. Much better than going to the RMV! Closer to my house, too. Remember to review the list of docs you will need before you go. If you don't bring the necessary paperwork, the staff can't help you - they are not allowed to make exceptions to the law. So carefully read the information provided by the RMV before you go and you shouldn't have any problems. read more

Came here to renew my driver's license and it was a breeze. I was in and out with minimal wait and the staff was very pleasant and professional. They did try to sell me a credit card which I don't love but other than that, it's a much better experience than having to wait forever at the RMV. read more

I went to AAA Acton to get currency exchange - simply changing $100 USD for Canadian. Was told I needed to pay upfront, it would take 3-5 days, and they would notify me when it was ready. Tomorrow will be five days, I had planned my week around picking it up then, since it's a 40 minute drive each way to/from their office. As today was the "4th day" (day before "5 days") and I still have not been notified, I tried calling several different "AAA Acton" numbers only to get lengthy robo-recordings of irrelevant info. Eventually I was able to leave a message early afternoon, but still have not been called back. Finally late afternoon of 4th day, I did another search online, only to find their AAA Acton office website indicating that it will be closed tomorrow! I was provided NO Notification about when my Canadian $$ would finally be ready, though clearly it's going to be more than the 5 days initially promised, numerous efforts on my part to find out whether it would be ready tomorrow, and NO RESPONSE from them. read more

My car had to be towed from Acton Gas to Nissan dealer North Chelmsford. Google map = 10 miles... on the phone with AAA = 11 miles. Protect towing arrived. Said they use miles calculated by AAA map - showed me = 14 miles. Seriously. I called AAA refused to help or reevaluate the situation. What so you do when u are in this situation. No one gives but I had to pay $55. Should have only paid for 7 miles. Is this the service I get from my membership. DON'T USE AAA !!! read more

I went today to get my REAL ID. Angela was very helpful. I was missing one document and she gave me advice on what to do and how to obtain said document. When I returned she assisted me right away. Once I was all checked in there was a wait for the actual transaction but the office has good protocols set up for social s distancing and they are diligent with sanitizing after each customer. I would recommend this AAA office and add that if you aren't a AAA member, you ought to be!! read more

Went into this AAA office to transfer my insurance from California to Massachusetts with low expectations because of the ratings on yelps app. The agents name is Carlos and he had the most pleasant attitude along with everyone else that we encounter during our visit. I most always choose the locations I go to by the ratings the business has but this AAA office is too close to my home to not use so I took a chance on a two and a half star rating. I was not expecting such good service and polite people because of the comments made for the ratings. My conclusion is that there's to many people with the hooray for me and the heck with everyone else attitude. I will recommend the AAA office to everyone. I would recommend that if you're car is unreliable and you use your allotted road side services for the year get a new car instead of complaining about AAA. read more

I have AAA premier, and with 4 service calls this year, I am not qualified to get free service anymore . However, on 2 calls in Framingham, the one affiliated garage, Henry's towing refused to come out. Does that count as a legitimate call? I called the Acton , MA branch because that's where I live, and I was redirected to 1-800- AAA- Help, and I had a very frustrating, time wasting time with some sone insufferable reps. With 3 calls, they never even gave me a chance to explain anything. I just called AAA a 3rd time, I asked if they can hear me , they said yes, so I can began to explain why I was calling, and the "CUSTOMER SERVICE REPPRESENTATIVE "interrupted me and said how may I assist ? and I started to speak and she hung up on me. This is 3rd time I got hung up on in one hour at the beginning of the call for no reason. I need a battery, and because of your nasty people on the front lines, I may never get one or explain why. I just got my real ID about a month ago. It never came to my house so today I went to see if there was anything they could do. I was met with rudeness and insincerity. I pay extra for this thing. You think they could get it right. I asked if I could get a temporary license and they said it would be $25. Ridiculous. read more

All in all the services and options provided by AAA is very good = UNFORTUNATELY the Customer Service at this location is POOR at best. I've been here a few times for various services and get the same lack luster, almost put off attitude and demeanor. It seems to be across the board with the associates there. This location is very convenient and easy to get in and out of so for me this very disappointing. read more

I recently signed up for AAA in part for the convenience of not having to go to the RMV. Upon, working with a couple employees such as Van Koo and Alice Chisholm was a good experience. Unfortunately the other employee Maureen Baker who I had to work with was absolutely awful. I was treated poorly, given attitude, and had to deal with the constant huffing and puffing because "she clearly did not want to be there". I work in the retail environment in management and I nor my employees would continue to be employed there with how poor the customer service is at this location. And then the camera system went down and I was unable to take the eye test. So they had to send me to a new location. Only at this point did Maureen become friendly - which correlated with the fact that all five people waiting for license renewal were told to try another location or come back another day. Makes me wonder why I would sign up for AAA when I would get better service at the RMV. read more

I booked an appointment with Rachel tunnicliffe, a travel agent end of January beginning of February, for march 3rd. me and 4 friends arrive, i personally drove an hour my other friends took the day off work to be here and book plane tickets to Florida, our appointment was at 3pm i get an email at 2:30 canceling our appointment! this is disappointing canceling just 30 minutes prior to our appointment, never mind the pay that my friends lost for this day. Do better triple AAA! the other staff here laughed when i told them i had an appointment with Rachel and that it had been cancelled 30 minutes prior. i'm assuming from there reaction this is a reoccurring issue. i was told i could do an online meeting, but if i came and booked to be in person i'd like to speak with some one in person! if i wanted to do a zoom call i would have stayed home and done that and my friends would still keep there work day. absolutely ridiculous will not be back to this branch. read more

Horrible rude service. I didn't get her name but she's probably already been referenced here. Came in to ask questions about an upcoming trip to Japan. She sighed, looked at the clock (it's 10:15. They close at 1) and said "this man is with her now and they're going to be awhile and there's another couple before you so...". My wife needed to obtain one of the new MA licenses and was told she didn't have proper info. We went home and returned about 35 minutes later. Again my wife was told she needed some different paperwork. We left and returned again about 35-40 minutes later. The AAA clerk refused my wife saying there was not enough time to process her request. They were closing in 30 minutes and 3 people were ahead of her. I went in to argue and the clerk told me she was going to call the cops on me. Then a different clerk screamed hoarsely at me to GET OUT!!!! I think she had a nervous breakdown before me. We got the license the next day at the DMV in Lowell. Took about 10 minutes. Don't ever go to the Acton AAA. They are inconsiderate, nasty, and quite disturbed. read more

A woman dressed in a mustard skirt, black turtle neck and white puffy vest was not wearing a name tag and had no identification. I believe in a private conversation she referred to herself as Maureen. She was rude, impatient, and unprofessional. She rejected several forms of verification because she was too impatient to flip a page even though they were the same forms that were accepted by the RMV when I bought my car and transferred the title. She even rejected the title of the vehicle that stated my name, address, vehicle description, and was sent by MassDOT, because it "wasn't on the list." Well you rejected two pieces of verification that were on the list, so maybe take two seconds to look at a piece of paper and care about your job. The assistant manager was behind her having a conversation with her about something non work related. I legitimately received better treatment and service from the ACTUAL RMV. Never going here again. AAA services might be a valuable service to have access to on the road, but for the love of God, don't bother coming in here. After giving me nothing but attitude from the moment I walked up, she then had the nerve to say "I'm just trying to help you." Useless. read more

If you are trying to get a real license, bring the papers that are listed on the form as acceptable forms of I.D. (such as your real birth certificate)and other forms of I.D. such as a copy of your birth certificate. I know it makes no sense. Sometimes the AAA Acton office will except what is on the list and sometimes they won't. Depends on their mood and the alignment of the planets. Or just go to the RMV. So we called AAA membership line asking them for the pricing of Six Flag tickets, they gave us a price and we got to the Acton location to buy the tickets the price difference was $6-$7 per ticket. It is a significant amount if you are buying 8 tickets. Because it was my brother in law who called AAA, I called him to confirm if the price AAA Acton is quoting is correct. The lady at the counter was very rude and visibly upset about us confirming the price. She rolled her eyes several times when i was on the counter calling my BIL to confirm (no one was there and we were not holding line). Even when she was printing the tickets, she was rolling her eyes and complaining to her co worked. Very bad attitude and demeanor, I am not sure what could be wrong in serving ppl and answering their question if you are sitting at the customer service desk. BTW, we called AAA again and they confirmed that they got confused and gave us price for canobie lake park tickets instead when we called a day before. I will never use this location again, I don't know if this is normal their or its because of the color of my skin. read more

I have used the travel services of AAA in Acton and in particular, Teresa Dole several times and have been exceptionally pleased each time - she is creative, listens to my needs, has a lovely manner (and sense of humor), and comes up with good travel plans. I have been here several times - passport photo and application, order euros and international driving permit. They have always treated me graciously, very efficient and informative. Only had to wait in line once and they were apologetic about that - nice as it really was out of their control. I am happy they are nearby for all my travel needs! read more

Do not do any Registry associated claims in the Acton mass facility .they are useless and you will be wasting your time .was there for 2.5 hours on line .two people got sick of waiting and left. a senior made some negative comments about the waiting and was told to go to lowel if he want to, very incompetent people not knowing how to use the Registry software .after 2.5 hours of waiting on line .their excuse was the system is down at the RVM registry and had to stop serving people. any idiot knows that the online registry is available 24/7 and does not shutdown. a customer kept on telling the lady that the registry profile on the screen was not hers. her answer was ohh!!! we need to change it. bottom line is she had not clue and possibly messed up a couple of peoples profiles within the applications on line. stay away .plus after this experience I have decided to not renew my AAA membership. of $180 a year. after been a member for 10 years . read more
