Technician gave misdiagnosis for fridge repair. Tech did not perform any work, just looked at the fridge and said to buy a new part, but since that part didn't exist, they recommended buying a new fridge. The misdiagnosis would have cost us thousands to purchase a new fridge. The fridge started working a week later. We didn't need that part, nor did we need a new fridge. We asked for our money back due to this, and Cate agreed to the refund. Earlier in the conversation she said response time was delayed due to a medical issue. Knowing this, the second attempt I made sure to give her plenty of time to figure it out. I gave her 1.5 months to respond. Dryer belt broke on our Electrolux Dryer. Appliance under extended warranty program with Electrolux. Contacted Electrolux and they scheduled call with AAA. Got an email from AAA confirming appointment and that the repair would be covered by the program. Cisco (our technician) arrived on time. Cisco was very polite and friendly. Steve was here this morning and called ahead to lmk his estimated time of arrival. He is a very polite man who thoroughly explained everything he did and his recommendation going forward. The staff when scheduling appt was efficient and accommodating. However, the Day b4 appt I received texts with "appt window" which was different than I agreed to so I did have to alter my work schedule & find a sub in order to be home at the new time slot. Called this company out because you call an Specislist when you require a repair. The tech came out, charged us $460.00 for a part and labor. Told us to run Refresh through the washing machine. Had he looked a step further he would have seen the actual problem and known the drum was completely corroded. The machine needed to be completely replaced. I called the office several times. Sent several emails. The ladies name is Jennifer. She was extremely rude. She stated the manager would call back. She never did. She also stated she needed to talk to the tech but he was in the hospital so she would get back to me. She never did. On top of a $460 bill I needed to purchase a brand new washing machine! I called AAA to get a quote for our oven that wasn't heating up and they told me it would cost $180 to come out and check our oven. They said that fee would go toward any repair we made, which seemed pretty standard. When someone came out, he knew immediately what was wrong, and quoted me $435 for the repair. $75 for parts and $360 for labor. I asked him why not $180 like I was quoted and his explanation honestly made no sense, but I felt like I was stuck. He fixed it in under half an hour and it cost $435. The technician came and complained about parking in the city. Then proceeded, without opening anything, to quote for 450 dollars to "drain" the washer. Made the mistake of calling this company to repair an over-the-range microwave. I specifically gave them the model number and described the problem. They charged me $150.00 to come out and tell me what I already knew, but they didn't have the part to fix it. They quoted me another $136 to come out and fix it, but when the guy arrived, the part he had STILL didn't work. Two weeks later, they were supposed to come out and admitted they could not get the part. When I asked them to refund the $150 that I had spent so far for absolutely no results, they said no, that was a diagnostic fee (which, again, wasn't needed, I TOLD them what the problem was.) Then after all of that, they suggested I go to another dealer that specifically handled that product... except after calling them, they don't (At least they were merely rude on the phone, they didn't charge me any money to be rude on the phone, which is okay.) read more

Then they gave me $25 credit for service, still charged a $100 and have same issue water not draining properly. 1 year old dual front and small top load Samung Washer. We called AAA to fix our refrigerator. We told the technician that the ice maker was leaking or something to do with the water valve there. He told us yes we either need to get a new part for the ice maker or water valve. Do yourself a favor and don't use these guys. They over-promise and under deliver. Why? 1. Both times we've used them they had few parts in stock and trying to schedule a time to get a technician back was hell. Even with a "fancy" call center service. 2. Both times we never got a picture of the technician that would be coming out like we were supposed to. 3. Both times they were late. 4. One visit was under my home warranty and the technician's explanation made warranty coverage unavailable, even after I received approval from a supervisor at the warranty company to proceed with the repair. 5. Had to wait two weeks for service call, but Terry came and figured out the problem very quickly. Plus, he is extremely personable! He called back in about a day and a half with the cost of the part and was happy to advise on fixing vs. replacing the dishwasher (Miele 2008). So the repair is not yet done, as we are waiting for part to come in, but so far, so good. I'm using AAA for the second time in the past six months. First it was my dishwasher and now the ice maker. Great job on the dishwasher but it was expensive. I expect they will do a similar great job on my ice maker. The technicians are very cordial and respectful of my home and the email with the tech's photo is a nice safety feature. My only complaint is the six hour window for waiting on the appointment. That's worst than the cable companies and if I found a dependable competitor with better scheduling, I would likely take my business there. It's fine when they come at the front end of the window, not so much when it's at the end. The appointment email says a four hour window but the phone call you get from the office clearly says six hours so I was warned in advance. read more
