I called on a Saturday around noon to ask if I can do a walk in for a smog. They close at 2 pm on Saturdays and the gentleman who answered states they can take walk ins and there currently wasn't a long wait. So I headed over there about 30 minutes after the call. Parking space here is limited, so be prepared for that. When I got here, there were 2 customers ahead of me, one finishing up a smog check and another just had his car towed here for repairs. I was helped within 20 minutes after arriving and was here a total of about 40 minutes total for smog. Again, great and quick service. The waiting room isn't too bad. They have a huge tv you can watch as you wait, magazines and a few chairs you can rest at. There's also a huge window where you can see into the bay. There's also masullo pizza next door if you want to eat while you wait, but the technician might be done with your car before the food arrives. Pricing is average for getting car smogged, and they do take credit card. I'll continue to go here in the future.

When they were finished with the car, I went up to pay, which was the first time they mentioned they did not have the bulbs and could not change my headlights. Since that was the entire reason I brought the car in, it very much felt like they took advantage of the opportunity to make some money rather than be honest about what they could do for me. They've worked on my 2017 Ford Transit Connect, 2014 Mercedes GL63, and 2014 BMW X5. They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. What stood out to me most was how knowledgeable, honest, and fair Samson and his team were throughout the process. The staff are friendly, the front desk is welcoming, and the customer service has been great. It's hard to find a shop that does quality work at reasonable prices, but 916 Auto Repair has done that for me. Definitely recommended.

My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! Have fun out there & do your research!

He inspected them and showed me how each one was clean, dry, and completely fine. He then inspected the rest of the engine compartment and the undercarriage and showed me that it was all in great shape. Finally, he noticed that a previous mechanic had removed the plastic shroud for my front wheel wells and failed to install new clips to secure the shroud afterward. I had wondered about the gap he noticed for years, but I didn't realize it was anything other than wear and tear. He replaced the clips for no extra charge. I know it seems like a small thing, but to me, it speaks clearly to Roland's character: I believe he genuinely cares about doing right by his customers and taking good care of their cars. When I asked him about some issues with electronic parts on my car (e.g. a digital dashboard display), he let me know that his area of focus was mechanical service and advised me to take my car to an electrical auto shop. I was grateful that he knew the limits of his expertise, communicated them clearly, and stuck to them. I felt his quoted price was quite reasonable, and even after he performed more work than requested (still within about a 1-hour time slot), he stuck to his original price quote. I am very happy with the service he provided and the price I paid! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Rolland came to my house and went straight to working on the fuse box without having made sure the…read morehigh voltage system of my Prius C was disconnected. Major red flag #1. He spent 40 minutes prying at different parts and trying to forcefully remove my fuse box to get to the 100A fusible link that I had to tell him was located beneath and the assembly had to be unbolted to get to it from underneath. After 40 minutes of painfully watching him attempt to force things open. I politely asked him to stop as it was obvious he didn't know what he was doing and broke a few components off my housing. I tried calling him to let him know of the damages. He denied responsibility and said he was only at my house for 5 minutes. He told me to never contact him again and failed to respond to the before and after photos I sent. Do not trust this shady business. What went from a lb easy replacement of a 100A that I could have done myself but did not have the time to do so, resulted in several hundred dollars of parts in addition to more for labor due to gross incompetence. DO NOT TRUST HIM!

I had to swap out the circuit board in my truck instrument cluster,after I did this it would turn over but not start ? So called REPAIR SMITH and they set me up at HI TECH AUTO CARE . So Thursday morning I had AAA tow it to they're shop on Power In Rd. I called and talked to JASON the manager explained what was going with my truck he said NO PROBLEM we will check it out for you!!! I already knew what needed to be done but they have the right tools ,all they had to do was reset the computer because it was reading the new board wrong. I called Friday at 11:00a.m. and checked on things JASON say's they haven't gotten to it and doesn't know if they'll get to it today (Friday) . I was a little irritated but had No Choice but to say ok !!! So here were are on SATURDAY almost 11:00a.m. I HAD MY ROOMM CALL, JASON because I was to flipping mad HE GIVES HER THE SAME FUCKING ANSWER. It's DAY #3 and I am Pissed if I was told in the beginning it might be a few day's until they could TAKE A look at I would of made other plans . Instead it's 3 day's later and I have to call AAA again ,I WALK INTO THE OFFICE at HI TECH AUTO CARE theirs a guy at the desk on the phone (JASON)He DOES NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE I AM THERE . SO I PACE AROUND THE WAITING ROOM UNTIL I've had enough,I walk to the back where my truck was parked waiting for my tow I walked back to the office to get my key I met a couple mechanics on the way they're and told them I need my key because the Asshole up front is to damn rude and occupied to get it for me ! All the time I was on that property JASON did not say a word to me. "Isn't " that his DAMN JOB!!!!!!! I took my truck here to get smogged since they had a great price/coupon in the Pennysaver. Staff was friendly and helpful and I was out of there in about a half hour. My only complaint is that the waiting room leaves plenty to be desired. Pretty barren with no windows. There was no reading material in the waiting room besides a bunch of foreign newspapers (Fujian?). An old copy of Motortrend, Car and Driver, nor The Sac Bee was anywhere to be found. Even an old $20 antenna TV would be nice! Maybe I'll drop by a bunch of old magazines next time I drive by. read more

I went to Hi Tech because I was referred to go talk to Ali from a friend. My car failed smog else where. Ali was very nice and professional. He explained I needed a diagnostic for them to find out why my car failed smog. Hi tech diagnosed an fixed my car in a timely manor. I liked the fact they gave me recommendations on additional services I needed. Ali explained to me and he was honest some of the additional work I did not need to pass smog since he knew my main concern was to pass smog with a limited budget. we were very happy with the service we received. I've had my truck in there a few times always kept informed during the process has always been done on time was even given a loaner car to drive when needed. highly recommend it's nice to have a shop that you can trust. Yes they were a little expensive but they use quality parts. They back the repairs. You can always get repairs perform cheaper but in my experience, you get what you pay for just like any other business they need to make money too. Very happy customer read more

"You will probably qualify," the AAA mechanic told me. This all went down on a Friday afternoon. AAA had no problem holding the car over the weekend so I could arrange another tow to the dealership on Monday. There's no doubt their written assessment of the car's engine seizure and printout of the warranty extension, which I presented to the dealership, helped make my successful case for a warranty repair. And through it all, AAA Elk Grove Bruceville Auto Center was professional, good-humored, and communicated clearly. Highest recommendation.

They quoted me for two new rear tires, which I agreed to, and it took a few days since the tires had to be ordered. When I picked up my car, I immediately got a warning that the rear passenger tire was low. I assumed it might just need time to recalibrate, but after driving only about 5 miles home, I checked and it was at 14.9 PSI. Since they were closed, I added air myself. By the next morning, the tire had dropped again, clearly a slow leak. When I called, Jerry told me I must have run over a nail. I explained that the tire was already low when I left their shop. After pushing the issue, they agreed to replace the tire--but refused to reimburse me for a rental car, even though this was caused by their mistake. Fast forward to now--I went to America's Tire to check my front tires, and they told me the rear passenger tire is a different tire than the others. I never authorized mismatched tires, especially after paying for two new ones. This whole experience has been frustrating and disappointing. Between the initial issue, lack of accountability, and now discovering mismatched tires, I have no trust in their work. Buyer beware--this shop does not stand behind what they do.
