When I'm purchased my AAA membership it was to specifically cover my cargo van. The agent received the vehicle information and assured me it would be covered. I even added extended serves to ensure I would be tolled if more than 100 miles. Now I have a roadside emergency and they are refusing to help me because my van is not covered?!? What ??? Are you kidding me! I've had this cover for over a year with the false security that my vehicle was covered. This is a scam! And I will be reporting them to the Better Business and California Consumers Affairs Department. And I will also be posting on line so that they don't scam other van owners!!! I've had my membership at this AAA location for maybe 15 years. I have been a member for almost 30 years overall. They have my insurance and they are also our travel agents. In addition I do all my DMV work here. The employees are all friendly and know their jobs. As I make my payments in person monthly some of the employees know me by name. Their insurance is more costly than the cheapo companies, but when you have a claim there are no surprises or bad news. read more

I do miss the push button "Select a Map" dispenser that was available at many AAA offices. The office representative was very helpful but I would have taken up less of her time if I could have picked out my own maps. Anyway, I needed a map(s) showing the Burbank and Glendale areas of the LA Basin. The one map that I did receive did have a portion of Glendale, but not Burbank. AAA of Southern Califoria used to publish a map of the Los Angeles Basin which was quite useful in finding out where cities were located in the area. Perhaps it is not published anymore. I had a very good visit today and that isn't usually the norm. As I walked in this morning, I found myself in line behind 5 guys and two at the counter and I thought, "Ah man!" But as I looked the men in front of me they looked "normal" and then I thought, "Maybe these guys will have their crap together and the line will go fast." It appeared that everyone had a DMV transaction including myself and I was pleasantly surprised everyone in front of me were prepared, organized and none of them had any drama about why can't they get their car registered. I myself was in and out in less than about 5 minutes and I went in to pay my insurance AND register a boat....Oh BTW...does anyone wanna buy a boat? The gals working the counter were very nice and efficient but I think the gal that helped me last month was a bit friendlier. AAA misleading office hours for DMV. Didn't even know that DMV side closed at 5:30PM, although the hours for AAA stated 6PM. AAA need to add the DMV hours on Mapquest to ensure others not to do the same mistake as me. I came their 2 minutes after DMV closed at 5:30PM. I had a bad customer service the last time I visited the Lodi branch, so I decided try the Elk Grove location instead. I'm glad I did, the line was long but moved quickly and the lady who helped me (Tammy) was very friendly and waived the fee for my tags that I had never received in the mail. When I went to the Lodi location to do this exact transaction the lady there gave me an attitude along with telling me she would charge for this service. I was on the verge of cancelling my membership due to the Lodi persons negativity. Maybe she was having a bad day I am not sure but I was told by DMV that I could go to AAA and there would be no charge and this proves to be true , at least at the Elk Grove location. I would consider giving this AAA location 4 stars, because all of my in-person and email interactions with agent Theresa Tumakay have been positive and helpful. She responds in a timely manner, and has helped me with my auto and home insurance multiple times. But I've lowered my rating to 3 stars, because of agent Kimberly Sulli. I emailed Kimberly on February 6, 2019, because she is the person who inspects infant car seats to ensure it's been installed correctly. In the email, I told her that I would like her to inspect both my and my husband's cars for correct installation. I asked her to tell me which days and time slots she's available. I was hoping for her to do her inspection before my baby was born. She replied to my email on February 12th, and only gave me one date and one time slot of availability. I replied on that same day, and told her that day and time doesn't work for my and husband's schedule. Next, I told her which days and work best for us. She never responded to my email. 3-22-2019 UPDATE Yesterday morning my parents went to this AAA location to take care of their car registration. Very quick and easy process for them. While they were there, they spoke with agent Kimberly Sulli directly and notified her that she never responded to my car seat inspection request. She told my parents that she will email me or I can email her (which I already did, so now she needs to do her job and reply). I still haven't received any contact from her. She also told my parents that I can come by next Wednesday at 10 AM. Again, that time and date doesn't work for my husband and me. Why is her availability so limited? I needed to use AAA services so I checked the website for COVID restrictions/instructions. The website gave an option to set up an appt which is convenient however when I arrived, my perception changed. #1 you wait in a line outside before getting to a person who helps you #2 the line is not shaded when it's 100+ out that is not healthy #3 once you get through the first line you are only sent to a second inside line, where you wait.. what is the purpose of an appointment?? As a customer it gave me a false sense that I would be seen at the time of my appt but reality is I was not seen until 30-40 mins. This is not related to the branch but to the membership services. Requested a tow for my vehicle at 9 am and was informed that it would be a 120 min wait for a tow which was at 11 am. My request was to tow my vehicle 2.1 miles to a body shop because it was involved in a accident. Received no updates for over an hour and called back at the time I was supposed to expect a tow truck and was then informed it was another 120 min from 11 am (when I was supposed to expect a tow). I was so frustrated with the supervisor on the phone, all set kept telling me was to tow it myself and request a "Reconsideration reimbursement"! She was not helpful or able to allow my husband to be the person authorized there at the time of the tow because I had an appt to attend at 12 pm. Which is crazy because I was told by the first representative that they can authorize my husband to be present at the time of the tow if I had to leave. I was forced to take the vehicle myself to the body shop as NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP! This is NOT the first time I had issues with requesting a tow. When my vehicle was first involved in an accident, no one was able to get a tow to my location for over 3.5 hours on May 16. I was also forced to take my car home myself. I am very disappointed in the services I have received recently with representatives on the phone and your timely manner on requesting a tow. I have been a dedicated member for nearly 20 years. And this is by far the worst of my experience. I also pay for the top Premier member ship $120 annually with your company. How do you pay for a service you cannot even utilize? I am deeply reconsidering my membership elsewhere at the time of renewal in July 2022! read more

In and out in less than 5 minutes! I needed to renew my car registration and qualified to do so online. When I went to do it, it wouldn't let me and told me to call DMV. I didn't feel like waiting on hold for almost two hours. I remembered that with having AAA, they handled some things related to DMV. I stopped by this location yesterday and it was super busy but, I received help very quickly. Something I didn't know was that you get your tags right then and there. Yes!!!! AAA is a good company when they take your premium but when it comes to claim settlement they are the worst had 2 claims previously auto claim offered 50/50 at fault without even coming out to access damages only by photos and property was worst water damage and without testing where the source was exactly coming from stating it is wear and tear but nothing was done out of neglect to cause this customer service with the claim agents was horrible each time I would highly not recommend AAA to anyone unless you want a company that puts themselves first before their customers. Property claims settlement was made based on wear and tear and expect my disabled sister who is on SSI at $780 mo to pay for a tear down and pay for a plumber out of pocket when she's paying property insurance premiums. After getting my car insurance quote online I decided to go to this branch on Tuesday morning around 10am. It was the closest one to me. Came in and signed in. Took a seat. Noticed it was pretty busy. Waited 10 minutes and got called up by George. He was very friendly and got me exactly what I needed and wanted. Got in and left feeling great. George is a good worker that likes to put a smile on people's faces. I was able to insure my vehicle with no issues. One small issue I had about the place was that the person at the entrance could easliy become busy and unintentionally ignore people coming in. This was my first time coming into a AAA branch. I was a little confused on what to do but I assumed I needed to wait to sign in. So having a sign that helps guide us would be great or just have a another worker greet us. It'll make this spot more friendly to new visitors. read more

Had a poor experience with an incompetent agent in this AAA branch. Agent said that I can order specialty plates on DMV website and send it to AAA. Well I came back and explained I did not see an option to send plates to AAA, and if she can help me. She basically said she doesn't know how, and that other member were able to do it; sorry. What kind of a response was that? Maybe try asking your supervisor or another agent? Completely useless and a waste of my time. One star rating directly to that agent. I got a flat last night so I called in a tow truck request. Was told it'd probably take about 90 min. Waited for 3 hours for them to call me and tell me the wouldn't have an ETA for another hour. I just canceled the request bC at that point it was 9 pm, i was an hour away from home and i had been driving for 6 hrs before the flat. I called in the service request an hour before I left the house to meet them at my car which was stuck about 1 hr away. So by the time I got to the car I had been waiting 2 hours. When I got there I grabbed some dinner and waited in my car. 3 hours and many calls without so much as an an estimate for when a driver MIGHT be available later, I said fuck it and canceled the request again and just called a local company who will be here in 15 min. Why am I paying for roadside assistance if I can't even get roadside assistance? read more

Needed passport photos and found out AAA does them. Went in on a Saturday and expected to wait forever. Instead, the person that greeted us took us right off to the side, took our pictures and immediately called someone over just to verify the photos met the passport requirements. They put the pictures in a nice little folder and informed us there was no charge for AAA members! (Minimal charge for non-members). Wasn't expecting that. The post office was going to charge $15 each just for pictures. Highly recommend to anyone needing this service. We were in and out in minutes. read more

If I could give AAA Roadside service I would give them no stars. I got a blow out on highway 99 by elk grove and waited nearly 3 hours for someone. Everything is computer operated. It took them nearly 2 hours to find someone but did not dispatch him. How many members does 3A have and at what cost and what do they pay there service men. I should have changed the tire myself if I would have known it would take this long. But it got dark and I was on the freeway. Do yourself a favor change your own tire. I'm still waiting! read more

Worst AAA branch I have ever been too. Was in line for a title transfer and said they couldn't complete for me but every other branch has done for me. The supervisor was very rude towards and talking down on me. When I returned with the "proper" paperwork she told me I had to wait back in line even though she let another woman skip that had a problem previously. One of their drivers in a long yellow flat bed almost ran me off the road. I attempted to change lanes and he pulled in front of me and slammed on his brakes and flashed his bed lights at me. I moved to the next lane and the he did the same thing. He swerved in front of me slamming his brakes an flashing the lights. I finally made it to the diamond lane and as I passed him he flipped me off. This happened on 02/20/2019 at 9:08PM while it was raining. The numbers on the side of his truck were CA180882. I might be wrong because it was at night and it was raining. As soon as we passed him while (he was flipping me off) he then exited Florin Dr very quickly. I'm hoping the driver can be identified and fired. He was a younger Hispanic man with black hair and a black jacket. I had my family in the car and actually feared for our safety. It's unfortunate to have someone like this driving for a company that has dedicated years to serving with excellence. I take this very seriously and I believe AAA should as well. read more

Impressed by their efficiency. Maybe it's a fluke, but the line moved very quickly thanks to some prep. Walked in and the line was long. It was a Friday morning, so it's unusual (for me) to see a line period. People were piling up behind me and a few workers saw that and began asking who was there for payment, needing assistance with products, etc. Just like that, the line dwindled to 2 people including myself. A minute later, it was my turn. Unusual to see that here. Reminds me of the grocery store opening cashiers if they have over 3 guests waiting. Obviously, the plan works.
