I was in the area and figured I'd pay for my tags while they were still opened. Location was easy to find and there was a lot of parking spots. I mentioned to the check-in I didn't have my vehicle registration with me, but I had a picture of it. They informed me that I needed a physical copy, and asked if I had any old copies in my car. They accepted my old copy to turn into the DMV and I got my tags. They still prefer cash or check to pay for your tags. They charge 3% for credit cards usage to pay for tags. They also had promotions to get some merchandise and were willing to stay and explain to me which each one was. I didn't want to keep them because it was almost closing, but the rep who was helping me said he will stay as long as needed to answer any questions I may have. I had a very nice experience at this location. This is also not my home branch. I was in and out within 15 minutes. read more

Back in the day when my '66 Mustang was my daily driver, I relied on Auto Club for towing. However, they offer several other useful services as well that make things more convenient. I've been to this location a few times in the past. My most recent visit was for a passport photo. I arrived a few minutes before they opened. The gentleman that opened the doors greeted us all with a warm welcome saying, "Good morning. Come in. We're happy to see you." Wow! What a wonderful way to start a day. The lady at check-in was also very friendly. I told her what I was there for and she said, "Have a seat and someone will call you shortly." Jessica assisted me with my passport photo and was also nice. After snapping a few pics, she said she'd print them out and would be right back. While waiting I could hear other staff members assisting clients. All the interactions were sincere and friendly. It's obvious they enjoy their job and working in this office. Jessica returned shortly after and handed me my photos, which cost $5.51. Cheaper than anywhere else. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I never saw an employee smile in this branch. I don't think they are happy working there. I had my passport photo taken. I requested a form to renew my passport. It wasn't that hard to do it. It will just take a few seconds to get it. I was also charged $11.05 for the photo even as a premier member. I waited in line to talk to the receptionist and showed her my receipt. The receipt showed Classic member. Was it done intentionally to charge me the fee? BTW I am a premier member so no charge for that. read more

I have dealt with this AAA for a multitude of transactions instead of dealing with the DMV. Every time I have come to this location for anything DMV related, my time in and out has been nothing longer than 30 minutes (This includes registration renewal, Fastrak, Auto title transfers). Burbank is the biggest location and Pasadena is the other neighboring location (Small but also quick) If you want a Fastrak, I recommend purchasing it from AAA as you do get a $8 bonus credit. read more

I went here for the first time today expecting some help with letting the DMV know about my car and title that was destroyed in the Eaton fire. What I got instead was an employee who was so rude and condescending it took my breath away. She actually laughed at my questions and made me feel stupid for not knowing how to report a burnt up car. She basically tossed a form at me and told me to call my insurance company. I ended up going to the Pasadena DMV where there was a wait, but I got a help from an employee who was lovely and polite, and quickly helped me resolve the issue. I just applied for a new membership and got a paper card with a misspelled name. I called it in to correct it but first call a lady answered and i nicely explained the problem and boom, hanged up on me. But i kept my cool so i called again. Guy answered and said let me transfer you to that department. And that department was their message system repeatedly saying for this and that press this and that. WTH! If you don't mind waiting for 45 minutes to pay for your registration, this is a good place to go. However, I don't have that much time to wait around knowing some service members were walking around and not helping. The young man and an elderly woman from 2 of the 8 stations, on my right as you walk in, were working hard to get the long line going. I asked one of the service personnel if they could bring more workers to help, but she bluntly said, "No!" If there are a lot of people waiting, at least what they can do is to get more service members to work. Yes it can get busy during peak hours but the majority of the time the wait is minimal at that. We always renew our registration here because it ALWAYS beats going to the DMV. From the time you check in to the time you check out, has always been no more than 20 minutes. The staff are ALWAYS FRIENDLY and welcoming. I swear it's like visiting family when we come here. The travel agents on site are always helpful and you never feel rushed, they really take the time to plan your trips here. Visited the auto club office in Glendale to pay my car registration as it was due to expire in a few weeks. It was a Saturday and trying to go during the week to either the DMV or even AAA is impossible due to my work hours. I had a smooth a transaction as possible and I highly recommend it. I was in and out of there in about 20-25 mins. It would have been quicker except I had several questions on member benefits that I did not know the auto club provided. The lady that assisted me with all of that was so helpful. I walked in and saw the receptionist's table. I told the gentleman that I was there to pay for my car registration renewal. He asked for my AAA card and my form of payment (cash or check). I had read Yelp reviews prior to going to the auto club so I was grateful to learn that I needed to bring my checkbook. Personally, I dont mind writing checks. I am pretty old school so the thought of endorsing a check isnt appalling to me as it may be to some people these days. The receptionist asked me to have a seat in the waiting area and told me my name would be called in 20-25 mins. No problem I thought. Beats the struggle at the DMV any day... I was called in about 10 mins. Lynda was the auto club agent that helped me. She called me from the waiting area and directed me to window 3. I cannot stress how nice, helpful and informative she was to me. She not only processed the payment on my registration renewal quickly. But she also told me information on member benefits such as discounted movie tickets & theme park passes, toll road transponders, AAA (car, auto & renters) insurance as well as travel agent services which was Lynda's specialty. She was friendly, helpful and just so pleasant to deal with. I was grateful for her time and the knowledge. I had no idea all the member benefits I had not taken advantage of to this point. Go to the auto club. It's so much easier to deal with than the dreaded DMV. Go see Lynda or any of their other staff members. Do NOT go here for a notary. Instead, keep on driving right down the street to The UPS Store. The UPS Store does the notary for the SAME price as AAA and there is no appointment needed. I am extremely disappointed in this AAA experience. I live close to the UPS Store and knew they offered notary services, but I opted to drive the longer route to AAA because I expected a better experience. NOT THE CASE. At AAA I was met by a gatekeeper employee who was manually opening and closing the electric doors each time he tried to talk to me. There were no other AAA members or employees around, not a single other patron in sight. He asked what I was there for and I explained I needed notary service. I had the form printed and ready to go in-hand. He closed the doors behind him, asked me to wait 10 feet from the door, and came back with a clipboard. He told me I needed to make an appointment for a notary. I haven't needed a notary in the past, I had no idea what to expect, but figured this was a simple form that needs 1 signature - that they would validate my ID, make sure it was me, and we'd all be on our way (note: it REALLY was that nice and easy at The UPS Store). This AAA employee didn't give me any information for how long the appointment windows were, WHAT THEY WERE FOR, or why I would need to book a future appointment for someone to look at my ID. I explained I was new to notaries and asked him these questions. He barely gave a response each time. He would say "It depends... on the form and how many signatures... and they've got to put paperwork together and verify everything..." Mind you, I had already explained, holding form in-hand, that it needed just one signature. It was like pulling teeth just to get a response for what this service was and WHY it would require a 30-35 minute appointment window that I would have to come back for. By the end, he defaulted to an even more generic response of "It's just Covid, man..." This may have been understandable if they were busy and there were lines of people needing service. Again, there was not a single other patron in sight. I asked how much the notary was going to cost and he said it was $10 for members and $15 for non-members. With a $5 savings for being a member, I figured I'd take my chances anywhere else. I drove right to the UPS Store, walked in, and asked for a notary. IMMEDIATELY, they were able to help and I was done with the entire process - paid ($15), signed, verified, fingerprinted - all within 2-5 minutes. It really was as easy of a service as I had initially expected. No hassle, no appointment, no ambigious answers necessary. It took me longer to stand in AAA's parking lot talking in circles with a AAA employee who acted like I was bothering him than it took to complete the entire notary process at The UPS Store. DO NOT GO TO THIS AAA FOR A NOTARY SERVICE. It is not worth your time. Go to The UPS Store instead and save your AAA membership for the roads. read more

As an auto service club, AAA is awesome! As an auto insurance provider, AAA is very good! Very pricey though. As a travel agency for Hawaii trips, they are the best (they work with Pleasant Holidays which specializes in Hawaii). For international trips I've never used them so sorry, I haven't had any bad experience regarding that. As a resource for domestic trips, they are the best! When I started going to San Francisco by myself, I get my maps here at AAA. I go to this one in particular coz it's near our office. All maps for any city in the US is free with your membership. So on this particular trip, I got maps for Chicago. And then the lady goes "do you want the guidebook too?" Me: "Is it free?" Lady: "Yes" Me: "Yes, please! Yey!!!!!" A free guidebook! How cool is that? Also, FYI, when I went to Tuscany, I got my Rick Steve's books here for 20% less than the tag price. VERY COOL! read more

The Auto Club in Glendale stands on East Broadway as a beacon of customer service. Yes, in this crazy world and in the environment in which we live: this Auto Club unit has never failed me in regards to getting what i need quickly whether that be an auto reg (as in today) or an insurance quote or to plan an auto tour of California. Today there were about 12 people waiting ahead of me for a renewal of our car registration. The Dude in charge quickly opened up 2 more stations to assist those of us waiting. What might have taken a 1/2 hour took only 10 minutes. On top of that the pleasant, personable clerk (sorry, i did not get her name) was efficient and handled the paperwork very rapidly always smiling and engaging in the chit chat. Think how many times you have been in a long line at the Supermarket and neither manager or assistant manager opens another check out line. This is my point exactly. I also received a detailed list of what i will need to obtain one of those infernal Super ID/Drivers Licenses that everyone is in a tizzy about. What bothers me is that i read online and heard on TV that the Fed is not verifying the Cali REAL ID's for one reason or another (google it). So i'm thinking" for what do i need this extra piece of ID? I have an up-to-date Passport: will that not work? I digress. To the point: they have super service in this unit. It's too bad you cannot renew your driver's license..or Real ID here. read more

I'm here because AAA has made it virtually impossible to reach anyone for the purpose placing a formal complaint. This Auto insurance is disgusting and everyone should stay away from their policies. My mother (a spanish speaking person) was involved in a single vehicle accident where her truck for an unknown reason lost control at one of the front wheels and resulted in spinning out and ultimately rolling over. 1. Our Claim was filed. 2. The claims manager has not contacted my mother for any questions regarding the accident. BUT initiated a 51% at fault notification letter noting that investigation outlines that a person shall not drive a vehicle upon a roadway at a speed greater that is reasonable or prudent having due regard for visibility , traffic and potential hazards on the roadway. 3. No one has bothered even requesting the Highway Patrolman report to reference it for their "investigation". So Point number 2 is completely irrelevant as she was driving 30 MPH nearly 20 miles below the speed limit as the road was wavy, that speed is perfectly safe and within reason. There are witness statements that can attest to this. the Highway patrolman stated himself that he can tell from the tire marks that she was driving well with a reasonable speed. 4. When my mother contacted the claim manager (Romeo Hernandez) at the Los Angeles AAA center, he was very abrupt, dismissive, belittling, and just plain rude. Offering absolutely no information about the claim or it's findings. And stating that "due to the simple fact that she was driving and it's a single vehicle accident, she is automatically at fault regardless of what took place" when my mother pointed out that there was a tractor trailer with a blown tire right where her accident took place that maybe just maybe there was something on the road he simply said " you need to pay attention to the road for hazards, you're are fault regardless" 5. My sister called Romeo Hernadez and asked for an explanation of the findings, and he explained the best he could but actually created more confusion. He stated the letter is automated by AAA and sent to everyone (which he could have explained that to my mother alos but chose not to. He also said the findings may be different after further investigation.... "well maybe yes maybe no, who knows..?.." is what he said. WHEN MY SISTER REQUESTED THAT FORMS AND DOCUMENTS BE SENT IN SPANISH FROM HERE ON OUT, HE SAID THAT THIS AN ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRY AND AAA ONLY DEALS IN ENGLISH!. 6. If my mother is being viewed as being 51% at fault, then who is responsible for the other 49%? It's very confusing. Claim #014242875 NEED ATTENTION from anyone who cares at AAA. This claim is being grossly mishandled and based on Romeo Hernandez comments I feel that mother is being taken advance of due to her being a Spanish speaking person. read more
