I had to rent a car since my car was going into the shop. The Enterprise selected was on Glendale Blvd which was new to me since I was only aware of the one on Brand. I was met with great customer service. It was a Monday and you know it was going to be busy, busy, but Isabelle who assisted me had pep in her step, she was knowledgeable, efficient but most of all, so kind and helpful. She not only answered my questions, set me up quickly but when I needed some additional assistance, she made sure I was well taken care of. And the sedan I got was clean and ready to drive off the lot for the week. My return was just as efficient. Quick and easy and then I waied for my ride back to the auto body shop. There was only Isabelle and Bellagio but these two did not miss a beat. I never felt forgotten or dismissed despite how busy they were. They were sensitive to our needs to get going so was on it. Great teaming. Good customer service. An operation with great people is a beauty to behold when you are in Operations and customer service. Of course, it is never a great thing to have to take the car to the shop, so everything and every experience that can help to make the situation better is so greatly appreciated. Had a bad experience with this place. Was lied to and overcharged which seems like a common theme judging by the other reviews. I first called to make a reservation, I spoke with Natalie. I told her that my car was going to be at the body shop for 4-7 days and I wanted to rent a car for 4 days and if I needed it longer then I would pay for the additional days. She told me it would be best if I just get 7 days and if I return it sooner then I would be reimbursed for bringing the car back early. It sounded good so that's what I did. I went to pickup the rental on a Tuesday with my neighbor Ed (who paid for the rental) Before signing anything I triple checked (I spoke with another person on the phone before picking up the car) with the gentleman helping me if I would get reimbursed if I bring back the car early and he confirmed I would. So we paid and I took the rental. I get notified from the body shop that my car is ready on Saturday so when I go to drop off the rental they are closed. I didn't realize that they close early on the weekends and I don't fault them for this at all, it was my fault and I should have checked. I was told by customer support previously that I can drop off the car at any location and I noticed that the Brand Blvd. location is open till 2pm on Sundays, so I dropped off the rental at that location Sunday morning. Since I brought it back 1 day early, I expected to be reimbursed for the 1 day that I didn't use it. The agent helping me told me something about it being a fixed cost and I told him that 3 people told me that I would be reimbursed for bringing it back early or else I would just rent the car for 4 days. He said that he would leave the account open and have the manager call me sometime that week. I couple days go by and I don't hear from anyone. I try calling him several times that week. A few times I was told he wasnt available but usually I couldn't even get a live person to speak with after going through their phone menu and holding upwards of 20 minutes. Later that same week my neighbor told me that they had already charged his credit card for the full amount. So they lied about the reimbursement & they lied about the manager contacting me. They just went ahead and charged the full amount. I understand that it's not a huge amount of money for bringing the rental back 1 day early but it's the fact that they didn't honor our deal and lied to me. I will NEVER use Enterprise ever again! read more

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had with any rental car company. I was charged $422.21 for a rental that was confirmed at $345.02 at both booking and pickup. The vehicle was returned on time, fully fueled, and in perfect condition, and I was told there would be no additional charges. Despite this, I was overcharged by $77.19. When I contacted the branch manager, he admitted it was an Enterprise error caused by a system glitch and promised a refund. A refund briefly appeared as "pending" but was never completed. I followed up more than a dozen times and was repeatedly promised callbacks that never happened. Corporate also told me twice they would open a case and have the local branch contact me -- that never happened either. Even after providing proof and being told directly that I was overcharged, Enterprise later told my credit card company that I was not -- completely contradicting what they had already admitted. Enterprise used to be my go-to rental car company for both business and personal needs because they were reliable and hassle-free. They blew it. This experience destroyed my trust in their billing practices and customer service. If this happened to me, how many thousands of other customers has it happened to? This is the Enterprise Rent-A-Car on Glendale Blvd., as opposed to the one on Brand Blvd., just 0.8 miles away. It's important to note this delineation, as they are the same chain in the same city and yet are completely different experiences. I first went to this one because it's a bit closer, and requested a "luxury car" such as an audi or a bmw, using the Costco Rental Car discount. when i arrived, i wasn't seen for a few minutes, and then was shown to the lot and told that there were no cars of my class available and would i want something else. i pointed to an audi and said how about that one? ane he said that was for sale. i pointed to another one and he said that it had been smoked in but i could rent it. i declined because i don't prefer cars that have been smoked in as a non-smoker myself. he then suggested a mercedes SUV and said it was actually in a nicer class than what i had requested but would give me for the same price, for which i was initially hesitant as i had wanted a smaller sedan that could fit into my snug one-car garage, but i took it. he looked on his ipad and gave me a price that was higher than what the Costco price was and when i asked about it, he said that it was due to the higher tax associated with the vehicle since it was a higher class. i countered that i was only taking that because the car i had requested was unavailable but he said there was nothing i could do. so i signed and attempted to take off. problematically, as this was a newer mercedes suv which i had never driven, i had no idea how to move my seat and even get into gear for a while, as it has an unfamiliar gear shifting system, and for some reason, even for a "luxury" car, did not have power seats and it took me a while to find the lever for me to manually move my seat close enough to be able to drive. nobody seemed concerned that i was sitting there, motionless, and occasionally getting out of the car to look for a way to shift my seat, and at some point even walked toward the office to ask for help, but then saw a group go ahead of me and realized it would take too long. eventually i left. A day or so before i was scheduled to return the car, i started to get automated texts that my return time was actually two hours sooner than i had requested, and i had the option to "extend" my rental time. i called to question/contest the return time and cited my reservation which accurately listed the time i had in mind, and the representative said that there was a default 24 hour span and the last rep must not have adjusted it to be what i actually requested, but that he'd allow me to return it at my requested time without a charge. which was nice, but it's an error that shouldn't have happened in the first place. when the time came to return the car, i pulled into the lot where i saw a sign that said something like "return cars here" and then waited patiently for someone to take the car, which i thought would be like a valet system in which someone would greet me, but after several minutes, no one came, and i realized that i was blocking the one entry, so i went and lamely parked before wandering back to the office to complete the closeout. Now, for a quick contrast, the things that did not occur here that would happen about a week later at the Brand site: i did not get a call prior to confirm that i'd be coming in so that they could secure the car i wanted. i was not told what grade of gas was appropriate for the car. there was not enough signage to direct the closeout process. there was no courtesy shuttle service offered. i did not even know that the above experiences were issues until i was offered these very services at the Brand location. Great staff, very helpful! A towing company damaged my car and they agreed to fix it so I needed to rent a car in August. The tow company had worked with an Enterprise location in Whittier to cover rentals at their shop rate but I needed to rent at a Glendale location where the tow company did not have a relationship with Enterprise. Assisted Manager Jenaro De Los Santos did a great job working with the tow company over the phone to arrange the shop rate and made the process very easy and got me into a decent Nissan very quickly! read more

Im Persian Armenian so obviously I can only rent a Benz, Bmw or An Audi. The *appearance* of customer care, but no customer care. My accident was not my fault. I went to Enterprise who I've rented from for 20 years. I even bought a car from them. They told me they would put a $300 hold on my card. Instead, they charged my debit card daily. It took 12 days to get the adjuster to approve the repair then finish it. Enterprise charged my card daily "If it's credit we hold $300, if it's debit we charge it daily. I'm sorry if no one disclosed that to you." WHAT KIND OF BUSINESS DOES THAT??? I now have zero money for Christmas for my kids. But that's not even the worst part. Monday, December 9, the rental got a flat tire. No spare in the car. I called their roadside assistance, and they said they would send a tow truck. 3 hours and 4 phone calls later, they finally did. No one took my calls urgently. They were all reading from the same script "I'm sorry that happened to you." Then when the tow truck driver I called for at 2:08 arrived at 5 pm, he loaded my car onto a flatbed, drove away and left me there. I called Enterprise and again with the "I'm sorry that happened to you." Now I have no money and I didn't even cause the accident. They could have done something to help me and they did nothing, not even a sincere apology. They wouldn't even take responsibility, saying "We contract out those services." I am sure their CEO is enjoying his fat Christmas bonus while I have nothing. This company will never get my business again ever and I will tell this story on social media, to my students, and to every person I meet until I die. Oh, and I'm not going to do nothing. This is the second time ever renting a car due to an car accident. Went in and got my reservation taken care of the 1st day. The next day the rental car broken down and turned off in the middle of traffic 4pm on the 405 while my wife was using the rental. Accidents happen and cars break down, it's a car after all. Call 1800 number and was taken care of with an Uber and the vehicle was towed. I wanted to thank adan for going above and beyond and making sure we were taking care of even though it was after hours. Enterprise, in general, is my Go-To rental car company preference. I'm a Plus Member and all that jazz. So, as you can imagine, I rent from them quite a bit. I was NOT happy with my last rental experience and that was because of a lot of what Enterprise had said that they were going to do, before my rental pick up date, but did not. I understand that the car rental companies and the entire rental industry has been disturbed, to say the least, because of Covid-19. My rental was in early June. I'd made the reservation for a mini van a bit in advanced and received an email just after having made my reservation that not only confirmed my reservation and rate but it also let me know that should I not be able to pick up the requested rental from this Glendale Avenue location that I'd be notified prior. That did NOT happen. I re-read the email after becoming furious because the brand was not open and nobody had emailed me. It did say that they were going to contact me, not that I needed to contact them. I did not receive a call, message, email or any sort of notification. I went to the rental location on time. I had all my information and. credit card ready. It took me a while to find parking but I did. And when I got to the door, it was locked. I couldn't quite see into the branch because the windows were tinted. I was SO upset. I didn't know where to go or what to do. I walked around the entire perimeter of the building. I finally noticed a sign that said that their branch was closed and that I'd have to go and pick up my rental from another branch. It gave me the address to go to but not any instructions on what to say to this next branch, if m reservation confirmation code would be still valid, if the rate would be honored, especially if it were less than what the next branch were. charging, etc. I called Enterprise once I'd arrived at the closed branch and was on hold. After a few minutes of jumping through the automated hoops and being on hold for a while, I was hung up on without having spoken to a single live person. I was more than pissed at this point. With also a mad hubby in the car, because now we were also running behind schedule, we drove to the other location. We were looked at funny, not treated real nicely, weren't given a proper walk around the vehicle. The person who "helped" us couldn't tell me much about the vehicle: how many gallons of gas he tank might hold, how to work some of the interior controls, etc. That wasn't good. They didn't seem concerned at all about the small areas of damage throughout the vehicle. I understand that their idea of "damage" is something that is lengthier than a dollar bill and has at least a certain depth. That's great and all but as a renter, I wanted to make my concerns known and it be documented on the walk around because I surely did not want to be responsible for something that was not my own doing. I dealt with a lot of run around and I was not happy with the lack of high quality service that I'd become so used to receiving from them usually. I know I'll rent with Enterprise again but I also now know that I will have to do a lot more leg work on my own, unfortunately. The experience with this location on Glendale Ave was terrible, mostly because their company failed to provide my important information that directly affected my rental situation and rate. I have nothing but great things about this enterprise location! My car was being being fixed for many months and I was given voucher for this location by my dealer. I went through 2 different cars during my time using enterprise and everyone was so kind and helpful. I wanted to highlight all these individuals at this location- Jenaro De Los Santos, Ryan, Zach ,Cindy, Cristian, Ian, and Cristina- apologies if I missed anyone else! I had to keep renewing my rental because I wasn't sure when I was going to get my car back from the dealer. Every time I called, I was greeted with kindness and were very understanding of the situation. Same when I had to go inside the office, I was immediately greeted and said they'd get to me shortly. Misleading information. We needed a big suv car to go to Seattle, wa to drop it there. They recommended Cadillac Escalade. We said ok and did our reservation week prior our traveling. We came 2 days before to confirm and they said car will be there everything is ok. The day our move we came to location and found out that they dropped our reservation without informing us. They said it's exotic car and you have to pay $500 drop fee if you take it to other state. We lost a hour figuring out and they were calling & calling different people. They ended up giving us Chevy suburban which was ok. But guy said car doesn't have a gas and somebody went fill quarter a tank for us. He came back and parked car outside. We asked him to fold the seats and we went home because we were already late and had to evacuate our apartment. Our home is in 10 minutes from their location and then we noticed gas wasn't quarter a tank it was much less. We were in rush and didn't checked it. Ended up sending them message and call no response. Really rude. Needless to mention last time when we rented car at same location their computers were frozen and they delayed us too. It always something happens at this location. Really unprofessional we came to check twice. We showed up to confirm our car rental and they by themselves recommended us Cadillac Escalade and ended up telling us that we can't take it without paying $500 fee. read more

GREAT experience at Enterprise! My car was in the shop so I had to rent one for a couple of weeks. Cost was mostly covered by my car insurance but I wanted a better car - so I paid for the difference. Which was understandable of course. I have worked in customer service so I know the difference between good and great service. And I was pleasantly surprised to see how professional everyone I dealt with was. At both locations. S.Glendale and Brand. And on the phone as well. I was even impressed by their level of professionalism. I could tell they all had had great training. I first rented from Enterprise in the early 80's. They have come a long way since then. Their business is huge now. But I also remember the good experience I had had with them -- some forty years ago. When we arrived they mention that they can not help us and the female manager also responded rudely a hard NO. She was completely unprofessional and unhelpful with our situation. Conveniently located close to where i am and i was able to get reservations for after my insurance covered portion ran out. They have good weekly rates but reserve online as they sometimes run out of cars for rentals as happened when i returned the car and there were more people renting than they had cars. read more

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING ENTERPRISE, especially this location. 1) charged me for "damages" that were present at the time of rental, which their employee told me were not meeting requirements for documenting on the agreement (car diagram). 2) I complained at the time, and filed a dispute. Nevertheless, they place a $500 charge on my account. 3) I contacted the dispute resolution office. Individual I spoke with was pleasant enough and explained the process. The charge would not be processed since I filed a DISPUTE, AND the issue would be investigated including a call from the branch manager to discuss the issue. 4) NO SUCH CALL RECEIVED. 5) Enterprise processed the charge w/o following through on their own process. I have rented cars from Enterprise previously, mostly for business travel and have never had a problem. In fact they don't even check cars in other locations. It pains me to write this after Enterprise, in my experience, was consistently the most respectful, helpful, and friendly car rental company out there. After my daughter visited an LA area ER with an allergy and a high temp, we decided to cut our trip short and make our way back to the Bay Area via car. I rented a van in downtown, but noticed that the Dodge Grand Caravan I had was not handling well in the pouring rain, and spun its front tires a few times under acceleration. Not to mention, its wipers were bad which I changed out at a Target. With my kids in tow, I wasn't gonna drive this thing back in the rain and snow (Tejon Pass). I made my way to this Enterprise location and explained my situation. The blonde that "helped" me was not helpful at all. I needed another make of minivan or an SUV for my family. I asked questions and each time I was given very short answers. Then silence. From an Enterprise employee, I would have expected her to say something along the lines of "I'm so sorry to hear this sir, let me see what we can do to help you and your family." I even asked if they had available cars at the other Glendale location. She actually told me that "I had to call the location to check." I walked out with the feeling that no one in there wanted to help me. I used to work at a Sports Authority (RIP) in footwear. If a customer asked me if another location had a certain shoe size that we didn't have, guess what? We were trained to go the extra mile and call the other store ourselves. And this is for a $75 pair of shoes. I was asking to swap out my unsafe vehicle. Come on. See my other Enterprise reviews. But long story short, I had to close out this contract and start a new one. A simple $275 rental turned out to be $600 over two contracts. No Bueno, Enterprise. Yes, social media manager, an email will be sent to care@enterprise.com. My insurance company arranged for my rental with Enterprise while my car was being repaired. I went to Enterprise on Glendale Blvd in Glendale. They upgraded me at no additional charge because they didn't have in stock the car I was supposed to have rented. I did call other Enterprises and they didn't offer this. So I was relieved when they offered the upgrade. The 2022 Toyota Rava, was in excellent condition. The staff who I had the pleasure of dealing with were Harrison, Cindy and Will, they were professional and friendly. They let me wait inside for my Uber even tho it was almost closing time.
