Don't ever break down with a pet! AAA is ridiculous. It's 93 degrees outside and our vehicle broke down. We were on our way to an adoption event with a rescue puppy. The operator told us it's up to the driver to allow us with a dog. After that, we find out the operator dispatched service in the wrong city after we gave a specific address. So it tacked on an additional hour in this heat at a sketchy park in Pomona. How in the heck are you going to provide half a service? I own dogs as well. Why would I want to continue service with you if they policy is in place? If there's no way around dealing with the contractors, then AAA needs to provide either reimbursement for a ride share/taxi or specifically find someone who will allow someone with pets. I called AAA. My car wouldn't start without me pressing the gas peddle. Asked the operator to check my Nissan battery before I take it to a shop to check the starter. He told me I needed a new battery. I told him that I had a warranty for my new Nissan battery. I only drive 1,500 miles a year! I walk a lot. He told me the warranty was probably no good. He put a used battery in my car and charged me $222.00! I remember wiping off the battery, it had so much dirt on it! Two days later my car had the same problem! I know AAA carry used batteries. I came across this location through Yelp. I was happy to see it was less than a 10 minute drive from my house. I didn't receive my registration in the mail because I had moved. Based on my internet research it said they would accept my old registration- thank goodness! My Experience: - They are located in an outdoor plaza - I was able to get parking right in front of their office - As soon as I entered, I was greeted by a lady who asked for my first name so she could check me in on her tablet - She then told me to stand on the circle up front to wait to be helped - Within a couple minutes, my name was called and a representative was there to assist me with my transaction - They practice social distancing and have circles where you are allowed to stand - There was a clear barrier between the worker and myself - She asked for my membership card and she was able to immediately help me to renew my registration and update my home address I was anticipating it to be a much longer wait time. I was happy I was in and out of their office in about 10 minutes! I will definitely be going back to this location. read more

Needed a tow last year on a summer eve. Was told a few hours...OK 2 hours later I call back and told another 90 minutes. Waited the 90 minutes and called again and told no ETA. Got the number for the tow company and arranges 1st thing next morning. Of course tow company late then. AAA went to low bidder it seems for the absolute worse service ever. Very irritated with my experience at this location. Went in at 9:10 am to check in with one person ahead of me in line. Nina P decided to help another lady who came in about 10 mins after me with the notarization. When I mentioned it to her, she completely ignores my comment and then after thumb printing, she pretended to forget to give me a tissue to wipe my thumb while I held it in front of her for 5 mins - so I had to ask for it. She was confused about how to notarize an oath of office so I had to give her instructions. Didn't leave until about 10:00 am when I anticipated no more than 15 mins, half hour most, for this service. Her customer service is awful. read more

I've been a AAA member since before I was born and since becoming a licensed driver at 17, I use AAA for anything to save me a trip to the DMV... Usually I stick to the Glendora office bc of the horrid issues at this location and I was right... Went twice last week to get my truck registered in CA after moving back from Nevada and I was treated so horribly and the 4 women I've dealt with in that location were the most rude people ever. When you hit a roadblock they get uber rude and don't apologize for the inconvenience they just expect you to run off and deal with it since it's not their issue to help you even tho ITS THEIR DAMN JOB. Fucking lazy, rude bitches. I wish I had gotten their names, so I could put them all on blast bc with their attitude. they shouldn't be working in customer service. It was 2 older ladies, 1 blonde, 1 brunette, and 2 younger snotty girls, 1 blonde and the other brunette with glasses. 4 of the rudest employees in there. My husband and I have been AAA members for more than 20 years. We usually go to the office in Glendora. We recently went to the La Verne office and was treated extremely Rude by Jackie Mathews. Her attitude towards us was very unprofessional and when we asked questions she looked at us like we were stupid. I've been in Customer Service for over 18 years and I could never mistreat a customer no matter how silly the question may be. We ended up needing more documents to renew our tags so we came back a few days later and got her again. Then again of course we were treated Rudely. Seems her attitude got even worse when she saw us back again. I wanted to ask her what her problems was and if she doesn't like working with people then maybe she should seek a job that doesn't deal with the public. I again said there's an exception. She replied they do renewals over there. She didn't want to listen. And to top it off the except credit cards only if the credit card matches the name on the registration. And there's a 2.3% transaction fee to use a credit card.
