AAA is generally a really awesome company to deal with but not this location. The agent who wrote my policy is awful at returning calls and making good on his promises. Super happy. I walked through the door at 5:00 (closing time) and was treated with as much courtesy as if I hadn't just walked through doors that should have probably been locked - they even waiting until I was checked in and sitting down before they went and locked the door. Both the person who checked me in and who helped me with the paperwork smiled and were super friendly. I got my missing registration and tag in 5 minutes. So convenient!! read more

Hands down the rudest AAA in my experience. made several trips and each one was a disaster. can't understand why anyone would go here. Rude staff. Poor knowledge about current California car registration rules. Poor knowledge about the inner workings of their own company. a disaster. save yourself the headache and go to the DMV or another location. wrote a formal letter complaining and got a delayed response from the manager almost a week later - stating my complain went to her junk mail (sadly symbolic) asking me to call to discuss the matter further. I tried calling this branch before just walking in and it seemed impossible trying to get a hold of an actual person! The automated services offered did not answer the one simple question I had...I was put on hold for an unacceptable amount of time not too long after opening in the middle of the week...So, do you need an appointment to take passport photos? Never in my life have we been treated so badly by AAA agents. Our family are 43 year members and we went to book a vacation to San Diego with some family that we had visiting us from overseas. We were given what was said to be an amazing hotel and they showed us an incredible amount of pictures that all looked great and we paid an equally incredible amount to book it. We, of course, checked online to verify and the pictures all looked sourced from the traditional booking websites. Fast forward to our arrival the place looked horrible. It did not look as if it was two stars let alone the four they told us it was. Check in time was at 4:00 pm and they had us wait in the tiny cramped lobby until 7:30pm to get our rooms ready which was simply the worst experience ever. The large infinity pool they showed us looked barely the size of a backyard pool and was overly crowded and did not look clean. All this is not even mentioning the fact that we have a COVID resurgence going on and the place was incredibly crowded. We have booked with AAA before but this was the first time I found myself not only disappointed but purely embarrassed. I'd leave a negative star rating if I could honestly. I will never be booking with AAA again and I'll be calling to headquarters to report this branch as well. Never book vacations here EVER!! read more

I have been a member for over 60 years and am a fan of AAA. Today I am going to pay my registration and they always take good care of me. The branch is also 10 minutes from our home. It beats going to the DMV. They also have helped me to book air flights. I am quite pleased with their customer service. read more

This branch is my favorite branch to go to for all services, including DMV related matters. This location has less foot traffic and a phenomenal staff. For example; today I used this location to renew my motorcycle tags. Annabelle helped me out with renewing my tags. She was extremely helpful and courteous and despite it being right at the beginning of her day, she still had a smile on her face. The process was so quick that I was in and out in about 5 minutes. I would highly recommend this location to anyone that is looking for an efficient branch with a friendly staff. read more

If I wanted to be ignored and stand in line 40 minutes to get my tags, I would have gone to DMV and skipped the cost of membership. I was told it is the busiest day of the month (last day) and they are half staffed. Now what sense does that make? The line for DMV was to the door but no one offered to help the one girl handling car tags. The two other ladies were chatting away with customers that apparently had more pressing issues that did not involve paying for car registration. They were able to take a seat and got called to come up for assistance. Like customers or something. Meanwhile, the car registration people stood around like cattle waiting to be grateful when they finally exchanged a check for tags. Total time at the counter? 4 minutes. AAA member for 20+ years. Went in with an auto insurance question. Agent told me I would get a better rate if I added my home insurance. So I changed my home insurance over and AAA said they would take care of everything. They did not and a couple of months later I got a letter from my mortgage company saying I did not have home insurance. I went into AAA La Verne again and I was told that my policy was cancelled and they would not insure my home. No call, no email just cancelled. Asked to speak to the Manager and was told she was to busy to talk to me. I said I would wait but she still would not meet with me. This has caused me a lot of time and grief, thanks for nothing AAA. Farmers or State Farm here I come. I recommend you do the same as AAA cant be trusted to do what they said they would. read more

I felt compelled to share my experience with AAA last night when I called for service at 9:45 pm. I am disappointed in the service by the way did not get service from AAA because they never came out. I got a flat tire on 57/60 freeway. Didn't have the required tool to take tire off so called for a tow. I also had my 24 year old daughter and 2 grandchildren in car, 3 month old and 18 month old. After waiting 45 minutes with no status update I called in to inquire. I was informed they could not give me ETA because system was down. I asked if they called for a tow. The rep indicated he didn't know. At this time I was panicking since it was so late. I had to call my husband to come out. Around 10:50 pm a tow truck S&J pulls into shopping center at another store. I walk up to tow truck drive if he was here for my tow he said couldn't help me his car is overheating. Asked if he had a tool I needed to take tire off, he looked and said know. Told me to go buy it at Walmart and if they didn't have it just call in for a tow. At this time it was 11 pm. I called in for someone to pick up the babies so I could go home and get proper tools. I am totally disappointed in AAA. I am a 30 year member and have never received such poor service, reason I gave a 2 & not a 1. I am ashamed AAA does not have a better mechanism to handle tows when their system is down.last night I was left behind by AAA. read more

I have had AAA insurance for the last 4 months in the beginning they were really persuasive about why you should choose them. So I left State Farm and got home insurance and 3 car policies. After I sent my payment info, I was never contacted again following up with my policies, I called for almost a month until I got approval on my home insurance that was ridiculous. All my agent would tell me is we are working hard to get this done. So then a couple months they hit my wife's car on the back door as she was turning. Again called no one would answer leave messages and nothing. Until finally we contacted the manager we were able to get a call back. So now they say we have to pay up front and hope the other persons insurance doesn't take us to court. When there is clear evidence we were not at fault. Over all it's disappointing how they try really hard to convince you to switch but in the end they are a same low quality insurance. I should have stayed with State Farm a little more expensive but better quality and service read more

Office is ok. Stay away during lunch times and late afternoon as you will wait. Travel section personnel are less than stellar. And, see someone other than the lazy burned out old lady who sits in the middle of the travel section. I've had road service with AAA 39 years and is excellent for us. Car insurance is average and AAA is not really in your court. House insurance is good until you file a claim. AAA is slow to respond. While that wasn't an issue for us, getting a knowledgable person to assess the loss is. Or is that just this company's way to avoid paying claims? The 2 companies it took to repair our home both told us to file a claim it would be covered. A Mercury adjuster said it would have been with them. He said she said, you decide if it's worth it. read more

I wish I didn't have to give a star at all. I ordered Special Black plates in Upland on July 30th and they said they would have them delivered to the La Verne office for my convenience with in 12 to 16 weeks. What a JOKE! I went into AAA on Nov. 10th to pay my registration and asked about my plates and the woman who helped me didn't even check, she just said it wasn't here that they would notify me. I went in about 2 weeks later to inquire and another woman went to look and said they would notify me. Then I said can we call the Upland branch, she stated she didn't have the phone number. I didnt have my phone on me or I would have gotten the number for her. What a JOKE!! Then I call 3 weeks later on Dec 10th. to the Upland branch and they say that they were sent to the La Verne branch. So I go to the La Verne branch and go to pick them up and I ask how long they have had the new plates, and they tell me they came in on Nov 7th. You know, 3 days before I went in to pay for my registration on Nov. 10th. I ask why they didn't call me or send something in the mail and they said they tried to call me but they had the wrong number. That is such Bullshit. I have a AAA membership for 48 years and they don't know how to get ahold of me!! They have my info. I ask what if I hadn't come in. They stated that after 50 days they send them back to DMW. Great customer service here at this branch. Way to go that extra mile. What a crock of shit. Then the branch manager calls and Dec. 12th and says she is sorry, can she send me some Sees Candy, I say sure I can use it for a Christmas gift. I didn't receive any candy before the holidays and when I call her, she said that it must have been lost in the mail. You know she sent it to the Costa Mesa central office to be able to send it to me less then 5 miles away. Then she let me know that she was doing me a favor by giving me candy because it came out of her budget. Really!! How thoughtful of you to send me nothing. Plus the branch manager Nicole never answers the phone during the day and has a message to call you back in the afternoon. That is not correct either. I had to call a couple of times. I can't imagine they really working that hard there following up with customers. They certainly didn't follow up with me. I DO NOT recommend this branch. read more

Went to get some help with making some reservations after I spoke with a young lady over the phone who suggested that I come in and speak to an agent. After waiting for about 15 minutes I was called by travel Agent Conover who welcomed me and ask how he could assist me. After being seated I was very clear with the place, date and amount that I wanted to pay for Hotel reservations. After giving me just one quote he asked if I was ready to reserve the room. I ask if he could read the reviews and he read one the. Proceeded to inform me that he would not be readying them all. Really did I expect him to? What I did expect was a little more patience and for him to be a little more helpful with assisting me and with a much better attitude. He seem to not want to be bothered at all. I was very discourage and took the tour book he offered me and left after 10 minutes. Very poor customer service. If ever in need of travel service I will take my business to another AAA location. I have visited this location several other times and the customer service seems very dry. Not many smiles. read more
