Beware! If you like good customer service this is not the insurance agent for you. When State Farm screwed up my premiums (apparently a common occurrence in their low mileage discount policies) I called Mr. Martinez' office. First, Jacqueline tried to tell me that the problem was my fault - that I haven't paid enough. When I objected to her characterization of the situation, stating that I don't pay them an amount of my choice but that they reach into my checking account like the hand of god and take the amount they say I owe, she said she needed to do more research and hung up. Then I received an email from George that laid out an explanation of the payment history - just like the one I gave him. No resolution was forthcoming. I called again and said I wanted to speak to my elusive agent. I have never met him, never spoken to him. He took over my account when I moved to California because I could no longer keep my terrific agent in Phoenix, Mary Alice Aguilar. So far, I'm still waiting. Mr. Martinez hasn't bothered to call me back. Meanwhile, I'm checking rates at other companies as well as taking my issue directly to underwriting. I'll say one thing though, if I do stay with State Farm I certainly won't stay with Eric Martinez. I don't like being treated like shit. read more

Eric is a spectacular agent! We have a unique situation in that my wife's employer provides us with housing. Eric went out of his way to perfectly match State Farm products to our needs. Most insurance agents just sell the same thing, but Eric worked to understand our scenario and make sure we have the right insurance and are not overpaying.
