FIRST LET ME SAY THEIR ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE IS EXCELLENT, BUT THEIR HOME OWNER INSURANCE IS THE ABSOLUTE WORSE . My relative is a Vet and has had triple AAA for home owner Insurance for over 39 years! he recently had a bad leak that flooded the home, but they had to go to a hotel due to water damage, and they are 91 years old he and his wife! also they have a care giver, Let me say through experience of having my own flood, we had and still have Farmers, we were treated with such respect, and all our meals and hotel room and pet hotels were paid for, and we got to pick out our own carpet, cabinets etc, This poor vet is treated terrible by Michelle! they were not even offered a choice in all this! seems like triple AAA just was going to pick out their carpet, kitchen cabinets tiling and everything else for them instead of giving them the choice! then Triple AAA told them they would not pay for their meals due to they got a hotel with a little kitchenette, because they had to have a 2 bedroom for the care giver. Unbelievable, and the customer service has been so rude to them, trying to pinch a penny anyway they can. I'm disgusted they can treat a 91 year old vet and his wife this way, almost as if they are taking advantage of them due to their age ! 39 years with Triple AAA and this is how they are treated! Sorry but I have farmers and they paid for everything knowing how stressed we were. I was just there to pick up a book on Arizona and have been a member of AAA for over 35 years. The gal at the front destroy said oh your card is expired, and I said when and the date of expression showed August 21, 2016. I said oh my gosh I never got a bill and she said no problem I'll get you to an agent . Will even though it was less then a month expired the agent said I couldn't just renew I had to come in as a new member and I would lose the 35 years that was on my card, so he signed me up as a NEW member and that also meant the membership would cost an additional $20.00 as a new member. I asked if there was anyone I could talk to and he assured me there was no way I could come in as a 35 year member as mine had just expired!!!???? Anyway went to the car and then decided to go back and talk to a supervisor and low and behold you actually have 90 days after your card expires to just reinstate. So thanks to Jacob he cancelled the NEW membership and reinstated my card. Evidently you get points for signing up new members instead of helping members of good standing!! Go to USAA instead. I have been with AAA for 17 years. I am now shopping for a new insurance. My son was in the Bonsall fire evacuation area. AAA will not wave his $4,000 deductible. A neighbor has USAA and USAA waved the deductible for living expenses during this very stressful evacuation. It was a whopping $1,500 expense. Great Value and Efficient Service. I find the Premier Membership to be worth its weight in gold. My family of 4 uses many of the services and we each have extended area towing benefit (I want to say up to a tow of 200 miles), complimentary home lockout service, a vehicle lockout benefit (often completely covered depending on the service), complimentary notary service, reduced passport photos, priority phone service, credit monitoring and then the benefits that all other members have like free gas, roadside assistance, DMV services for common things, Travel services and Insurance sales. The two areas I find lacking are Travel advisement and Insurance sales. The travel advisors are not seasoned and creative like most good travel agents and the discounts are not super. Generally I've found my time spent with travel consultants to be a waste. The Insurance services appeal go the masses and are a good add on, however, rates are not the best, nor is coverage and you are lacking your own agent which is a must! The awesome thing that many people do not know is that you can call and get AAA the same day should you need a tow or service. Even better is you can upgrade a current membership same day also if needing additional service at a reduced rate - learned this trick from AAA provider years ago. The hotel and restaurant discounts save me money, but I only remember to use this for hotel bookings generally. I'll say it again, Great Value and well worth the small financial outlay. Large location. Lots of parking and open on Saturdays! Love the services provided and that we can get our registration taken care of same day for our car however the service was spotty and it forms were just given without much explanation. Considering we pay for these services it would be nice to also be given exceptional service. read more

I have had issues with these jokers from the start! But this one has set me OFF! My GF booked her Italy trip through AAA. She gave herself 3 hours before every flight out. She gets stuck in Chicago O'hare airport. Umm, the ONLY pilot in the airport appearently is sick, no backup! So she calls AAA right away! These fools have her on hold for 45mins! She hangs up and attempts to gather information about what's going on. THEN, she calls AAA back concerning her connecting flight to London. After 38 mins they put her on the phone with bigger fools...PRICELINE! They tell her, "well you have to take a taxi in London to another airport in hopes to catch a flight to Italy." WTF! She calls me crying. I call AAA, the same exact lines they gave her, they feed me! Then PRICELINE, HANGS UP ON ME, AFTER 48 mins of "trying to fix it". AAA travel, is nothing but hustlers! They sale you insurance & hope that all will be fine, UNTIL something goes wrong. The lady from AAA told me, "Well, when she returns if your still not happy....File a complaint." Oceanside AAA; DO NOT EVER GO THERE ! ! I have found on 2 separate occasions that my agent had Not charged me the proper amount and my Insurance had Lapsed. Not knowing for 2 weeks later. I had to call to ensure I had coverage. Just because my Agent did not charge the right amount, the corporate would find his mistake and lapse my insurance. if You Have AAA, Be sure you are covered, NEVER take your agents word for it, not from this office. So in turn I have taken my whole family and family companies over to another insurance company where your not treated like a number. AAA HAS NO INTEGRITY AT THIS OFFICE. MY FAMILY WAS FLAT OUT LIED TO BY OUR AGENT ! ! I made sure my whole family has left and they have now lost over $10,000.00 in payments over their lack of INTEGRITY ! ! Where do I begin?!? I purchased car insurance through AAA because I figured it was a better company than my previous one and at first Tim Broughton was nice and helpful back in 2016. The challenge came when tried to make a change on my policy in 2017. All I wanted was to add a car and a driver. You would think that the change was so complicated that it was sent to underwriting for further review and it took them close to a month to release the policy! I added a Chevy Aveo, how complicated is that?!?! Because the renewal date was coming up, I wanted to know how much I was going to have to pay and couldn't get an answer online or through my rep. I emailed Tim and called Tim and of course he was giving me the run around. I ended up leaving a message to his supervisor Jordan Racey and he tried to give me a lame excuse on why it was taking forever. I finally received my proof of insurance for the added driver/vehicle but still no answer on how much I was going to pay. Originally I was told it would be $157 a month and I was fine with that. When I received the proof of insurance I noticed that the coverage was wrong, I emailed Tim before the payment was due to see if we can schedule an appt to sit down and review my policy. And received yet again NO REPLY! When the date came instead of being charged $157 I was charged $209!! I emailed both Tim and Jordan (cause apparently that's the only way you get a reply from Tim) and what do you know, he claims that my email was sent to his junk mail (coincidence??) I ended up going back to my old insurance company and asked Tim to cancel because I was tired of the bad service I was receiving. The due date was 8/13/17 and I canceled my policy on 8/16/17, I asked them for a rushed refund and of course they ignored my request and sent it in the mail. Not only that, the refund they sent was of $110...REALLY?!?! NEVER again will I purchased car insurance through AAA! And NEVER EVER AGAIN will I deal with the poor excuse of an insurance representative named Tim Broughton. read more

Customer service is a joke to them. I called the manager 2 times and have not gotten a response. Bryan Billeb does not know what he is doing. Got my renters insurance cancelled because he didn't follow through with the paperwork like he said he would. Had to cancel my old policy because he lied and said he would but never did. I recently changed my car and home insurance to AAA, I was helped by a tall handsom fellow named Kevin in the Oceanside office. He went above and beyond to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand, he showed me several differnt options and we came up with plan that is in my best interest and I saved a lot of money! I have never felt so comfortible trusting an insurance company and an agent. If you are shopping for insurance I would highly recommend AAA and ask for Kevin you will not be disappointed. read more

Exceptional customer service here in Oceanside. Thought I would end having to go to that Pit- the CA DMV. I had a particular thorny situation in registering an out-of-state car. The DMV Specialist that I had, reviewed all my legal documents against all the CA rules, regulations, and laws to confirm I could get CA tags. She completed the numerous complicated DMV forms. Just a great job. This AAA office is definitely highly knowledgeable and extremely professional. The best customer service that I have had in years. All of the CA DMV could take a strong lesson from these people at AAA. read more

Seems to me that a lot of people posting on here are too LAZY or unorganized to pay their DMV invoice before it became due and then BLAME AAA for not being quicker in helping customers waiting in line. Listen people, if you did not pay your DMV registration on time or waited to the last minute, I understand, but really, take a book with you or the newspaper and stand in line and know and plan that it will take time. Cool your jets. If you didn't want to wait then pay your bill earlier and don't wait till the last minute, but to blame AAA for your problems is ridiculous! These guys don't know to find the customer the best price and they have no clue. I had to travel to New york on business and purchased a first class ticket on AA, they charged me $2500. By chance I found a business card for a agency in Vista I had dealt while back and spoke to the same guy and he got me the identical flights for $1500???? I went straight and met (RON) double and triple check what he had was the same identical arrangements, I really could not believe my eyes. I just gave him the AMX to issue the ticket and headed to Oceanside AAA office and cancelled the transaction with them. Went to do a title transfer and renew my membership. Was excited that I remembered that AAA can do this so I can avoid the DMV. I was the first customer of the day. Happy Hawaiian decor everywhere! Maybe I'll book a cruise! Well, the young girl who waited on me must have stayed up all night and worked at the DMV in a prior life because she was a total robot and seemed to be half asleep. A fire under her seat couldn't liven her up. She knew what she was doing - print here - sign here - date here....I'll give her that. But if I wanted to be a number, I'll go to the godforsaken DMV for free and skip my membership renewal for which she was totally ungrateful. At least the line at the DMV is entertaining. Wake up and be thankful you got a job, robot! Not even s thank you for renewing. Wow. I can not believe what poor customer service I received when I foolishly decided to switch my homeowners and auto insurance to AAA. I have had AAA membership for years, grew up with TripTiks and guidebooks and do my DMV stuff at AAA. Sometimes there were waits, but AAA was always good. But the insurance side. What a mistake. I had been at the same insurance company for 20 years, thought I might get better service at AAA, with their "legendary customer service". I was treated beautifully when I was buying the policies. Couldn't have been nicer. Then 2 months later, I received a letter from underwriting that my agent had make 2 mistakes and both my premium and deductibles would be higher. I couldn't believe it. I took the letter in and heard how it was an honest mistake and even though it left me with a policy cost that no one in their right mind would have taken, no worries. Uh huh. The previously lovely agent, Tim B. was argumentative and kept saying, do you want me to help you, do you want me to help you, and kept trying to show me on a computer screen how he hadn't made a mistake even though the letter from underwriting clearly said he had. 2 of them. Then the manager wanted to "be honest with me" and said underwriting wouldn't budge, and it was an honest mistake (like it matters!) and I could go elsewhere if I wasn't ok with it. Really? AAA agent screws up, and it's on the customer's dime. I kept telling the manager, Hampton, that I was not receiving legendary service, as I was surrounded by signs asking if I was receiving legendary service. He didn't seem particularly concerned. So I went back to my old insurance company, Hatter, Purdy, Williams, who was so gracious at taking me back and wrote me much less expensive policies along with their terrific customer service. Wow, huge mistake on my part to leave, much less to go to AAA. I love my membership and have had it my entire adult life, but the insurance, stay away! I would not have believed it if I hadn't actually experienced it myself. I would give zero stars if I could. read more
