I had an old system, Nutone IK 15, very simple system that replaces a standard door bell up. Had one company spent 2 days trying to make repairs on the system and instead caused more problems This outfit, that shall remain nameless, wanted 2800 USD to repair the wiring and install another system. As it turned out, the wiring was fine, this other outfit had no idea how to trace the wiring and determined that it was necessary to open the wall board to find the open circuit and/or run new wiring. AAA installed a new Airphone system for less than 800 USD and only took a couple hours to complete and test the system operation. Recommend them highly; 5 stars! read more

*** OUT OF BUSINESS *** I waited a long time to give this review, hoping I'd see what other reviews in years past spoke so highly of, but the time for patience is long gone. I called Mark (AAA Intercom Systems DBA Amark Electric) in early September of 2019 looking for a solution to lowering my monthly intercom cost. Mark proposed a low cost solution that no other vendors were offering. We set the appointment a couple weeks out, for September 20th. I call Mark to confirm a few days before and he tells me he has the materials he needs and we're confirmed. Twenty minutes before he is scheduled to arrive at the property, he calls to tell me to say, oh-uh, actually he doesn't have the modem in stock and it'll take a week to arrive and he'll call me when it is delivered to his office. Okay... A week goes by...then another. Nothing from AAA Intercom Systems dba Amark Electric. I call Mark to find out what is going on and the guy is radio silent. Another week passes and I try him again. He gets back to me a few days later by text at 2:18am on October 4th to say the modem arrived and he is ready to schedule an appointment (not exactly business hours but I didn't really care because I was awake and at this point we're well past him acting "professional"). I say "Great. When? Tomorrow? Saturday? Monday?" I'm available. Again, no response until October 15th 11 days later! At this point you're probably wondering "why even bother with this guy? Why not go to someone, ANYONE else? Well, everyone else was offering solutions costing thousands of dollars and Mark was offering an installation solution under $400 plus $30/month (the DIY instructions are at the bottom). Plus, my current system was working, it's just expensive with an at&t phone line, especially if you aren't under contract. So we make an appointment for October 22nd. The day before the appointment arrives, and I call mark to confirm. He tells me he (and AAA Intercom Systems dba Amark Electric) are now officially out of business because he got a sweet contract with Amazon for $2 million but I can easily order the consumer cellular modem that he would have and have my maintenance crew do what he would have (In a later text message Mark actually told me he just doesn't like traveling out of the city which is probably the real reason he bailed twice but who knows if he'd even make the effort in SF either). Oh and the "too good to be true" $400 solution? Turns out after ordering the consumer cellular modem for $30 to replace my expensive AT&T landline, and spending a few hours installing it, we find out first through trial and error and then directly from Consumer Cellular that you can't use touch-tone response with their Phone Base landline replacement (like pressing "6" or "#" so your tenant cannot open the door remotely for the guest), so this won't even work for intercom purposes, unless you don't mind not being able to buzz people in. TLDR: This guy is super unprofessional and totally unreliable. read more

SO impressed with this place. After many people could not figure out why our intercom system would not work, Mark came over and we were all up and running within 10-15 minutes. Then, he noticed the latch on the door was loose, and fixed that. Then he did some other adjusting and fixed the lock on the box so that it would lock even tighter and made it a 100 times more secure. And made several other minor adjustments just to give the system a tuneup. He went way above the call of duty, when most people would of fixed the issue you called about, he took the time to give our system a little over haul for NO EXTRA CHARGE! I was paying for the one hour service call (super reasonable by the way), so he took care of me. Nice man, definitely highly recommend this company. read more

Mark's very knowledgeable about his business and a wide range of intercom products. He's also a nice guy and cares about delivering good service. We had a bit of a scheduling miscommunication the first time we spoke, so to make up for it Mark offered to make a special trip, free of charge, to evaluate my broken intercom. Within a minute of arriving he'd diagnosed the issue and got the system working again - but he didn't stop there! He pointed out a couple things that could develop into future issues, but instead of trying to upsell me, he just tinkered around to see if he could fix them outright. At the end of his visit my intercom was working again and he refused to take a penny! I'm very impressed with his commitment to service and his knowledge. A guy came to fix my intercom yesterday and he was great! I forget his name but he knew what he was doing and had tons of experience. He had all the tools he needed including a wand that traces phone wires. I didn't know something like that existed but it was very useful. He was able to identify the problem and his price for the visit was reasonable and exactly what I would expect to pay. Although he couldn't fix the problem on the spot because it involved phone wires, he told us exactly what to tell the phone company, showed us where the problem was, and they patched everything the next morning. Although we didn't need to replace the intercom system we will definitely call this company if we do. The tech showed us an example that he did.. right next door. Next time your intercom doesn't work, forget about calling your locksmith and call this guy! 5 thumbs up! read more

Mark is hard working, honest, and more importantly, he knows what he's doing. He quickly fixed the doorbell intercom system in my 2-unit building, rewired everything, and did it at a fair price. The whole repair service took less than three hours. I had two intercoms that he offered to fix, but I declined as I only needed the doorbell and gate buzzer functions to work in both units. I was looking for a place that could reprogram the intercom system for my new apt complex. Contacted few place prior to calling this place. They either told they had to come to look at the system first, in order to make an estimate about the cost or just gave an outrageous estimate over the phone. Mark was able to set an appointment for the same day that I phoned. He arrived right on time. Within minutes after reviewing our 30 year old Sentrex Intercom he had it working again. This truly is a good as it gets and I base that on fifteen years of prior experience with the service providers scheduled at our building by a former property management company. All of those providers (locksmiths and electricians) charged far, far more and made matters worse, from time to time.
