After having a horrible experience at another AAA office this Office was a breath of fresh air came here after being told it would be one hour and 18 minutes wait for dmv services total time from pulling into the parking lot walking to the front door waiting in line and back to the car no more than 10 minutes that is what I call service and the guy that helped me actually could read my tattoo and understand what it was all about intelligent man... anyhow I'm gonna renew again just because of the excellent service provided by the Los Gatos AAA Offices THANKS AGAIN read more

Had my carseat inspection with Andrew last week and it was super helpful! It took about 20 minutes of pure useful information, including having me practice installing the seat correctly, showing me how/when to change the settings, and what to do in a taxi situation with no base available. Andrew was great! Really patient and knowledgeable and overall I would highly recommend getting your seat checked here. Even if you think it all seems pretty self-explanatory, theres a lotta good tips I gained and feel much better about the safety of our baby. Scheduling was really easy too and had more time options than some other AAA's. read more

Dreadful. Went to this location for DMV registration. The woman who processed the transaction did not smile, ever. Did. Not. Smile. She bordered on hostile, tossing my paperwork onto the counter when she was finished with it. In addition, she processed the registration incorrectly and then had attitude when asked to fix it. Since there was no name plate or name tag available to identify her, I will simply describe her: Long dark hair, pulled back into a low ponytail, orange glasses, dark paisley print blouse. No warmth, no welcome, no smile, no nothing. Just: no. Not coming coming here in the future. read more

I scheduled a call with Andrew in the office for car seat installation. The call was scheduled for 30 mins but it went for 1.5hrs. Andrew was very patient and professional at all times. He not only gave clear instructions, but also triple checked everything's alright and explained all the details in and out. I felt like that I got a college education in 1.5 hrs. read more

We came to have our car seat inspected. We had to recently change our new born car seat to a full infant+ car seat. We had recently went to Buy Buy Baby first to have them help with the install as we had questions about the baby configuration. BBB has a fee based service where we paid $100 to have someone come to our home and help us. Was 10000% COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!! The person they sent didn't really know anything and didn't really provide any value. When we asked questions, she kept saying "whatever the instructions say!" Well, if the instructions were super clear I wouldn't be asking!!! Luckily, we found Andrew, at the Los Gatos AAA. ironically not only was it a FREE service provided by AAA, but Andrew was SUPER informative and knowledgeable!! He stayed with us section by section. He answered all our questions and provided us the confidence we needed to ride home with the car seat, and Baby secure! Andrew, thank you so much for all your help today. I have another negative review for this ridiculous company. I was a customer for years and for a long time I was very happy with them. Recently however I have found that this company isn't about they customers anymore but instead making it look like they are and finding any kind of loopholes they can to not have to pay or pay the minimum to the tow truck companies so most of them won't even accept they're requests. 3 different occasions now we have been left stranded in in our broken down car. I don't even know what the point of paying for roadside assistance when they can't ever find a to assistance to help me get off the side of the road. So then they say that if I call a tow company & get a tow then they will reimburse me for it once they get the information from me but if you take too long or don't stay on them you'll never get it back and it will take 2 months minimum to get it back if your lucky! I'm broke af since getting laid off from covid. That being said I also lost my AAA insurance because they weren't willing to work with me and help me with any kind of real covide relief or payment plan that would allow me to keep insurance!! The little "relief" they do is just for P.R. and doesn't actually relieve any of us that are struggling for real and could use some real help! This company has really taken a selfish turn for the worst and id think real hard before giving them your hard earned money just to be told they can't help you. On the surface, the service seemed good. However if you are getting a passport photo here, be careful. What I found out when I had my passport renewal delayed due to a bad picture taken at this branch is that there is now software to check all the requirements for a passport photo. Clearly either this branch doesn't use it or ignores the mistakes. I went to Walgreens and they use the required software and found that my eyes weren't open wide enough to pass the check. I have been using the Los Gatos AAA for some time, for trip planning, towing, and DMV tasks. My most recent visit was my best ever. I had two vehicles that needed serious updates to their registration, and several questions about my options and needed work to sell or donate them. I got quick, friendly service and all of my questions answered. Most of my DMV transaction could be done then and there (and none on-line), but I needed one missing document to finish. A quick trip home to fetch the paper I had not realized I needed and the job was done. Total wait in line was under 10 minutes for two visits within an hour or so. read more

Not only was Mark extremely friendly and helpful, I truly felt like I got the best rate I would get and for once walked away actually understanding what I was paying for when it came to my insurance. This is a review for DMV services. The reps are nice, but they make mistakes that cost me time and money. For example, * I changed my address and the rep told me my form was finished. I actually had a missing signature and subsequently a delinquent registration renewal * I was told I couldn't complete registration renewal because I needed a smog check when the requirement was for a different vehicle car Sometimes there is a long line of people, yet there are only 2 trained reps to handle DMV services and when 1 takes a brake things back up. This branch should train others to help speed things up. Also the reps like to chit chat even when the line is backed up. The office looks neat but reeks of bureaucracy, like an academic or government institution, the kind of place where employees take lots of mini-breaks, pretend to work, and lack innovation. read more

Wow! I have to give a shout out to these guys. I have been here to buy car insurance and use the DMV service in the past. At all times I felt like the staff was professional and the prices were fair. With the DMV in Los Gatos being a total nightmare I would say AAA is anyones best option. For either service the lines are short and you can get in and out in under an hour. I am married I have a triple AAA priemier membership. My credit is not good so I am not on my husbands loan and our car is registered to him...came to renew my tags and they wouldn't do it. I had no problem doing it at AAA different office last year. Because the registration is in his name we he has to be a memeber. I drive way more than him so I have the memebership. He was with me and We had the registration papers. Not acceptable in my eyes. Whdo we have to have 2 memberships if I purchase travel through AAA not every person traviling has to be a AAA memeber. read more

This is a nice office! It actually puts a face and a place with that AAA card that has been sitting in your wallet for years. It lets you explore all the cool stuff you get with your membership that most people dismiss out of hand. Get an insurance quote, free maps from the vending machine (when it's working!), info on discounts, LOTS of cool benefits! Not to mention the TONS of time you save by doing DMV paperwork (title transfers and registration etc) at the AAA office location instead of waiting in line at the actual DMV. I needed to renew my roadside assistance plan that my mom bought for me last year. I couldn't find any of the paperwork. So I walked in and was promptly and warmly greeted. He waived me over and found me in the system and talked with me about options. I'd been in an accident in San Francisco recently and found out that I only had 5 miles of towing and wanted to understand the next level up (which is 100 miles of towing) and what it got me. While I was reviewing things, he went and fetched me the travel books for NoCal, SoCal and Arizona/NM after hearing me talk with my daughter about how we needed to plan our trips. Talk about anticipating and exceeding my expectations. I just wish I could remember who helped us. Anyway, we saw all the amenities (DMV and movie ticket) and will be back to take advantage of it further. Parking isn't bad if you stay up between AAA and PetSmart. Further in, you run into the crazed Trader Joe's people. (and I do shop at TJs, but heavens...some of them are insane maniacs behind the wheel.) read more

just move to US, 1st time buying car in US. Jacob (Jake) Peters has been helping me since I first start searching for a car. I was on and off on trips so, my purchased got delayed. Since I didn't have a car in US, so, when I buy my beautiful car and want to drive it home immediately, I need his immediate help to generate the car insurance. feel bad that usually it's my after work hours or weekend to look for cars. End up I found my lovely car (certified pre-owned) on a sat early night and the paper works went on. So, I called Jake at sat night but he immediately processed the car insurance and I sent to the car dealer. The agent there simply opened my policy detail with all claim history to another customer not in my policy (to my friend, that was how I knew that). Don't go there if you care about your privacy. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! I purchased a vehicle recently and because I cannot stand dealing with DMV my friends convinced me to join AAA. I called the office and was pressured to join over the phone. I wanted to know all of the different plans and drove 25+ miles to the AAA in Los Gatos. Walked in and there was someone at a desk with a sign over her head Insurance/New Members. I explained that I wanted to join AAA and start the paperwork to change ownership on a vehicle. She told me go wait in this line. I would of thought that someone would sit me down and explain all of the options of membership. There was only 1 person behind the desk helping people. Two others not looking up and closed. The woman behind the New membership desk did not help and the manager also did not offer to help. After my wait, I decided to walk out. After a moment, I walked back in to explain my frustration to the manager. He could care less telling me how long the wait at DMV was and not offering to bring me on as a new member. AAA will NEVER get my money. I really hope someone from corporate reads this and does some personnel changes at this branch. read more

Good rates? Yes. Good customer service? I don't think so. Probably the worst AAA I've ever been to. I had to drive down in traffic to pick up a new proof of insurance for my car, which wasn't automatically sent to my house after it expired, because a rep couldn't simply fax/email it to me. I tell the lady on the phone that I needed someone to do it ASAP (email was sent the day before) and she puts me to someone's voicemail? Hello? What part of my insurance papers expired already didn't she get? Might have to consider going elsewhere....the words 'customer service' doesn't exist at this facility! read more

Once we went in Andrew was so helpful and showed us everything we needed to know. He even helped us move the seat to the middle of the back seat because it's safer there. Wow... I went in to go transfer ownership of a car into my name, there were only a few people in line, and when i heard one of them say "You guys only accept checks and cash?!?" I took the clue that I needed to hit an ATM, when I asked the woman working behind the cue where the nearest one is she pointed to the 7/11 kitty-corner to there building with out saying a word. I walked over there and withdrew $300 which I assumed would be enough to register my car. I walked back over to the AAA and waited in line again. When it became my turn I walked up to the counter and handed the employee all of my documents. She asked for my AAA card, and I asked her if she could look up my member number by name because I had no card with me, after a long sigh she asked for my ID which I handed to her. She walked over to the phone and came back 5 minutes later saying my account had expired a while back and I could reactivate it for about $80. I made a call to the AAA center in southern California where I'm from and asked if this was true (because I'm a platinum member and remembered making a payment recently) and they said that in fact, no, my membership was active and that my new card should have been delivered the past week. They then asked the woman to give them a call. I had her do that and she had the audacity to say "sir, I'm not suppose to do that" in front of all of the other customers...not suppose to help me? Not suppose to resolve my dilema? I'm a platinum member...I know nothing gold can stay...but c'mon. She reluctantly got on the phone, and after verifying that my membership was active she looked over my paperwork until she could find something to gouge me for. "Sir, that will be $497, cash or check?" I asked her how come it was twice the amount that ANY other car I'd ever registered had been and she said, that it was a late registration based on the date the seller had written (AND SCRATCHED OUT!) on the pink slip, she then handed me a DMV form and said that I had to go and find that guy (Who was from Craigslist...and who's number is probably no longer in my phone) and get him to sign a form saying that he had made an error... Needless to say, I simply went down to the DMV and explained my dilema, and they sorted everything out and I payed a reasonable $240 to register the car WITHOUT jumping through the hoops I would have had to in order to do business with AAA. If any managers of this AAA are reading...I hope you make the necessary corrections in your store so that this type of incidence doesn't happen again, feel free to contact me on here if you need further information about the incidence, otherwise I will be cancelling my platinum membership, as well as the memberships of my family members. read more

On the day of appointment person who supposed to check my car seat called me to cancel it because of the bad weather. He promised to call me to reschedule. He newer did. Well my wife paid my registration for my vehicle and said they couldnt give it to her no biggie....they said just come in with your ID and we will have it in the safe for you...well I get there this morning and the woman wouldnt speak to me without registration slip...so now I have to go back home and find it, I go back and the stupid old lady asks me if I have proof of paying....you gotta be kidding me so she looks it up and it was paid,and it was mailed out to you..... so at this moment I give them no stars but you cant do that...I HAVE DELT WITH THE LOS GATOS BRANCH DMV AND WOULD SUGGEST YOU GO THERE. As a AAA customer for over 15 years, I am disgusted with this office. I showed up at 5:28 PM, and tried to open the door, only to have it be locked. The ladies inside, one especially, a heavier set lady, starred at us as other clients inside the office were notifying her that we were waiting. She REFUSED to open the door. I was purely disgusted that a company with otherwise great customer service locks their doors 2 minutes early, or on the dot and REFUSE to let people in. I will file a complaint with AAA's complaint line just because of principle. Don't go here, they don't like to help, obviously. read more
