I've been taking my vacuums (and now a sewing machine) into AAA Sew and Vac for several years now. They're trustworthy and efficient. I have an Aerus Electeolux vacuum and a Sebo. My mother in law has been using this store for years with no issues, however this year she went in to get her vacuum repaired & kept getting the run around on fixing it & parts. Long story, much drama & back / forth - bottom line - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER - owner was condescending, dismissive and petty. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE- the owner yelled, rolled her eyes CONSTANTLY, made nasty comments and threats. I took a almost new Simplicty vacuum in to get repaired because it would only run for about 20 minutes. The ignorant bastarto that owned the place told me to get out of his shop because he doesn't look at Vacuums that ARE BOUGHT ON LINE although it was the manufactured recommended repair shop. It finally turned out that the cleaning lady was sucking up our throw rug fibers and the air flow was blocked. This guy was an example of a petty crook and was only there to "Fleese" the public. I took me Dyson here about a year ago. They fixed it and charged me around $159. This week my Dyson broke again, but this time I took it to an authorized Dyson repair in Holliday. The authorized Dyson repair place in Holliday fixed it for free! My Dyson was still under warranty. I would have hoped AAA Sew & Vac would have known about the existing warranty and could have been no cost would have been great. Perhaps even ethical. I wonder if AAA Sew & Vac warranty their work since the parts replaced today were probably the same parts they replaced a year ago and should have been free. read more

Sewing machine repair. I had paid $40 to Ace Who didn't fix it and didn't try and didn't refund my $40. I brought it to AAA and they were very knowledgeable, gave me all the info I need, fixed it and I was on my way! My reason for four instead of five is that they quoted a dollar range for the repair then charged $10 more than the top of that range. read more

I have to place this review for my 88 year old mother as she is not technologically savvy. My mother brought in her sewing machine for repair last week (during the Pandemic), and was given an initial quote of $59, she showed up to pick it up and the price was $96 for a 10 year old $129 sewing machine! There was a blob of glue on the top of the machine, and there is no idea yet as to whether the machine has been repaired or not. The condition of the shop upon her picking it up was not sterile given the current virus situation and a concern for her age group. None of these issues are the real issue. My mother called to express her concern about the condition of the shop and the expense of the repair when a woman called her back and proceeded to condescend to her. The terrible disrespect of my mother is what is my issue with this. I will personally never use this business! read more

Such a great store! The employee was very knowledgeable and went out of her way to educate us. She troubleshooted my sister's Bernina sewing machine and figured out the problem would not require repair or maintenance on the machine from their shop. Been here once, didn't have what I needed. Went here again to pick up vacuum bags for my Kirby G4. It was 9:00 am and the sign on the door says they don't open until 10:00. Killed some time and returned at 10:00. Waited until 10:10 yet nobody showed to open for the day. Noticed the coupon I had expired the end of February. Drove back home and bought 18 genuine Kirby bags for $26 including shipping on Amazon. They arrived four days later. I wanted to support the local guy. I really did. I tried but you've got to meet me half way - as in opening when you're supposed to open. Sure, something must have happened and that's OK. I hoped you got it worked out. I've got no reason to be loyal to you. It's too easy to go elsewhere. I've given you two tries and I seriously doubt there will be a third. That's just how I roll. read more

I'd be a little cautious taking your vacuum to this place for a repair. I did, asking only for one item to be repaired. When I came to pick up the vacuum, they had replaced the power cord (which did have some worn spots that had been taped up with electrician's tape) and done a few other items that, although needed to be done, we a little more than what I had wanted to have done, and more than I wanted to pay for. Having said that, they did a good job, and knew what they were doing. The prices seemed fair and the people were friendly. read more

I need to give a shout out to AAA Sew and Vac for their wonderful service! Originally they gave me a 4 or 5 week turn around time for maintenance on my sewing machine which was expected. One week after it was dropped off, I had an emergency where I needed to get it back ASAP. I offered to pick it up, without being serviced and then bring it back later, but instead they put a rush on it and got it back to me one day later all serviced! My sewing machine was having issues and in need of some major TLC just one week before Halloween (gotta get those costumes made!). I called at least half a dozen 'sewing machine and vacuum' shops before coming across AAA Sew and Vac, which seemed like the ONLY place that actually repairs sewing machines. I explained to Tammy, who was incredibly helpful and friendly, that I needed my machine fixed as soon as possible. While she explained that due to Halloween season (I guess everyone else had the same idea in mind...), the repairman was flooded orders but she said to bring it in and she'll expedite my repair. The store is small and quaint but it's jam-packed with everything you'll need for your sewing machine or vacuum. I was informed that the repairman has been doing this for 30+ years and he truly knows what he's doing. Based on a quick examination of my machine, Tammy said it should just needs to be serviced (never got it serviced once during the 10 years I've owned my machine) but she'll call me if any additional repairs/costs will be incurred. After about 3 days, I received a call that my machine was ready for pick up! Turns out it just needed was a good ol' cleaning and greasing, as well as some adjustments in the gears. For $120, I got the full cleaning and tune up service and I couldn't have been happier! And the service was superb! Got my sewing machine in time to sew two Gandalf the White AND Gray capes, 2 dresses, and my costume for Russell from the Pixar movie Up, in time for Halloween parties galore! Proud to support small, local businesses and I definitely plan on taking my vacuum in since that's having some issues as well! read more

Tammy is truly the most condescending shrew I have ever come in contact with, rolling her eyes, being disrespectful, commenting to other customers about you (while you stand there). I had my vacuum serviced, or I should say I was bamboozled into replacing every belt & filter for over $ 80.00 dollars and 2 months later "shocking" the vacuum still is having the same issue they "fixed"??? I can honestly not say one good thing about this place, it is crowed, dirty, old & a ghetto environment.This company does not even own a computer, so forget asking them to locate anything about your previous service they don't have record, hello its 2017, get with the times. I've been here several times for various reasons and I've ways left felling happy that I have supported a local small business owner. Today I dropped 3 hunsky on a central vac power head and some other accessories. I got every penny of my monies worth. When it comes to anything vacuum, this is your guy! This place is great! Verl has been servicing my vacuum every year for 25 years now. He has no problem with ordering extras for me. Verl is a great and very honest guy. He tells it like it is and doesn't give me any hassle. This is the only place that I have felt I get my moneys worth. Could I go online and maybe get a few things cheaper...? I have been a happy, loyal customer of AAA Sew & Vac for years. I have had my sewing machine serviced and repaired several times as well as vacuum repairs and just picking up vacuum bags and belts. A couple of weeks ago I bought a vacuum from them and wasn't happy with some of the features after I got home. I took it back and told Tammy about my concerns. She was great and really did go above and beyond my highest expectations to solve the problem. I would give them the highest rating possible on customer service! When we moved into our new house we noticed our vacuum wasn't working well. Then it started making a weird noise and over heating. Due to the fact that we had just moved we didn't have a ton of money to spend on a new vacuum. I called around to a few vacuum shops and they all said the same thing "sharks are not meant to be fixed, we can't find parts for them." I was so discouraged but decided to try one one place. I called AAA and they said bring it in and they would listen to it and see if they think it was something that could be fixed. That was the farthest I had gotten yet so already I was excited. I took it in and everyone was so nice. He took a listen and said it just needed to be unclogged and cleaned. He gave me the price and I was so surprised at how inexpensive it was going to be. I left it there and picked it up the next day. It has been running great since! Hopefully I'm able to get at least another year out of it thanks to AAA! read more

I would love to give a better review as the person (maybe the owner) was very nice and seemed personable, but I cannot. I brought my vacuum (a Miele) to him because the powerhead seemed like it had a short in it somewhere. He said he would look at it, and see if he could fix it. He said the issue was some kind of switch and it would be a $40.00 repair. I said that was fine and he repaired it. I went to pick it up when it was done, and he told me that my heigt adjustment was broken when he opened it and it currently did not work. There was no issues with my height adjustment when I dropped it off to him...He could not repair the height adjustment as he was not able to get Miele parts. My height adjustment was not broken before he "repaired" it and now I have to pay ANOTHER repair person about $50.00 to fix what he broke. Bad service if you asked me. If you cannot fix a specific brand, do not attempt to repair that brand. Now I am out the $40.00 for the part he fixed and another $50.00 to repair the part he broke. BTW, it was an $8.00 part, so the LEAST he should have done is given me a discount on his fee because he broke my machine. read more
