Further they were barely any help at all to try to source new parts (did most of the legwork myself). Instead they stuck a heavy wrench tool between hinge where the door meets the oven body and applied body weight pressure against the door -- which they said has worked for other customers it did absolutely nothing at all to fix our issue except to make everything worse. Then they spent the next 15 minutes telling me to consider a new $3000+ unit.

He was thorough in explaining the problem. He was fully booked but made time to examine and then squeezed me in to fix it two days later instead of waiting over the weekend. Whew! He arrived, took it apart, then left saying he had an idea that he thought he could try that he'd been having great success with. He went to get what he needed, came back and got to work again. The idea paid off....making the repair bill go from $350 down to $218. We will definitely call him again if needed! Honest and diligent. I see why the good reviews and how he's been in business for so long.

But Neil called me back and took the time to listen to all the problems (don't buy Maytag) and give some ideas of things to try even before he came out. We decided it was worth having an expert come out to diagnose. Neil gave us a thorough and unbiased assessment and his recommendation. I couldn't have asked for more. PLUS, he was very affordable. We ended up replacing, but I was glad we had Hart's come out.

When we finally reached a manager, we were offered only ~$120 back, while being charged for multiple visits, diagnostics, and a part that did not fix the problem. At no point was it clearly explained that this would be a trial-and-error process with uncertain results. Very disappointing experience--both in terms of the repair outcome and how the situation was handled.

Keep in mind the part was $18 and he was there for about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, they were unable to fix the dishwasher, even after I was responsible for ordering the replacement part myself. When the repair still did not work, they agreed to only refund $80 of the $362, despite not resolving the issue. Instead, the only solution they offered was to install a brand-new dishwasher, which was not helpful. I am fine paying some money for their time and I was hoping for a fair solution. Overall, I was very disappointed with both the outcome and the lack of accountability when the repair was unsuccessful. I know there are more honest upfront guys out there who are not going to charge you a crazy amount when they can't fix the exact thing you paid them to do. So do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

He was incredibly thorough, inspecting every part of the fridge and taking the time to explain exactly what he was doing. He showed me what needed to be fixed, why it needed attention, and answered all of my questions. He even went above and beyond by cleaning the back of the refrigerator at no extra charge.
