I totally forgot about this location as I once use to live in Summerlin & I have been in here years ago. I was just in this shopping plaza the other day to get my hair done & I remember that this was here....super happy because I needed to register my car & this location has a kiosk that you can do it on. I don't know about you but I dislike going to the DMV with their long waits. This kiosk is great, easy to use & fast! There was a newby using it upon my arrival but had an employee helping him out. Once he was done I jumped on. Make sure you check your odometers' reading & bring your postcard from the DMV because there is a barcode on there that you scan. I think you can still use this machine without it but you will be inputting info. Takes CC & debit. You will get your registration with a sticker on it printed out. There is a fee to use the machine, I think it was $4.00? This location is big inside with lots of desks for the employee's. I wasn't greeted or spoken to upon arrival or while there. Guess they assumed I knew what I was doing??? LOL But I was surprised that no one asked to see my AAA membership card, but maybe you don't need one to use their machine? Not sure what else goes on in here? They use to give you maps & books with hotel & travel info. when you ask for certain states, if you were traveling to them. Stopped in here last week as they have a DMV kiosk machine to register your vehicle. Super simple and very easy to use. The best part is that I don't have to go to the DMV and wait for eternity. This place is convenient to where I live and I was able to walk in, conduct my business and exit within 5 minutes. This would never happen at the DMV (LOL). I have a membership here as well. It is a good value for what I pay annually. We have only had to use roadside assistance a couple of times in all the years but taking a road trip knowing I have this coverage gives me peace of mind. AAA offers maps, guidebooks and will assist you with car insurance, home insurance and trip planning. I also receive monthly discounts for various companies and businesses. read more

I walked into the office just to inquire about notary service. Went to the reception desk told the woman what I needed, and she asked if I had the documents with me, which I did. Well 15 minutes later I walked out to my truck, with 2 documents that were singed , notarized and ready to mail to the law office. They had even made me 2 copies for my personal records. It was easy peasy lemon squeeze... A nd since I am a member of AAA it only cost me $6. Things just don't go down that smoothly with anything these days. One of the worst experiences since Covid with the travel side of this office. After Covid we received credits for land and transfers from a cancelled cruise. Through out the years the company that aaa uses would let the agent know what was happening. Royal Caribbean would let me know. Through two years this office bounced peoples accounts through three agents due to whatever reason. We were never notified of these unless we would contact them to find out we were bounced to a new agent. December of 2022 I had to contact there company that they use only to be told that the agent is one of the worst with communication and was no longer with this branch. When were you going to let us know. They extended our credits again to what I was told was June of 2024. Then we were given someone new and told them this is what we are doing and this is when we are going. Never heard from her again. Guess why. No longer with the company. October 2023 we start looking. Contact them December 2023 only to find out my credits have expired as of the 1st of December. Thanks for the heads up. No communication from this branch. Be careful. read more

First.....I was a member as a teen but terminated my high cost insurance with AAA during the Great Recession when only based on my credit score (zero accidents AND tickets since I was 17). I was openly humiliated by a young employee who said my credit score out loud back in 2014. FYI, my parents and grandparents were AAA members. So, I went home, researched rates. Since I'm a veteran and disabled one at that....I left AAA. I only use their road side assistance but I'm considering terminating that based on three friends who've had to wait a few hours to 24 hour service in the past few months in the SF Bay Area east bay Danville A few days ago, I stood outside the door for ten minutes at least in blazing heat with a mask on. Two of eight employees were assisting two customers. One had mask on properly and the second was around her middle lips as she talked out loud and her virus spray was spewed. No one of course asked her to correct her mask. Undisciplined society. So finally a employee who hadn't been doing anything came out as us now five men were in line distancing except for the 6'4 guy who bragged about refusing to wear a mask until someone would tell him. His mask was in his left hand. I guess the line looked bad for the overworked employees inside. So, I needed a tour book. I had card and ID for her to see. She punched in the wrong number initially. Told me I'm not in the system. (I had just been there three weeks prior for similar and didn't receive the same attitude). She asked how long I've been with AAA. Prior time I was asked when I was traveling (right after they saw my address and gave tour books). STRANGE. So I asked her, please just type in the correct number. She glared a second. AWWW, I'm not putting up with another poor experience please. Here's your medicine back. She then asks, "confirm your address please." I looked around, (I'm thinking ok angry fellow senior citizen I'm going to tell the unmasked other customer my address and other masked avenger)....I said, it's on my drivers license and actually matches the AAA screen address I'm looking at. Are you done playing. Can I receive my tour book now? She hands it I exit. I walk past the line of five men. The tall guy still has no mask on and still carrying on like an immature teenager. Dear AAA......your lack of confidentiality and poor customer service is still as strong as it was in 2014. I needed an international drivers permit for some upcoming travel, so I downloaded the application from the AAA website and headed into the AAA Summerlin branch for the first time. The AAA branch offers so many services! They were able to do my passport photos for the IDP for $9, they offer notary services, and the entire process was a symphony of teamwork that exceeded all of my expectations. I was able to get a membership, get my IDP, and learn more about AAA in less than 15 minutes. I never felt rushed, but instead felt that my time was being valued. I highly recommend AAA. Beware you have far better options elsewhere. Last year I went in to the branch store to pay my auto-insurance for the entire year, in one payment. I asked them what kind of discount they offered for a a full years payment. Their response: a four dollar discount. At that time I didn't feel like dealing with it and just payed the total amount. However, this year I switched policies. I ended up saving 400$ for the entire year. I literally saved 40% more money with another company. Also, they offered ~ 200$ off for paying the entire year at once. Don't let these people scam you. You have better options I promise you. My father recently left as well (he went to Geico). Update: I ended up switching to Root insurance where I pay 312$ for six months of liability insurance. It's an online insurance company that's super easy for everyone wondering where they should go. The business owner responded to me, but it was already too late when their staff screwed me over. You need to talk to your staff not me. These shady business practices will eventually put you out of business because we have far more options as customers. Best of luck scammers! read more

I came in to use the DMV kiosk to re-new my registration and all the employees were super nice. They all greeted me with a smile offered to help me, but the kiosk is simple and easy to use. They even offered me water. I got my decal in less than 2 minutes! Definitely beats going to the DMV. Fast and convenient. read more

I have been a member of AAA for over 40 years. This office is the closest to where I live. I agree with J.D.'s list of "I can't"s so I'm a member. I've been here for some tour books, but the reason I came today was to renew my car's registration for another year. This office has a DMV kiosk. I stopped and had the car smogged a few minutes before and then I drove to the AAA office. I scanned my renewal registration card, answered a few questions using the touch screen, and I left in about two minutes with my new plate sticker. No online renewal, no waiting in the mail, just pure convenience. That's 5 stars in my book any day! read more

What makes things great is when you meet people who are truly good at what they do and are incredibly kind at the same time. My experience at this AAA office was great. I have had California AAA Roadside for 13 years. I had checked their insurances rates before but they never compared to my current policy until recently when State Farm's rates increased so I went to the office and signed up. I was told by the agent that she would fax my cancellation letter to State Farm. I called my State Farm agent the following day and he had not received the fax. I then called customer service and they, not my agent, faxed over the cancellation form. Soon after I confirmed that it had been received. On top of that I signed up for SMARTtrek for the additional discounts. The agent told me that my CA account would transfer over to a NV account. What she failed to tell me was this would not take place until my renewal was due in mid 2017. So now because my accounts won't link I have zero online access related to anything to do with my account until that time. So if I happen to get an alert I will be notified by email and have to call to find out what it is. The day I signed up for this policy the agent was celebrating her 25th anniversary with the company, so maybe her mind was elsewhere but as a customer these are not issues I should have had to waste my time calling to get answers to and dealing with customer service. I'm not going to pretend that I'm one of those guys who can fix cars....because I can't. - I can replace a flat tire with a spare. - I can jump start my car, assuming there's another car to get a jump from. - I can't tow my own car. - I can't fix a blown radiator. - I don't carry 2 spares for 2 flat tires. - I can't replace a busted timing belt. - Beyond a dead battery, I can't determine what's wrong with my car if it won't start. The list of Can'ts are just some of the reasons why I have AAA and have used them to bail me out of those situations over the years. 90% of the time they're responsive and show up within 30 minutes. Will I use them again? I hope not, but I feel more secure as a member. read more

My errand to get an International Driver's License was attended to immediately, and took no longer than the actual time for me to fill out the form, make my $15 payment, and have the document printed out. The local employees of AAA (aka CSAA No. Calif & Nevada) are really quite nice and helpful too HOWEVER the AAA billing system 'SUCKS!' Sometimes you get your bill and sometimes it simply doesn't arrive. When it does arrive they quote your total payment due amount and then offer other payment periods; quarterly and sometimes even monthly. They even tell you that for each INSTALLMENT payment you make they charge an extra $5.00 service charge. Still pretty good. What they do NOT tell you is that even when you pay your total payment due (that is your FULL bill) THEY STILL ADD A $5.00 SERVICE CHARGE! When you call to complain, as I did, and got to speak to Supr. Chris Wells in Oklahoma, I was simply told that "that is how AAA works - we can send you a check for the $5.00 service charge and it will arrive in a week or two and then of course you have to take that to the bank to get this 'Service Charge' returned!" When asked to please refund this sneaky overcharge to my credit card Mr Wells said we just don't do that!!! That's all, just expect a sneaky $5.00 service charge that may or may not be refunded to you unless you notice and call them on it!!! read more

aaa/csaa auto insurance is a defective product . a word from the wise When you shop to buy a product you look at the benefits the product will provide. Then you make your decision Of course your decision can be swayed be the insurance sales people called agents . They explain the insurance concept and show you information about how each product can solve the problem when filing a claim, But agents dont have on their welcome to our insurance brocher or they themselves wont tell you is their are actual customer complaint graphs , websites and blogs (that you need to read ) trying to spread the information to people having to buy (forced by our goverment /states ,dmv)auto insurance complaints . Complaints after complaints making sure that you understand that you can lose out you hard earned income money and all the interest you pay the bank when buy a car. when you have an accident. The problems that arise are . insurance controling every $ they spend fixing the problem/repair and dening some of the repair . Controling how long you can have your rental and dening you the full car rental coverage Totaling your car. Dening you , cause you dont have proper coverage. Dening you cause your damage was not related to your accident. Dening you cause the problem already existed before the accident. Dening you cause the accident was your fault. And raising your payments when you were at fault even if you couldnt prevent it. Even a policeman can write up a wrong report cause of bad information and blame you for the accident and make your insurance payments go up. And still many more . Auto insurance companies control how much they will pay the repair shop by giving them insurance job's . These shops that except these jobs are getting paid little to nothing for their work but take the jobs to supplement their income . Insurances adjusters sent from your insurance claim have take look at the damage and give the estimate to the shop .at the point of meeting the owner of the shop and the adjuster becomes friends with the owner of the shop . They take care of business but also laugh it up and can become real good friends. So if I have an accident and the insurance company Tells me to take my car to the an auto shop I preferr or take the car to one of their guaranteed shops. BE CAREFULL This means the auto insurance company is making you do the work and YOUR deciding what to do . INSTEAD OF THEM. Thats a trick They should take your car and have it fixed and deliver it to you ready and done . Instead what happens is nobody ever drives you car to evaluate the condition of damage . Your the only one knows that damage condition now your stuck with dealing with the body shop employees and explaining to them whats wrong with you car But in the back of their mind the body shop estimator already knows what is going to be excecpted by your insurance adjuster . So the body shop estimator wont write down all that you see wrong with your car after being in an accident. He will say .I will look at it . So not everything will get repaired all the time when its time to pick your car up. So lets pretend your picking up your car at the body shop and you notice something isnt right you complain and the body shops employee or oener that you hire says to you not all repairs were accepted by your auto insurance Call them and complain to them . Then the insurance adjuster say its been denied we can only fix some of it. We will send you a letter explaining So now your complaint to the body shop who fixed your your broken damaged car is not responsible for making your car run like it used to run before the accident .so the complaint has be with your auto insurance that will not spend anymore than thats on their budget to fix and repair your particular car. So you lose out. The body shop and the auto insurance adjuster teamed up against you without you knowing . (Cause now their friends)You have no control of the process. Only a black hat team thats works out of an office controlling the system against you.what the agent selling you auto insurance didnt tell you that there are all kinds of ways to lose out If you try to fight your own Insurance company forget it .they will fight you tooth and nail and the web reports say that insurance companies always win against their customers They hire high $ attorney's that make our regular attorney's performance sick. I your fighting and complaining against your Auto Insurance companies they prefer you to sue them in court cause they know they will win. Thats how they are geared. You dont see that on the brochure because if you did see that you wouldnt buy it . What does the word INSURANCE mean? read more

I used this address as it is closest to my home and the location where my battery went dead. Yes, sure enough, my two year old battery failed after the headlights were inadvertently left on for an hour while parked. I was sitting in the car and did not notice them as it was daylight and, of course, I'd turned off the ignition. So here I was, now in the darkness, when the car would not start. I called the AAA number and gave them a few details that the operator needed. Then, she said the road service had been notified and they would be out shortly. The next thing, I received a text message on my iPhone saying the truck would arrive in # minutes and actually it arrived in half that time or like fifteen minutes! Wow! Then the uniformed technician in a AAA truck, promptly jumped started the car and kept it running for five minutes to make sure it would start, which it did. He then checked out the condition of the battery which turned out to be good as new. That was it and I was off, greatly relieved not to be stuck in a county park alone, begging for a jump from somebody. This was excellent service and what I really expect from AAA. PS I hope AAA reaches out to Garth of the review below, one day before mine, where he gave the one star. I've worked for an insurance company and, unfortunately, had too many claims, so I know how they work and his complaint is either completely invalid or there was a real miscommunication between him and his adjuster. I mean, the adjuster agreed there was $502 in damages after his deductible so the policyholder went out and got the repair done. I know companies work in different ways as to how you are going to get paid or have the repair shop be paid, and feel that it is likely this polIcy holder misunderstood the instructions which could have been a little bit different then he thought. However, if all the facts are correctly stated in his complaint, AAA should have the ability to work something out with him and just pay the $502 instead of ruining good will. If he had be stupid, and tried to collect for the entire paint job instead of the $502, then I could understand a rejection of the claim. By the way, my only connection with AAA is my twenty year membership and it is not for Auto and Homeowner. That is with GEICO for many more years. This agent has been with AAA for many years, and her experience was evident from the very first time we spoke on the phone. She ensured that our homeowners' insurance policy was exactly what we needed, and then wrote our auto policies as well. The absolute best part: I didn't know that the DMV here takes appointments for registering your car. Not only did Bernadette inform me of this, but she sent over a list of requirements for car registration and licensing AND she personally went online and booked an appointment for me at the DMV. No waiting in line! Even the DMV employee was impressed by this level of customer service.
