He explained that adding 5% over the factory privacy glass would make the rear windows extremely dark and suggested that 15% would provide a better match to 5% on the front windows. I appreciated the honest advice and his willingness to share his expertise without any pressure. In the end, I decided to go with 5% all the way around because that was the look I wanted, and he was absolutely right. It is extremely dark, but exactly what I was looking for. The customer service was just as impressive as the quality of the work. Although my appointment was scheduled for 2:30 PM, Yosup accommodated my request to drop the truck off early in the morning so I could pick it up after work. He even finished the job ahead of schedule. When I contacted him for an estimate, out of dozens of businesses, he's still got the lowest price and best work and quality materials so he's solid in my book (3M Ceramic IR). I'd recommend him anytime. When I contacted him for retint, the process was easy. Told him what I wanted, he had close availability and took around 2-3 hours. I changed it up to 25% front, 70% clear windshield with a 4 inch 5% black tint strip on the top of the windshield. Solid work.

After several chats, then a costly ($1,582.45) visit to Tesla Santa Clara-Northwestern Parkway, Fernando installed a new sheet of Expel XR Black Ceramic to my new rear backlite glass for no charge, as promised. As first reported, my rear defroster ribbons were damaged pre-install. This Tesla service center claims this to be wear and tear for a 2018 M3, even when simply cleaning the rear glass. Online chats and Tesla forums will show that some Tesla service centers will cover this defroster failure for no charge as "goodwill" or "defect," -- just not "warranty." My apologies to Fernando as when he said "cleaning," he really meant a simple cleaning of the glass prior to install! It could have happened to anyone -- including me. It was not clear to me at the time what could have happened to cause this type of damage. My bad for the misunderstanding. (I suppose the takeaway here is it's best to get your car tinted when the rear defroster is new, not after years of sitting in the sun.) And, after further review of my original invoice, Fernando did give me a cash discount as a gesture of goodwill. I look forward to returning to GSAG&T to get my other vehicles tinted.

And that's just for the adults!! ;) After getting the keys to our new minivan, we headed straight to Eighty8 Auto Customs, which prides its business on over a decade of auto expertise and military-level attention to detail. The owner, T, is a marine and combat veteran. He's honest, knowledgeable, helpful in recommendations, and extremely skilled in his craft. He shared the options for tint and after hearing his non-salesy, low-pressure spiel, we decided on the Llumar IRX tint. This was the flagship tint and maintains maximum cool temperature of the interior. Although it is the priciest tint, we decided that it was like investing in a Yeti cooler vs. and off-brand. Buy once, cry once!! The workmanship of the tint was incredible. Everything was hand-cut (vs. machine) for a truly customized install. The interior does feel much cooler than before and even though we opted for the darkest tint (5%), we could still clearly see from the inside out just as easily as before. I highly recommend Eighty8 Auto Customs. The owner, T, takes a lot of pride in his work and avoids any shortcuts. We are now an extremely happy minivan family thanks to our very first (and most important) modification!!!

I recently got my windows tinted at Aaaas Window Tint, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience. They easily had the most competitive pricing in the area, and setting everything up was incredibly easy. I just messaged them online, confirmed the quote, and booked my date with absolutely no hassle. The entire installation took about 3 hours. I planned ahead and brought a book and some work with me, which worked out perfectly. While the waiting room itself is on the smaller side, it's very cozy and well-accommodated. They provided a fridge full of drinks and had Netflix ready on the TV, which made the time fly by. Huge shoutout to Alex, who was incredibly professional and made it so easy to select the exact tint levels to match my vision. Most importantly, the quality of the work is top-tier. I had an absolutely great experience at AAAA's Window Tint! As a returning customer I can say they never disappoint! Scheduling was a breeze thanks to their excellent communication, and they clearly explain all the window tinting packages. Great prices more than reasonable and high quality materials with professional work. On the day of my appointment, the team was incredibly nice and dedicated. They took the time to walk me through the entire process, even showing me examples on other cars and providing samples so I could see different shade levels on my car. Instead, I stuck around his business catching up on Lioness series. Back to the work, Hayk did a spectacular job with the window tinting of all windows including rear, all 4 sides, front windshield and also the sunroof. Hayk was a consummate professional, humble, warm and welcoming, very thorough in addressing my few questions, ensuring I was comfortable, offered coffee but I don't drink coffee and putting me at ease with the best choice tint for all windows. He helped select the right Rayno material and shade options for my requirements - carbon on windows and nano ceramic on windshield. It takes about 3.5 to 4 hours to complete the work and you can wait in a nice waiting area in the shop. I highly recommend him for all South Bay car tinting needs. Note there might a slight language barrier but in this age of Google translate and AI chatbots, this is a minor issue. It's the quality of work and pricing that matters, and Hayk shines in both.
