The front desk was helpful in answering my questions and showing me how dark tint values I was considering would be on actual cars. The application was quick and for the most part perfect the first time around. My rear windshield had a few tears in the film, and I brought it back to get it replaced with no problem. They also put my dashcam back for me. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. You're paying a premium, but they take care of you. Before booking with Mr.Tint I did a lot of Reddit research & I also talked to some people who had taken their cars to Mr. Tint before & they all highly recommended that if I wanted the tint for my vehicle to be left spotless & perfect that his work is worth the price. So I booked the appointment & this is where I want to thank Mr. Tint, because one week before I had to take my car in, my car started having issues where the dealership kept my car overnight, I called Mr. Tint & told them what happened & they reschedule me. But then the dealership, told me it would take another week, so a total of two weeks, so I had to call Mr. Tint again apologizing & I didn't want to keep wasting their time so I said they could cancel or charge me a cancellation fee, but to my surprise they said, "It's no problem, we can reschedule you, I'm sorry you haven't gotten your car back, with dealerships you never know. Let's shoot for two weeks from now & hopefully you have it back by then." I said, "Thank you so much. And I'm so sorry." "No problem we'll see you in two weeks." When I arrived I had an idea of the percentage which was 35% but they convinced me to get 15% XLR ceramic tint in the back to block out more of the sun, & they even showed me their own personal car in order to feel more comfortable with it, how it looks dark from the outside but you can see the clearly from the inside, which I'm so happy they did. I kinda wish I had done darker in the front windows now with 25% rather than 35% because you can still be seen from the outside but at least I'm less worried about being stopped by the cops. BEWARE!! I have a brand new GR Rav 4 and chose this shop assuming it was reputable. I paid before noticing that my car was still in the shop and not in the parking lot like the rest of that cars that were done. They chipped the paint and didn't even attempt to hide it. There was no offer to compensate or repair. They just said they will look at the footage and will contact me tomorrow. Don't pay the premium prices here. There has been no accountability. I left with a handshake assuming they will at least reach out. All I can see is these chips when I get in the car. I'm a small business owner and have been using a different company for all of my cars and work trucks. I was referred by a friend to go here and wanted to try someone closer and now I will telling be everyone I know how this shop works. Do not get anything done here. If they scratch your car with tint work, how well can they wrap? I am not one to ever complain about bad service and I don't haggle. I pay for quality. Thank you to Mr. Tint's team. I did a front 30% and back 15% IRX Ceramic with Llumar for my RDX. They did a fantastic job and explain everything in detail to me what they will be doing. Special thanks to Evelyn for being super patient with me for a couple of days and explaining the whole tint chart as they don't carry CTX. So I had to go with IRX which they told me will be the same price as if they took a CTX, so it made more sense to just go max with IRX. I've had Llmar before on my previous car and it's an amazing Tint to have especially in the summertime. I did have previous tints that were tinted by the previous owner when I got this car, so I appreciate the team for taking the time to remove the back so it does not damage the defog lines. When I messaged several businesses about window tinting for our new car, all but one of them responded basically the same way: by sending me nothing more than a dollar amount for "a tint job." Only one of them took a considerably more intelligent approach: "We'd like to invite you to visit our showroom," said Evelyn at Mr. Tint, "so we can explain all your options to you, show you examples and answer all your questions." This made so much sense because, as I soon learned, there is no such thing as a generic tint job. There are different qualities of tinting material and different percentages of tint. Some people don't seem to care but for us it is important to follow legal guidelines, so as not to be stopped by police for failure to observe them. At the showroom, we were fortunate to get a detailed presentation by the manager, Terry, who patiently offered us expert recommendations based on his many years of experience. On the day of the job, after leaving our car at Mr. Tint for four hours, we took a bus on Stevens Creek to Valley Fair for lunch and to withdraw the cash required at the B of A there, to receive the discount for the work. From start to finish, Terry and his team did a superb job for us. We were very impressed throughout by their courtesy and professionalism. To a person, everyone we interacted with there was exceedingly pleasant and helpful. After driving back home, we noticed an issue with the back camera (it had become loose), which had been taken down to do the tinting. Terry and a friendly employee promptly and cheerfully resolved this issue for us, to our complete satisfaction. Original: 2 I just want to start by saying that Mr. Tint did a fantastic job installing tint on my Tesla M3. The quality of work was impeccable! My only gripe was the deceptive quoting process. I've attached photos of the quote and the final receipt. They initially quoted me for "Full Car (Exclude the Front Windshield)" and "The Front Windshield". Any normal person would think that that means essentially all of the glass on the car is being tinted. Turns out, "Full Car (Exclude the Front Windshield)" means Full Car (Exclude the Front Windshield AND Sunroof". I felt very deceived and just accepted the $250 extra charge for the sunroof because they already had my deposit and I already made my Saturday free for the installation. This made their quote roughly $150-200 more than a shop I would have gone to. If you plan to get your vehicle tinted at this shop I can't stress how important it is to get a clear quote from them. Tell them to be specific and smooth out any uncertainties that you may have. Personally I would never come back here. Bad business practices :/ Edit: 4 Daniel, the owner of Mr. Tint, contacted me regarding this issue and acknowledged the mistake on their end. Best place to get some tint! First time we went here was in 2015 to get a tint job for our 2012 Honda Accord. It's 10 years later and the tint is holding up like the day it was installed. Thirteen years ago I had my new car rear windows tinted, headlights, front bumper and part of hood protection film applied. Over so many years I haven't seen any bubble, no peer-off, nothing. Recently I needed to re-apply the protection film on one headlight, which was scratched by a car lightly backed into that light. Mr. Tint peeled the old film, applied a new film, perfectly done. Not only that, but they did even better than 13 years ago by not cutting the "ribs" from the headlight housing. This way the film is more of a complete piece. I appreciated that. I would of given 5 stars but unfortunately I will never use their business again. The warning for customers is simple. If they mess your vehicle up, you are on the hook for the repair, if you have a high end vehicle definitely think three times, if they mess your vehicle up you are on the hook for the repair. My vehicle suffered damage to the exterior window trim around one of the windows they tinted, they told me they would correct their problem with their work, they failed and gas lighted me for over 3 months, after repeated attempts and in person conversations they simply waited for me to go away and that's how they roll from my experience. I will always warn anybody and everybody to stay as far away as possible or run the risk of a damaged vehicle but here is where it's really wrong! I ASKED BEFORE they started their work, if they were sure they could tint this newer vehicle and was given a confident YES...I get the vehicle back and it was obvious it was not correct, I even had to use gorilla tape to keep the part down that was now protruding up. I was given the run around in a very "polite" way...The dealer bailed me out and that bailed them out. Be warned! read more
