This company resurfaced my garage floor on May 15, 2020 with a penetrating sealer under a decorative coating. All was fine until after a rain storm in early January 2022 when a car with wet tires was parked in the garage overnight. The next day, I discovered that the coating had bubbled underneath the left rear tire of the car. Within a few days, the floor coating disintegrated where the bubbles had been, resulting in half a dozen holes in the coating. I left a voicemail for ********************* on January 7, which was not returned. I called again and spoke with ***** about the problem. He said that it sounds like a problem that they should come back to repair, and he said to send photos of the holes in the coating. I sent the photos in late January, as requested. Since that time, I have left three voicemail messages for *****, none of which have been returned. At this point I have concluded that he suggested they would come back to repair the floor merely as a way to end the phone call, intending to then avoid further contact with me. The address for AAAdvantage Concrete Coatings printed on the business card (9121 Atlanta Ave. #737, Huntington Beach, CA) is actually just a mailbox. The address shown on the AAAdvantage Concrete Coatings website (16442 Gothard Street, "G", Huntington Beach, CA) is actually a former location that the company vacated more than 2 years ago. Certainly, any garage floor coating should be resistant to occasional water brought in by cars after a rainstorm. The floor lasted about a year and eight months before starting to deteriorate from being wet. Very disappointing. Even more disappointing is the failure of ********************* to communicate with me regarding the problem. I recommend that people go elsewhere for garage floor resurfacing. read more

Steve Nieri accepted the job at our condo knowing first hand what we needed him to accomplish regarding the floor. We explained to him the history of the moisture intrusion we had been dealing with. The goal was to block any water/moisture intrusion. We asked if he knew of a product that would solve the problem. He explained to us that he had to test the concrete slab to see if it was compatible with the material he wanted to use. We agreed to the testing and at the completion of the testing he told us that the moisture barrier would be the appropriate one to use in this case. He never mentioned that there was any contamination in the concrete. After contacting the manufacturer of the moisture barrier, we discovered that contamination of the concrete may have been the problem which caused the bubbling of the floor. Steve never mentioned any contamination! Why would he use that product if it wasn't going to work? After the appearance of the bubbling we contacted him. He did not respond right away and when he finally responded, he agreed to send someone to repair those areas. When completed, those areas did not match the rest of the floor. When we complained he said he wouldn't expect us to accept that and once again sent someone to address the problem and by that time there were more areas that continued to bubble. After the second time he confessed to us that he would never be able to match the concrete. Communication with him was never easy. He took weeks to respond to our emails, voicemails and texts. Obviously we were misled. The product he used failed and we were left with a brand new floor that continued to produce bubbling throughout the property. The condo was listed for sale and due to the problems with the floor which was fully disclosed to the buyer, we reduced the selling price by $25,000.00. I think that Steve Nieri was not experienced or knowledgeable enough to resolve the problem we hired him for. He accepted a job that he was not qualitied for. We trusted him but were completely fooled into thinking that he was qualified for this type of job. We went along with whatever he recommended. We just wanted what was promised and what we paid him for. He did not accept responsibility for a failed job. read more

I would definitely NOT recommend this company! As the Realtor for a client of Steve's I had to constantly change dates and plans to sell their home because of a "Bubbling" problem with the floor that needed repair and his inability to address it in a timely matter. When it was finally finished it did not match the rest of the floor, even after several attempts. It was difficult enough to show and, of course, disclose and explain to prospective buyers why it did not match, and then it got worse because it continued to "bubble". Because of all this the Seller's had to lower the price of the home a considerable amount in order to sell it. read more

I'm so very happy with my new garage floor. The two guys showed up on time and got started immediately. They worked hard all day and paid attention to all the small details that I wanted with out even mentioning them. They were very pr oud of their work which makes a job look as good as it can, in a garage especially. I highly recommend them and have already passed on their contact information to my neighbors. Steve and his crew are top notch! I hired them to transform my 1430 sq ft airplane hangar at Fullerton Airport. They fit my job in the same week and the work performed was exceptional. They were not my cheapest quote, but did come down a bit to get the job. You get what you pay for in life, example here, they did 2 top coats of clear whereas the other contractor only quoted one. Because I park an airplane on here they rightfully wanted a stronger finish. Id recommend them for any residential or commercial job. It's been exactly 5 years since my epoxy flooring was installed in my garage in April 2015. The flakes are beginning to chip off in certain locations and exposing the original concrete for no particular reason though. Keep in mind that I do not drive cars into the garage frequently.. maybe 30 times within a year tops. I don't use it often to park a car due to a narrow driveway entrance, so it's mostly just foot traffic. I pressure wash it about 4x a year but with a 40* bit which is what you'd use for cars anyways, nothing too strong. I forget how much I paid.. think it was around $2k.. for 5 years.. I guess that's not too bad. But I can't imagine how long it would last before chipping away if you were to use the garage to park cars daily. FYI! read more

After reading Steve's response to my review, it is important for consumers to know that we did get the concrete tested prior to starting the project for him to determine the course of treatment. After the bubbles appeared, he took a sample again to have it tested. He said "good news, it isn't sulfite/sulfates?" After he repaired areas that bubbled, new bubbles appeared and we called him once again. He said we needed to have it retested and I asked him when we could meet. He never answered my texts or calls. So.... who is negligent? We have filed a complaint to the Contractors Board. read more

Called today for a basic estimate. He verbally provided basic pricing for a 2 car garage. When I told him that their pricing was too high for me, I inquired the reasoning for high pricing. At that point, he was very abrupt and no longer wanted to speak to me about details as to why they charge so much. It's bad business practice to blow off any customer. I'm so happy with my garage floor! We moved into a new house and the previous owners left a mess of a floor. I called a few companies and AAAdvantage was competitive with pricing and fit me into their schedule the next day after I called! Other companies needed two or three days to complete the job but AAAdvantage uses an accelerant that gets the job done in hours. Two men came out and didn't complain about having to move a huge stack of slate tiles off of the floor. They used a diamond grinder for 2 hours to prep the floor. We hired this firm to sand, stain and seal our concrete driveway and to power wash our stone walkway and epoxy our garage floor. They did the latter first and an awesome job. They sealed the stone and that looked great too ... then the problems started with the driveway. Within a week of completing the work, the material bubbled and peeled. They were immediately notified and took several weeks to offer a solution. We suggested they 'test' the new material and it, too, failed. They were immediately contacted and have not returned any calls in the 3 weeks since we sent them photos of the failed 'solution'. We've written to notice them of our intent to hire another contractor and have requested a refund for the portion of the project that failed. NOTHING! Nice guy and the epoxy looks great, but his business practice to ignore clients, the problems he creates for them and refusal to refund their money ranks him at the bottom of our list.
