The app said I couldn't pick up until 5pm, and since it was 11am, I attempted to call the location to inquire if I could pick the truck up early, and they said yes, so I proceeded to rent the truck directly with them (I told them I was already trying to rent it via the Home Depot app.). We went through the rental agreement over the phone and when we came to the price, they said it would be over $90 for a 3 hour truck rental alone and mileage was extra. I mentioned the Home Depot price and was told that they were charging me extra for renting it for business purposes. Home Depot has my business information, and they didn't ask for double the regular rental price because of it. I asked if they would put the rental as "personal" instead of business, and they said they wouldn't honor the Home Depot price. I'm a Federal Fraud Auditor, and I find this alarming. I've already contacted Home Depot corporate, and I'll be speaking with the local vendor relations person shortly. I have now rented a 15' box truck from True Value in Cotati for $39.95 for the day plus mileage. I recommend renting here instead of Penske.

Needless to say, Jeff and Denise were wonderful. Denise walked me through all of the paperwork and made sure the RV was prepped for 2 kids and 2 adults. Games, linens, movies, the whole shebang. I had many questions and she didn't skip a beat. Upon pick up the RV and returning the RV, Jeff was the man. He walked me through all of the functions, gave solid pointers and made himself available throughout the 2 night trip. I had to contact him a number of times the first night and he gracefully answered my questions without making me feel like a dummy. The cost was reasonable, no hidden fees, I was able to use my company to cover the RV Rental Insurance. Proximity to Doran Beach is another bonus! Round trip was about 50 miles total, so money spent on gas was only $32, much better than the $300 I usually spend when I rent out of Sacramento for the same camping trip. Our glamping experience was effortless and flawless from start to finish. We chose our location…read more(although you can have them choose and book for you too) and the rest was done for us. We arrived at a beautifully set up glamping experience with the airstream fully furnished mindfully with eco friendly items and just what we would need for our trip. Outside we also got to enjoy a relaxing sitting area with jute rug and fire pit. Upon departure we left everything as we found it and Jaime and Kevin picked up the airstream as easily as they delivered it. Would highly recommend for a family camping trip, couples getaway, or even a solo retreat in the woods. Will definitely book with them again!

The attendant told me that the trucks just get dropped off and sometimes they go through them but not always. I rented a truck from these guys a couple months ago, everything went fine, so when I needed…read moreanother truck to pick up some large equipment, I decided to use them again. I got there on time for my rental, but their power was out. Not a big deal. It took 30 minutes to pick up the rental, but that wasn't a problem. The problem was this pathetic Snowflake they have working there. I rented an appliance dolly for $20 even though that's a rip off...I left the blankets at $8 apiece. The poor guy didn't know the difference between a standard dolly and an appliance dolly. Even though he'd been working there for some time. This was not the problem. The problem started with Snowflake telling me he asked me what kind of dolly I wanted and I told him repeatedly, yes and I said the appliance dolly. It's not a big deal the poor dimwit didn't know the difference. The problem was that he just didn't admit such or say he misunderstood and instead, ragged on repeatedly blaming me for his ignorance. I finally told him to just get the other dolly type and he told me to come get it myself. To be fair to Snowflake, he did have a moment of sanity and bring out the dolly while I was getting the truck open. I come back later with the truck, and right away Snowflake starts in on me again...you can't make up how butt hurt this poor sap was from my calling him out for not knowing one dolly from another. Right away, it's "do you have the keys"? in a snooty tone. I told him I left them in the truck so he could check the gas and he starts to huff and puff. I go get the keys and he follows me out, looks the truck over and then says "I thought you said you left the keys in the truck. I told him I had and went out and got them for him. Here it is 6 hours later, and these goobers still haven't paid their electric bill, as they are the only ones in the neighborhood without power. So Snowflake hands me a tablet and tells me to put my email in instead of doing his job and asking for it to key it in. His cheap tablet doesn't have a text change key like every phone and tablet in the world and no @ button on the screen. I'm sure you can guess how Snowflake decided to rag on me because I couldn't figure out how to use his cheap junk in 2 seconds...this after it took him 15 minutes to figure out how to use his own equipment since they had no power. This guys actions would get him fired from any reputable business on EARTH. He's a total loser who does not understand the meaning of the words "customer service". So , after I paid, I told the prick to stick it, as in I won't be coming back to this dump, and left. Over all customer service A+…read more Ladies in the office explained pricing and even showed me benefits of creating an account with them! HUGE PLUS for FOOD TRUCKS!!!! The real STANDOUT was Jim who filled my propane! Super friendly with everybody that came up. I told him it was my first name getting propane with blue Star and he told me I made a good choice because not only do they have good pricing, but all the servicemen are knowledgeable and know what they're doing! Love the confidence of that comment! He unloaded my hundred pound propane tank filled it up fast and even help me put it back in my truck! In checking around, I found that Blue Star would recycle it. When I got there their employee named Jim informed me that the tank was still serviceable but would require a inspection to certify it for another 5 years of use, and they had better prices than where I had been going. I was prepared to pay 60 plus dollars for a new tank. He could well have just sold me a new tank, but instead saved me 35.00 by providing excellent customer service. Blue Star now has a devoted new customer. This is the kind of customer experience that makes a good business GREAT!
