Highly recommend, seriously! Good car mechanics are hard to find, IMO, but Reuben and the team were fabulous. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE AND GO HERE! They "fixed" (rebuilt) my transmission in Sept 22, less than 6 months later it faulted out AGIAN. My car is being held hostage now. They have had it for over a month and a half and everytime I talk to them I get told 2 weeks. I have tried talking, my number has been blocked I have contacted the BBB, they would not respond. I have contacted corporate, now I'm getting ignored. I talked with them again today, I get told, "I used to have sympathy for you and your sob story but since you've taken these measures and trying to take my business down, I don't anymore, now you have a real sob story. My son saved up his money to buy a truck. This Aamco location had one that they had rebuilt the transmission in and not gotten paid. They sold it to him as is at a good price. The reality is that everybody has a bad day. Everybody messes something up once in a while. You see who people really are when they deal with those situations. After taking title to the truck, we realized that something wasn't right in the transmission. We took it back to them, and they checked it out. There was a part that had not been installed correctly during the rebuild, and it had caused some other damage. They pulled the transmission back out and took care of the problem. They stood by their work, which means a lot more on the rare occasions when something does go wrong. Thanks for making sure my son has a reliable truck to get him started. read more

They have provided the greatest service to rebuild my transmission! Only charged me $6800.00 and when I picked it up it wouldn't even drive out of the parking lot. I walked inside and asked them to give me a play by play of how they test drove the vehicle when it won't even go in reverse. Instantly they became defensive, and they fixed the immediate problem after every computer code was blowing up and they cleared all codes. I drove it down the road and all these other codes starting warning me I didn't have any engine coolant or brake fluid and then I wrecked, and it died! I feel like I got my full $6800.00 worth in repairs and so thankful for their services!!!! read more

Drop my car off because the a/c stopped working. I told them I replaced the engine fan control module last time, then the a/c stopped working. I tried a few more modules and it did not help. I got a call from them and was told it was $741.22 to replace the radiator fan assembly. I declined the work and went to pick up my car and pay the $125 diagnostic fee. While I was there, I was notified the a/c belt was torn up. On the back of the quote, it says recommended a/c compressor belt, but it was not a part of the quote. I went home and checked way down to the a/c belt and it was completely gone. I bought a belt and replaced it that evening. The a/c works perfectly now. I called the next morning to tell them what I found and wanted to know why they quoted me $741.22 when all it was a $25 belt. The response I got was" so what are you trying to tell me, who knows how long the belt will last, so you're the mechanic you tell me the last thing he said set me off. Because of his ignorance it could have cost me $800 with the belt added in. This service advisor needs retraining and some customer service classes for sure. They could have just told me it was a belt and I would have had them replace it for what I assume would be $125, but at least I would not have had to do the work. Instead, I spent $125 + $25 and my own labor. read more

I called for John and another guy answered the phone. After researching what a fair price would be to replace a water pump on my CRV (roughly $340 in labor & $120 in parts), Keeping in mind i was already offered the job for $480 total right where i was, this guy gave me a price of $1,200 dollars. BE CAREFUL WHO YOU REFER TO THESE GUYS!!! That was really uncool, AND i couldn't imagine what would have happened to someone who didn't do the research first. I took my car in for transmission issues. When I pick my car up my steering wheel was not centered, pulling to the right side, squeaking noise and when I turn a corner I would heard my steering wheel from the inside of my car make noises. I called to inform them of that and asked when would you like me to bring the car back to get it looked at? And informed him I didn't have anything wrong with my car before I left it there. The guy said you need a front in alignment and the other issue is something that was about to happen not nothing they did. Stay away. I took my classic truck here after having it at another shop previously who did a crap job. I came here because several years ago I had to have a transmission rebuilt and they did a great job..... not this time. This time I was having issues with my truck shifting and had some fluid leaks. After spending $624, I picked it up and they said it was good to go. They re-did the work I had done at the previous shop and supposedly fixed the shifting issue. I drove out of the parking lot and it still wasn't shifting correctly, I turned around and took it back. The tech, Estebahn, made an adjustment to a vacuum modulator and I drove off again. It was shifting a bit better but still not right. It was closing time when I had left, so the next day I called and spoke with the guy at the desk (he's an asshole with poor customer service and kind of arrogant) I told asshole that it wasn't shifting right still, but snowmageddon was about to hit, so I wanted him to be aware what they did hadn't fixed the issue and I'd be coming back after the crap weather was over. I took the truck back (shifts worse when it's cold and gets better as it warms up) and told asshole this. They had it 2 days, never heard from them the first day and had to call "still looking at it". Called the second day and wanted to clarify what they were doing should be covered under the cost that I had already paid to FIX the problem to begin with, ASSHOLE says "well it's an old truck, it's a trial and error process to figure it out" to which I asked, when it was new was it trial and error then? Technicians had prescribed diagnostic tests in place to figure issues out before computers, so I asked if they knew how to work on old transmissions. Asshole assured me they did but "it just takes time". All to my point that, don't release a vehicle to someone and say it's ready or good to go when it isn't. If I've paid you for a service I expect it to be fixed, not to keep paying you to "trial and error". Asshole stated "you just aren't getting it and we're talking in circles" when I kept asking for clarity as to the $624 bill and what they actually did to fix the problem of the truck not shifting correctly. I shouldn't have to continue to pay you money to figure something out when A. You told me it was good to go, and B. You knew the issue and should have been able to properly diagnose from the beginning. Now asshole says it's not shifting correctly because my engine and transmission mounts are bad ($24 parts) and wants to charge me $500 to replace those, but then says "your transmission could be bad even after we do that". So, you're telling me I have to spend over $1100 just for you to potentially tell me my transmission is bad?! Needless to say, asshole says "I think you just need to come pick up your truck". GLADLY, although I'll do everything I'm able to do to let people know to stay away from you, and seek out any recourse from a corporate/franchise level I may have for the money I paid you. I don't know assholes name, so I'm using the best descriptors of him I know how to use. Customer beware. read more

Told them I had a blown headgasket. They replaced water pump. Sent me on. Overheated again took it back air in lines they bleed. I leave it there for a week tell them to do everything they can double check it all money is not a problem. Air in the lines again(blown head gasket.) Took back they bleed tell me it's good. I drive my truck and it overheats take it to another shop. Blown headgaskets... mhm bet they never hooked the machine up that tells them their is exhaust in the coolant. This is a case of lazy incompetent mechanics and shop managers. I bet the water pump was just fine and it was the headgasket the whole time. They just didn't want to take it apart. I would give them negative points if I could so you don't have to go through what I went through. read more

We have a 2007 Ford Expedition with a P0658 code, indicating an internal transmission issue with an actuator, I'm not a mechanic but I've been working on my own cars for over 15 years, I know my limits and this is one of them. i took my truck to AAMCO and Ruben was very pleasant and cordial. After dropping off the truck, they performed a diagnostic which confirmed my suspicion, the transmission needed to either be replaced or be rebuild. After discussing this matter with Ruben, I decided to just not fix it as the truck not to fix it as it just didn't make any financial sense. Everyone at the shop was very polite, they explained everything with great detail and went above and beyond to provide me with excellent customer service. i know that dealing with either a major issue with an engine or transmission is something that can become very stressful and worrisome to anyone, however, dealing with AAMCO was not one of them, if anything, they made things better by providing excellent customer service. Needless to say, I will be back to this shop whenever I need to. read more

This is the best auto repair business that I have been to! They are knowledgeable, fair, have great customer service all at reasonable prices. I had taken my car to another place that could not fix the problem with my car. I contacted these guys to get their opinion of the potential problem, and was very impressed just speaking with them on the phone. I had the other place that could not fix my car tow it to AAMCO, and my car was fixed a few hours later! When they told me how much the bill was I was shocked as it was several hundred dollars cheaper than expected. A garage that you can trust is hard to find, so I am glad I came across this one.
