Had flooring installed by this company. Steve came out for the consultation and promised us everything under the sun. He advised to go with the most expensive flooring, lifetime warranty, and stated it was commercial grade/will last for a very long time. He definitely told us everything we wanted to hear. So we went with him. Within 6 months, we had to call him back out due to a couple of boards buckling. Possibly because they were installed very tightly. Calling him out was a nightmare. He fought us the whole way and was extremely rude to my wife. He became very upset when we reminded him of the "lifetime" warranty. He pulled out every trick in the book to avoid repairing the parts of the flooring that buckled. Within a year of installation, there were chips, buckling, gaps and lifting of some of the boards. I didn't want to deal with him anymore so I just left it alone. My wife reached out to Steve. Once again he was very rude when we advised him of the issues. He dodged our calls, stated he was semi-retired but not really. Not sure what that meant. But yet again, good old Steve was bobbing and weaving as he attempted to avoid the situation. At one point he blamed my wife for the damage to the floors. The below is after installation. In other words, after he got paid. 1. Horrible customer service 2. Extremely rude 3. Would not honor the "lifetime" warranty that he sells people 4. Material is not as he describes when selling the product BUYER BEWARE!!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY!!! I highly recommend this company. They did a great job! We are very happy with the floor they installed. It only took a day and a half for our whole downstairs to be completed. I will definitely bring them back to do my upstairs when we are ready. read more

We had water under our kitchen floor which means we had to get them replaced, and my realtor found Aamerican flooring. Steve came over the very next day, and brought samples and helped me with all the decisions! We ended up redoing our entire first floor because it wouldn't have looked good mixing and matching. We chose Helsinki grey laminate. Steve has a team out 3 days later and it took only a day and a half! It's incredible how quickly it worked out, and he really gave us a fair price. I purchased a 16 x 16 wool Tibetan rug,with the intention of using it for several area rugs. NO carpet shop wanted to touch it because of the fragile weave. Finally a local rug binder recommended Aamerican flooring. Stephen is very experienced and skilled with this type of rug. To cut it, he had to put latex on the back to prevent fraying and then use a special tape and glue to bind it. very time consuming. END RESULT was an exceptionally skilled and masterful job. His fee was also very reasonable for the time and effort he put in to the project. LOOKING FOR A CUSTOM RUG, LOOK NO FURTHER. PS I traveled 150 miles for his skills and it was well worth it !!! read more

I bought 3 rugs (2 Persian, 1 dhurrie) from flea markets. I attempted to clean the rugs myself with oxiclean, BIG mistake. I unfortunately made one of my Persian rugs bleed and also got mildew on them. So I randomly found Steve's business and he was so kind. I called around 8:30pm expecting to leave a voicemail (also, this was right after I "cleaned" my rugs and new I did wrong), and Steve picked up, gave me a fair quote and educated me on the type/care of my rugs. He picked up my rugs the following day, and had them ready within a week. Pick and delivery is FREE. He did an AMAZING job. Although he couldn't undo the bleeding I caused, he cleaned them WAY better than I could have. He got rid of majority of smell and they all came out softer than I expected. He came my house brought the samples we had talked about and gave an insanely reasonable quote. We then set up the day and time for installation and his crew was there on time and were super nice and professional. Everything was cleaned up and for a small charge the crew moved the furniture both in and out (which included an insanely heavy and awkward desk). I have to start by saying how absolutely great Steve has been to work with for my project carpeting my dad's new home. I am not from the area, and I found him on yelp, and after speaking with him on the phone, I felt relieved to find someone so knowledgeable and helpful. I could not be at the home to manage the project, and Steve autonomously took care of all of the carpet throughout the house, the baseboard, as well as some vinyl flooring in one room, without any direction. In fact, Steve actually helped me pick colors, and color coordinated the entire house. He went above and beyond, and I really appreciated working with him on this project. I recently had Steve from Aamerican Flooring install flooring in my house. We had laminate and carpet installed. I am very happy with their service. They were on time and easy to work with. The laminate downstairs was installed in one day and they had a four man crew. The next day they installed the carpet. They also had a four man crew. After the carpet was installed they even vacuumed. Steve took my extra pieces of carpet and since he had a binding and custom rug business he made me up 3 Area rugs for free. Steve's crew did approx 1,000 sq. ft. of wood flooring in our house about 5yrs. ago. Installation was detailed and flawless. We are hard on floors and were concerned about damage to the floors. To convince us, Steve put his keys on a sample on a let us grind them with our feet. No damage or marks. Last year, my wife accidentally dropped a heavy roasting pan from the attic onto the floor. We were sure that there was going to be some damage, and there was, the roasting pan got bent, but not a mark on our beautiful wood floors. Steve was great to work with. He was so accommodating on pickup and delivery. I had 3 rugs cleaned and bound. One was a very nice oriental rug that was all stretched out and did not fit the dining room anymore. I did not want to get rid of it because the color was so different and it went so well with my decor. I just hated how it looked in the room stretched and wrapping up the walls. I had Steve cut it down and bind it and it came out beautifully. I struggled with doing it but I am in love with the rug again and see enjoying it for many years to come. We found Steve at the OC swap meet (he's there on Sundays). He came out the following weekend to take measurements and give us an estimate. A month later we had a brand new floor! He installed 1600 square feet of laminate flooring for us in two and a half days. His crew is super nice and did a high quality job. They treat your house like it's their own. My wife talked me into having our flooring replaced in our entire house. We had a fantastic experience with Aamerican Flooring. Steve, the owner is VERY knowledgeable and trustworthy. I am one who likes to do the work myself, but once Steve came to our home and spent hours of his time going over the best options and pricing, it was really a no brainer to just have him do it. I feel a proper installation is really where the money is well spent. His 4 man crew led by Paul were amazing, very professional, fast and their workmanship was absolutely perfect. They showed up on time everyday and were in and out in 3 days which I couldn't believe as they had to tear out over 500 feet of tile first, float an uneven floor and then lay the laminate in 4 bedrooms, a family room, kitchen and living room. We went with the Republic AC-4 rated flooring and could not be happier. Oh and he is also making us an area rug for free. All you have to do is talk to him for a few minutes and I am sure you will be impressed. read more
