It's been 3 days and I have not had an Indian meal. Ofcourse I had to google Indian restaurant near me and we found this... though reviews were okay but I was craving Indian food, so decided to go. ? There was only 1 server and owner. What's with Indian restaurants and their lack of staff? I have seen this trend throughout the coast and it irritates me, waiting for simple items like napkins, or water or if I have to order again- in short service was terrible I have seen that they declined customers because the tables were not cleaned. Anyway, we ordered- * Egg fried rice: simple yet tasty * Chili chicken: indo Chinese style dish which was good- 4/5 * Chicken biryani: well, it's not a typical biryani (like dum cooked or any other variance), it's more like chicken pulav (gravy mixed with rice type)- but it was sumptuous. 4/5 They have spicy levels up to 10 and I choose 8. Surprisingly, the food was good, no doubt about that. This place has always been my favorite in myrtle beach! I've tried Masala Bistro and Bombay by the Beach but always made my way back to nirvana . Creamiest tikki masala, best garlic naan you'll ever try, and always fresh chicken and rice. The service is always extremely fast ! Road trip to Myrtle Beach. Me and the family get there around dinner time. At first the options were looking grim. Basic fast food spots, but then i came across this spot on quick search. Glad I did!!! Food was GREAT!! Goat Biriyani was spicy, flavorful and there was enough goat meat. Not just bones and fat. The meat was tender and seasoned well. The Gobi was fantastic. Great spice level and because its fried cauliflower it was a great light but savory appetizer. For both dishes ran me about $40 but the portions were large. Enough for everyone to get some. We came to town the day after the snow storm and almost every place we checked was closed for the weather. We did not have very high expectations but boy were we surprised by this little gem. We had the whole place to ourselves. The staff was pleasant and helpful and even suggested an off menu item a sampler of appetizers . The food was fresh hot and wonderfully spiced. Their naan was so flakey and tender and the chicken Marsala so rich and creamy. Come check this place out! read more

Excellent Indian food! I had garlic naan and lamb biryani, my vegan daughter had tandoori roti and aloo gobhi. I went for 7/10 spicy and my daughter medium spicy and both were perfect. Service was quick and efficient and the restaurant was nicely decorated. We live within walking distance and so will definitely go back! read more

Food was great! Got the vegetable platter appetizer, butter chicken, and garlic naan. love Indian food. It was around 7ish when we went it looked like they had a lot of takeouts but there were only a few people in the restaurant. They were so sweet and really enjoyed the atmosphere. We came in on Tuesday, 12/29th as the other Indian restaurants were closed. It was around 8.15pm, they told us there's a 1 hour wait as they're understaffed. Typical for this holiday week. So we decided to give it another shot, & came in for early dinner around 6.15pm on Wednesday, and got seated immediately. Food was so delicious, Channa saag was our favorite. Menu has a wide variety of Vege options. Do recommend this place on non peak times. read more

Staff was professional when we placed the order, and we did a carry-out order of: Buttered Chicken, Lamb Vindaloo, and their Garlic Naan along with an order of chicken fried rice. Only 91 reviews? This place is a hidden gem. I believe it was the owner that waited on us and he was so friendly and treated us like family. From the outside it doesn't look like much, the inside was clean and bathroom spotless. I wanted the butter chicken and he recommended one other dish. We made a day trip to Myrtle and felt like and Indian takeout for dinner before heading back. It's sort of deterring when I went to pick up my order, the guy on the front was maskless, didn't bother to put one on, took a good 10 minutes to run my card and never got the importance of masking in a pandemic. The restaurant itself was fairly empty with the exception of a large group in the back. Food quality- decent, reliable Biryani. Felt very regional to Telugu and was delicious with the hot spices. The Dal and paneer were decent, Naan was delicious and overall had all flavors in good place. Nothing was spectacular but it wasn't bad either. Given this is located in a beach city, it's appreciable that we have the option to eat Indian food! read more

As an Indian person my self who has eaten literally in 1000s of restaurants around the world- this place has got to rank the lowest. Saving grace was the nan bread . Went off the recommendation of a neighbor, and we were glad we did. Met at the door by Sachin, who was also our server. Gave great descriptions of menu items, and we ultimately went with the curry dish, one with chicken, the other lamb. Simmered in authentic tomato and onion curry sauce, both proteins were very tender and flavorful. Along with the entrees, we ordered Naan bread (onion/garlic), and each was delicious. To cap it all off, we both got masala chai, which was a perfect ending to our meal. Portions are very generous. Maybe next time for dessert. Vegetable appetizer was basically just deep fried onions four ways, the chutney and sauces were delicious though. The garlic naan was top tier super buttery and delicious. We thought the food was delicious. We ordered the chicken curry and the chicken Manchurian takeout. I added a note saying 'can be spicy!' And the restaurant called confirming my request. I love spice, and boy did they deliver. This will be my go to Indian for now on. The only downside is I think it's a little pricy. Nirvana- yaha par aaina mat aana. Food was OK. But services have desiness involved with the wrong intention to make money. They have it printed on their menu that a party of 4 or more will be charged 18% gratuity. We came in with 2 adults, one toddler, and a 13 month old. He didn't eat any food but he has to be with us because we can't live him at the hotel. I am like how can you charge 18% gratuity for this 13 month old? They said you said a table for 4. We love to try new restaurants, eateries and deli's when we're passing through places. When we went into Nirvana, we were expecting good Indian cuisine. What we got was outstanding Indian cuisine! We had mixed Vegetable Pakora and Vegetable Samosa appetizers which were both so unbelievably tasty. The garlic naan was very good. We also ordered Goat Chettinad and Chicken Tikki Masala which were both outstanding dishes! The real star of the show was the Kadhai Lamb which was the best lamb I have ever eaten. My wife who generally refuses to eat lamb had two helpings of it, it was that good. When we first got in there, the owner, I assume, listened to how we said we wanted to try a little of several dishes. We also asked about some of the dishes and he proceeded to explain to us how they were made. You can tell this man takes a lot of pride in how he runs the restaurant and serves customers, striving for the best and it showed in the entire experience. Back to the trying of several dishes. With what we said, he laid the table out for sharing so we could take off of all the dishes, each one with its own spoon, in a truly shareable style. I can't say enough good things about him, the restaurant and the whole experience. Had been here several times enjoyed the food. Came in with 5 people so they put me in the section with larger groups which was fine. Didn't want to be seated near the bathroom, as it was slow I didn't think it would be an issue, but it was as he was planning for future groups who weren't present. While we were at the myrtle beach going by the reviews we decided to try it out. Ordered togo goat curry and also confirmed it is goat not lamb and the restaurant did confirm it. While picking up the order the restaurant very conviniently gave us chicken curry instead saying that we gave them chicken curry at the order. There was no confusion about this while at the time of placing the order, it was pretty late in the night and ours was the last order their kitchen took so we reluctantly took it. They also very graciously gave us 0.50$ off that they otherwise charge for togo silverware if requested. Had I gone inside to get the order with my husband who went by himself I wouldn't have taken the delivery at all. My husband being stupid didn't think about complaining then. Only reason I am giving this restaurant 2 stars is because my husband eventually liked chicken curry too even though they messed up our order and showed such an attitude. While at myrtle beach I won't go here again, instead I'll go to the Bombay at the beach one that had great food when we tried from there. read more

If there was a 0 I would have done it. Came to this town for vacation and wanted to have some Indian food with family. First of all if you call to make reservations they don't answer your calls. Reached here close to 8:25 pm on Saturday night. They turned us around saying they are closed now. I was shocked to find out that they were closed at 8:30 pm. Their official posted time of close was 9:30pm. Thats just tells you right there that they are banking just on their name they had few years ago and now they don't care about providing quality service to their customers. I'd give this place 5 stars but I heard it was much better before. Regardless, the buffet had several options and it was only $12.95 for lunch on a Saturday. As soon as we sat down with our food we got fresh naan, which was nice and warm when we started eating. Parking is a little odd since this place is right off the highway, and backing out of the spot seems to be a matter of life or death, so park carefully. If you like Indian food, I've been told they're the best in the area by several people. I can't say for sure if this place is the best, but I can say it's the best that I've had.
