My Maytag dryer was not drying towels and sheets completely. I had to run to second cycle in order for it to dry. Eddie responded immediately. He diagnosed the problem. He replaced the dryer coils and voila! the dryer works great now. I also had him check my KitchenAid refrigerator icemaker. It was having cloudy ice cubes and flakes in it. He gave me many useful hints how to take care of my refrigerator and dishwasher to keep them in tip top working condition. He adjusted my dishwasher and realigned my refrigerator doors and showed me how to take the front floor cover off of my refrigerator so I can keep the dog hair from clogging the air vents of my refrigerator. Eddie was referred to us by another trusted Yelp business because they didn't work on Bosch appliances but Eddie does. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Eddie replied very promptly to my text with an explanation of what he thought might be happening with our dishwasher and a reasonable quote.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When he came, he actually determined that the problem was an even simpler fix than he had feared, so he did a basic fix, didn't charge us at the time, but had us wait and see if the dishwasher was working again. He said he'd hold on to the replacement part in case. I ran the dishwasher many times over the next week and it worked perfectly. Okay, I promised myself I would spend today writing reviews on my top three vendors of the year, so I would be remiss if I didn't include Abacus Appliance Service. They are always very responsive and I can't say enough about how much they care about the customer. There have been several occasion where the job was small to them (not to me), yet they wouldn't even charge. What? It's customer service and care that you rarely see nowadays. But that's not the main reason I would recommend Abacus. They really know how to service the various appliances, even the older types. We had both our Dryer and Washer serviced over the last few years. They even recommend what types of appliances are easier to maintain (i.e. we need to keep our less technological complex appliances as long as possible). Anyway, hope this helps. I have had great luck with using Yelp for service vendors (just be sure to use top rated only and also get three bids if possible. I had great service from Eddie at Abacus Appliance. He was able to diagnose our stovetop issue (2 Burners not igniting) quickly and recommended a repair that required him to order parts.
