There's a fast-food vibe ambience but the food isn't quick; I waited about 20 minutes for my food after I placed my order on the touchscreen at the counter. I'm not sure it was worth the wait. I got the "Chicken Bites Pile Rice" which was comprised of several crisp pieces of fried chicken thigh meat over rice strewn with radish, shrettuce, and julienned egg omelette. That in itself was fine - however the spicy mayo topping was excessive. It liberally covered the chicken plus there were generous lashings of the mayo underneath it. I tried scraping it off with a wooden spoon with limited success. "Medium" level of spice worked well for me. If there's a next time, I'd order it with the sauce on the side.

All dishes are served straight on a frying pan, which adds a fun and unique touch to the experience. They offer five spice levels, ranging from non-spicy all the way to Fire, so there's something for everyone. Portions are generous, prices are very reasonable, and they use halal-certified ingredients. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and lightly battered for the perfect crunch. It also reminds me of Korean fried chicken. I went with the non-spicy and mild levels, and both were packed with flavor. The BBQ pulled chicken was especially impressive. It's so tender and flavorful it honestly reminded me of pulled pork.

Needn't have worried as there was exactly "one" person there. Not a really positive sign. While we were in there, about an hour, three guys came in and a delivery guy delivered, that's it. Our server seemed distracted and uninterested, which is tough to fault, given the lack of things to do when the place is empty. The service was pretty slow even though there was no one in the place. The lovely K ordered the Wing special and a Caesar salad. Our server came and said they only had enough to make a small Caesar so she changed the order to a Spinach salad. They also made a small Caesar, and brought it as well. How do you not have makings for one of the three salads you have on the menu at opening? Shook my head at that. The pizza was also below average, I don't think they even make their own dough given its taste. There is no ambience at all really as the accompanying photos show. Overall uninspired, poor service and below par food. Hardly a recipe for success. Sad really, there is a significant investment in the place completely going to waste. We will not return.

I'm not sure why it wasn't busy here. Anyways we ordered 10 pc wings ($8), Truffle fries ($8) with Mimosa ($5). Chicken wings were okay. It tasted like something I can easily make at home. Truffle fries were amazing. The portion was big and it was packed with flavours. I hardly tasted truffle in it, but it tasted more garlicky which I didn't mind. Mimosa was great! Although I tasted some wine in it, the drink was refreshing. Service was pretty memorable. Staff were very kind and friendly they greeted and smiled at us. I've rarely been to an establishment where staff were so friendly and smiling especially in Vancouver. Ladies were doing fantastic job serving customers. Angry Otters is a great pub for a dining with friends or family.

Last time I came here for a Mother/ Daughter lunch with my daughter. This time it was a Mother/…read moreDaughter lunch with my mom, so I was the daughter this time. Mom ordered an M Classic breakfast while I ordered the Tofu Lettuce Wraps. There was no mention of cilantro in the description of Tofu Lettuce Wraps on the menu but I made sure to mention to our waitress anyways, "no cilantro." She asked if it was an allergy and I told her it wasn't an allergy but "I just really don't like it." Despite the fact that the menu never mentioned cilantro, and despite the fact that I actually specified, "no cilantro", I took a bit of my dish and to my horror, realized that there was cilantro in my dish. When I informed the waitress that there was cilantro in my meal, she offered to have the kitchen make it again, without cilantro. I opted to just choose an entirely different dish instead, so I chose the Avocado Toast. Guess what? Another lady came out a few minutes later and informed me that for the Avocado Toast, the kitchen uses a smashed avocado mixture that is premixed with cilantro in it. What is it with restaurants thinking that it's OK to not mention cilantro on the menu when dishes contain cilantro? I know I'm not the only person in the world who has an aversion to cilantro. The lady asked if I would like to have just plain slices of avocado on my toast instead of the smashed avocado mixture. Yes...of course I'd prefer that, and so I confirmed that yes, I would like plain slices of avocado on my avocado toast instead. Disregarding all the cilantro trouble I had on this visit, food was pretty good. Service was a bit slow though. I think I will take a very long break from dining at Milestones after this most recent visit.

Mom was reminiscing about some British restaurant that used to exist somewhere on the North Shore…read moreso I started Googling to see if I could find another place that might serve British food. Google told me about Queens Cross Neighbourhood Pub so we made a spontaneous decision to come and check this place out for our dinner. Mom ordered Fish n Chips, my daughter ordered a Caesar Salad and I ordered a Classic Queens Mac, minus the bacon. Honestly, I wasn't very hungry. I sort of wish I'd just ordered a Caesar Salad like my daughter, or even just shared her salad with her. Originally, my intention was to order light like her. However, when I found myself in the restaurant...it just didn't feel right to order a salad. How often do we find ourselves inside a British restaurant? Caesar salad just didn't seem like the right thing to order, especially not when my daughter was already ordering it. I felt like I needed to order something different so I could try more of the menu. Hence...I ended up with Classic Queens Mac. I ate about half of it, and took the rest home. It came with two triangular pieces of bread on top. The bread was tasty but honestly...I have troubles understanding why restaurants like to serve bread with pasta dishes. Unless it's a small serving of pasta, it just doesn't make sense to me cuz pasta is a carbohydrate...it's a very filling food already. I was so thankful though that my daughter wanted to eat one of the pieces of bread, so that left me with just one piece to eat. I tried a few pieces of the "chips" from my mom's Fish n Chips. Wasn't too impressed but then again, maybe I should have tried it sooner when it was hot. The fries had cooled down already by the time I tried. My Classic Queens Mac had plenty of cheese pull to it and I loved that they put tomatoes into it. I was also happy that they were able to accommodate my request to make the Classic Queens Mac without bacon. Some of their Happy Hour eats look very appealing so maybe we'd try to come here for a Happy Hour sometime. Wish they'd add a Sticky Toffee Pudding to their Dessert section!

Their wings are so full of batter and on top $18 for 8 average size wings is definitely on the high end. I got the beef dip sandwich and shockingly there is harly any beef. Please see picture. The bread was kind of stale and worse of all it was not even toasted. The au jus doesn't have much beef flavor at all. On the bright side its not salty au jus. The yam fries which I paid $3 extra tasted meh. The beef dip for for $22 is not good value given that it is mostly bread. B ordered the slider and omg it was super salty. It was the cheapest item on the menu but also not very edible. I guess it is their way of wanting to sell more beer by making finger foods super salty. We wanted the blue moon beer which was on special and that was sold out. It is the only beer sold out. I see a theme here. When things go on sale it is sold out. Decor is basically the old Brown's and nothing has changed much. I would not recommend dining here at all. This is probably the worse Wings out of all the Wings. We only came here because it was July 31 and everyone was downtown for the fireworks. Most restaurants have line up over 30 to 1 hour wait. Wings was the one that had no one and that explained it alot why. Their food is so bad that people rather wait then to eat there. People don't mind paying the premium price but the food experience is definitely very bad. Service was almost non existence. Food gets dropped off and no staff really come over. Guess they figure their business is not great at dinner time even if there are big events downtown. Not coming back for sure unless it is only for drinks. Drinks is the one thing they can't screw up on. The patrons that are already there are only for drinks.
