Affordable service, fast response, and above all friendly. I had a Mac, a PC, and a surface that all needed repair. They were very upfront about the surface being a tablet and any repair would not make it useful anymore. For the laptop, PC, they were able to restore the operating system, and it got it back to me cleaned. Even the WiFi issue was resolved. Most impressive was my MacBook Pro. It had been dropped, so there was a dent in the chassis. This time the battery was not working. In replacing the battery repaired the chassis as well. They have a plethora of other laptops and monitors that are heavily discounted. I strongly suggest taking a look at the options and any repairs to breathe new life into your computers. never got my apple laptop back. dropped it off to the young kid up front for a system upgrade he gave me a ticket with my name didnt ask for my number cause apparently they said they had it in their system. weeks passed by nothing no call so i went this time a older gent maybe the younger kids father not sure but he said they called and left messages and i never replied so they tossed it away. So i asked which number u called they gave who knows whos number and they said they couldnt do nothing about it. my laptop still says offline till this day .they said they were gonna check in there warehouse never got a call again. So i asked so what now i want my laptop then some lady from a office comes out and says they couldnt do nothing and for me to do whatever i had to do. i was like wow they even gave me a attitude and the lady in the office too. its crazy how u can toss things away when they left it there for service and still get blame for it cause u didnt answer a number that wasnt even your. i cant imagine how much space a laptop takes to be in your way to decide to toss it away even though it isnt yours and was there for service! Great little store and resource here in Santa Ana. Great selection of affordable and refurbished electronics and some office stuff. Some time back, my wife reached out to this place to hook her up with an old dell laptop that ran on an old Windows OS that could run an old program her work required (and refused to switch over to newer/more compatible versions, requiring she use their old desktops at the office). They took their time to understand her situation and found something that worked for her at a great price, allowing her to work from home before it was a la mode! ;) Fast forward to today; I needed a specific and not-very-compatible-with-other type of charger I constantly forget at the office, limiting the days I can stay away from the office for work. I gave Abarely's a call and asked if they had what I was looking for. Their reply was "yes, we know exactly what you are looking for, and we have it available for you for $20!" I thought I needed to replace my beloved 9 year old Dell laptop when it stopped receiving wifi and a hinge came unglued. I went into Abarely (covid protocols in place BTW) and spoke with Ulises who immediately diagnosed the detached antennae. He estimated the repair would cost $60 and it did. I was ready to spend $800-1000 on a new computer. The most important thing I want to convey from this experience is I felt confident and trusted Ulises. He didnt try to upsell me or add costs. Went because the power button on my iPhone stopped working. I called to see if they could fix it and if they had the parts and they said yes and said it would be $45 to fix. I took it in the following day and they took it and said they would call me when it was fixed. An hour later they left me a voicemail saying it was ready for pick up. Due to other obligations I wasn't able to get it until the following Monday and they had it ready to go. I paid and my phone works like new. I asked what was wrong with it and they said they didn't know because there was no water damage nor was the part burnt. They also said it was strange because the button still clicked, usually with those types of problems the button gets stuck so they were stumped as to why it stopped working but said it was all good and that the new part would last as long as I keep taking care of the phone. Came into my shop one day and noticed our 3 TV monitors were not on. Went to the back only to notice that my computer had the blinking orange light of death. This typically means your Motherboard is toast or you need a new power supply. Typically. Fearing the worse I showed up to these guys place and they let me know within 5 minutes what the problem was and the estimate of said problem to fix . Super nice, explained what it was and I didn't get that "I'm sooo much smarter than you because I can fix your computer vibe" if you know what I mean. 31 minutes later I was walking out of the store and back into that Santa Ana breeze.. and I knew.. it would be a good day. I'm currently typing this review from a new-build AMD PC that the folks at Abarely got to boot. Prior to going to Abarely, I was having a nightmare time with this build. I had been working on this desktop for 5 days, shuttling back and forth between my apartment and Microcenter for replacement parts. I couldn't do my work and was fairly sleep deprived from consecutive evenings of resetting my CMOS and continuously dismantling and resetting my system parts in an attempt to get the system to work. Microcenter Repair was just too expensive, charging $40 for just the diagnostic. Another prominent computer shop located on Edinger (Ulysses told me that Edinger Ave is the street for computer shops in OC and that before the age of online shopping, there used to be even more shops on Edinger) said they didn't work with AMD systems, but then fortunately referred me to Abarely. I saw the guitars and speakers sitting inside the window and for a split second thought Abarely was an A/V shop. No sirree, once I went in, I saw the stacks of computers behind the desk and immediately got a great first impression. Ulysses then came up to greet me, and after I explained the problem without him fazing, I knew this was the place that could fix my problem. They figured out the BIOS issue relatively quickly in just a few hours by manually resetting the BIOS and only charged me their diagnostic fee of $25 when I came back to pick it up. Additionally, Ulysses and Julio took time out of their work to satiate my curiosity and answer some questions about motherboards and BIOS. Again, these guys really know their stuff. Their knowledge spans from hardware to networking, with I'm sure a number of domains in between. I was just wowed by this experience. I consider myself to be modestly tech savvy, but I never could have figured out the problem without Abarely's expertise and equipment. $25 was just insane value for what they did for me and they spared me from much additional headache on top of the time I already spent. I wish I got wind of these guys right off the bat, but c'est la vie. Ulysses told me that Abarely has been open for 12 years, and I hope that my review can convince some more people to go there so that this shop can be open for many years more. As long as I live in OC, I will additionally make future hardware purchases through this shop to support them, even if I end up paying more than I would at Amazon, NewEgg, Best Buy, or Microcenter (Microcenter is a bit more of a special case, because they are a smaller chain and are still pretty dope all things considered, so this review is by no means a dig on Microcenter. IMO Microcenter is still one of the good corporations. None of Fry's sleaziness that seems to have sunk Fry's for good, RIP Fry's.) Nothing was wrong with my laptop only that the mouse feature was locked. If I could give this place a negative star I sure would employees and managers and the owner. I dropped off my work MacBook for a software update Sept 9 2021 come to find they disposed of it because I never picked it up. How is someone gonna know when they never called me to let me know. I had to call myself a couple times to ask if it was ready and the answer was no so I figured they would call me right. Well they never did they sent me a text message to a land line. Their answer was how were we suppose to know it was a land line. If u ask me if I was running a store and ask u for a contact number i would defenitely ask can u receive texts to this number right?? But they didn't so now it's my fault because they didn't know it was a land line. Common sense if it's something u do a lot u would think u would ask the customer right. Then the manager and owner come out and wanna get loud with me saying it was here for two yrs instead of trying to make things better. No where in there policy does it say I would receive a text upon completion also on the tech notes they deleted where it says he did stop by to see if the repair was ready . Got cut to he did stop. Not professional at all very un organized DO NOT DROP OFF YOUR ELECTRONICS FOR REPAIRS HERE!!! SHADDY MANAGEMENT AND OWNER... Defenitely gonna go about this the legal way and notify the BBB of California. This store is a life saver! Brought in a 2017 MacBook Pro 13-inch after I spilled liquids all over it. Gave me a free diagnostic check and told me that the laptop needed to stay over night because it was around 5pm when I brought it in. Got a call around 8:30am the next day and let me know that nothing was damaged and told me to come pick it up in a hour. Cost was $100 for the labor, but the price is nothing compared to the customer service and speed of their work! Used to frequent another local shop for my apple computers and phone repairs. Then COVID hit and they stopped having in house repair staff. I was lucky enough to find Abarely on yelp. Can't even begin to say how fast, efficient, professional and cost effective. I was definitely overpaying for far less. I've been here about a dozen times and have had the gamit of work done from screen repair to full on board swap on my MacBook air. Everytime I was amazed by how cheap and literally have never had to bring in my equipment a second time.
