Last year, we discovered that they made a small error in wiring our kitchen--they mistakenly didn't wire the refrigerator outlet to our whole-house generator. I called them and they ghosted me. We ultimately paid an electrician $180 to fix their error--a repair that took him only about 10 minutes. That wasn't so bad, so I dropped the issue and decided we'd just never hire them again. This year, however, something bigger happened. They had improperly installed a pot filler over our cooktop, using the cheapest possible screw anchors for a heavy faucet. We only recently started to use the filler, and the weight was too much. The filler blew off the wall, flooding the entire kitchen and leaking below into our basement. After insurance, we are still at least $9,000 out of pocket, and probably more since we'll be looking at retiling the wall no matter what we do. I know from last year's experience that there's no point to even calling them again since they won't return my call. I recommend that you stay away from this company.

Job took 12. -2 shower leaks that required drywall work and ceiling work post completion. -entire house covered in construction dust due to not sealing off the work area. Worker cut tile and mixed mortar inside the house. -Foreman told us to submit cleaning bills, then left the company. Owner wouldn't pay. A neighbor used them months before us, with a great experience. That worker doesn't work for the company anymore. Maybe we just had a post-pandemic labor shortage issue.... but based on our experience I'd never recommend them. Looks like all the review from prior years were great. Now? Not great. Full story below: This company charges labor, and requires the homeowner to procure the materials. Great. We worked with their design guy, who was excellent, and picked out all of our materials and fixtures. That's about where the good times ended. They quoted us two weeks. They started ten days late. The demo wasn't taped off well and our house was covered in dust. We hired a steaming company to clean the rugs and we had to deep clean everything due to the (no joke) layer of dust in almost every room of the house. I really wish I'd have been pushy about their taping off everything better. After the demo, the worker was cutting the tile inside the bathroom, so the dust never really quit. They finally finished at the six week mark. We asked a couple times for them to send help for our worker along the way, which they didn't do. They were well aware that things were behind. The employee was very nice, but not ever on time and until the end, didn't often put in full days. We paid in full at job completion as per the contract, but then discovered a leak the next morning. They came to fix it (and the ceiling below the bathroom) in a reasonable timeframe, only to have another leak in a couple days time. Had I known what we were about to deal with, I would have never paid them in full, because the compensation at the end of the project that we recouped was not enough. During one of the fixes, the employee scratched up the new bathroom shower hardware, so we had to order new stuff, which was "paid for" by the company in their refund check to us - but as I mentioned above, it hardly covered the trouble/damages. Long story short, the project finally finished twelve weeks after it started - for a medium sized primary bath. Shower, tile, vanity, fixtures. No tub. Two leaks. Scratched up hardware. We chose this company because our neighbors used them and loved them. Great work, fast. The guy who did their work? Not with the company any more. The guy who did our work? Not there anymore either. Our foreman? You guessed it. At the end of the job, the owner told us that he wasn't responsible for anything that our foreman told us (which is crazy, in my mind) and wasn't apologetic for the length of the job.

You buy whatever fixtures, tubs, tile, accessories and they charge labor to install. You also pay for any materials used to do the work, they provide receipts. We used them for a master bath remodel including new tub, increased shower size, (tub, sink, shower) fixtures, new tile floor, hang mirrors, medicine cabinets, and electrical heater. No new countertop or cabinets. We were told the job would take 2-3 weeks to complete. Job started on May 3 and completed on July 20. It was an adventure! They were a little cheaper, however, for the amount of correspondence required and project management required was not worth the the extra savings. There was a nice guy Dan who would come to help solve the problems. Always seemed like there was beef between him and the crews/foreman. Rafael was great in helping us pick out tiles and fixtures for things to match.. Took the time and met us at the store and spent 2 hours with us. If problems start to arise on the job, he says to contact him, but then he points you to the owner Tom which was disappointing. We had three different crews. There were several negligent, clumsy errors, things got installed that didn't work properly. Specific details below if you care. For an electrical change order I got billed via subcontractor, EDR tried to bill me for those materials as well. When final payment time came, I was billed for materials that they had to purchase due to their own repairs. In the end, I did not have to pay for the rework materials or the subcontracted electrical materials. I shouldn't have even had to argue that though with Tom. We have had one leak 6 months after under shower into kitchen ceiling, tape lines showing 7 months on newly painted walls and cracked caulk all around the tub. All have been fixed with the 1 year warranty we got. I would not recommend them for a remodeling job. Choose carefully. ---- Specific details of issues if interested: - Separated storm door from house, didn't tell me, found myself when trying to close the door after they left. - First crew stepped in between floor joists into our kitchen ceiling, took down almost full sheet of drywall into the kitchen. Piping chipped hardwood floor. Purple plumbing glue spilled on kitchen floor. - First crew built the tub decking the wrong size that had to be rebuilt with new materials. - Second crew worker fell down steps and broke arm - Third crew, after 10 mins conversation how to lay floor tile, floor tiles were laid in the wrong direction - Accent tile installed without grout spacing, had to be taken off and reinstalled - Inconsistent (charcoal) color grout on floor. In spots it was dark gray and other almost white. Was told sealing would make it better. It did improve, but still not correct to this day. - Crew couldn't find connector to install tub piping for 3 weeks. I ended up calling Kohler myself to ask what specific connectors were required. - Tub fixtures and sprayer did not work properly, both would be on the same time, diverter was not installed properly. - Sink drains were not attached to be able to open and close drain. - Shower drain was installed higher than the floor, so we had huge puddle in the middle. Shower floor had to be ripped up and redone. - Crew didn't know how to install the shower door. Threw away parts that were needed and had to contact company to send parts again.

We called Loudoun Roofing & Home Improvement because the ridge vents on our roof were damaged from…read morethe wind and potentially leaking. Other companies wanted to send a crew out to just "repair" the cheap aluminum ridge vents that the builder installed, but Esteban recommended a longer lasting solution. He went on the roof, took pictures and showed me the condition of all the vents. He then recommended replacing just the ridge vents with a better quality vent that would last longer and not be susceptible to wind and other damage. When he gave me the estimate, I was pleasantly surprised that the cost was very reasonable. Esteban and his crew came out 2 days later and completed the job it one afternoon. They exactly matched the roofing material we already had, and when they were done the roof looked like new. Not only did they fix the vents, they went around and re-sealed any exposed nails in other parts of the roof AND cleaned out my rain gutters (all just because they were already on the roof). I highly recommend Esteban and Loudoun Roofing & Home Improvement! They were quick, professional and did the work for a fair price.

I live in a 3 story townhouse and had a water leak in a bedroom on the top floor. The house was built in 2014 so I was pretty surprised that I was having an issue. The first "roof specialist" that came over spent 5 min in the attic and then 10 on the roof and told me he couldn't find any sign of the leak or its cause. Just in case, he said he had caulked where he pulled up an exposed nail and that I shouldn't have any more problems. Well, it rained the next day and the ceiling leak got worse. Luckily, I called Loudoun Roofing next and Esteban came out and wouldn't leave until he found the leak. He spent over 20min in the attic (which was like 100+ degrees) and another 30 minutes on the roof. He was VERY thorough and not only found the source of the leak, but also many other issues with drainage and some construction issues. Documenting with pics and descriptions of the work that needed to be done. Long story short, Esteban came out the next week, completed the work and the cost was very competitive with the other roofer that could not find the issue and wanted to do "exploratory surgery".
