My strawberry shake was the best I ever had. It was super thick, and was packed with fresh strawberries pieces. I ordered a small and it was still too much for me. My BF ended up finishing it. He loved it as much as I did. He said that is what he is going to get next time. He did not like his banana and strawberry shake as much as he likes my order. I tasted it. It was good. It just wasn't fabulous like mine. He ordered a large and it tasted like just Banana, and was not as thick as mine, and no fruit pieces. The cost for both was around 20.00. A little pricey for us on a regular basis, but nice for a special treat. I love the place itself, and tried their seasonal hot apple in a pastry puff, with cold Vanilla ice cream. That was amazing as well. They have a drive through, and walk up window. Most people seem to prefer the walk up window. They have picnic tables, to eat at. Plenty of space. A great place for a date night, special occasion, or night out with the kids. They have homemade Ice cream and shakes, seasonal items, and ice creams they don't make too. It's nice to drive by and seeing flocks of people of all ages, enjoying this place. While it might be the priciest ice cream place in town, they are definitely the best, cleanest, and friendliest. My pictures are a bit lame, because we went through the drive through. But I will get pics of their ice cream next time. But I highly recommend them. OMG! I haven't even finished my review and we've already been back. Ordered the exact same shakes. We both ordered them extra thick. And Voila!!! His was just as tasty and filled as fruit as mine. So That's the ticket right there folks!! Order them EXTRA THICK!!! Your welcome

We stopped by Bruster's Real Ice Cream on a whim and ended up so glad we did! Everything we tried…read morewas absolutely delicious and the service made it even better. We got a waffle cone with strawberry, vanilla, and Southern banana pudding--a dreamy combo of fruity, creamy goodness. The banana pudding flavor? Total standout. Tastes like summer in a scoop. We also had a waffle bowl with mint chocolate chip and New York cheesecake. Minty, chocolatey, cheesecake-y perfection. Every bite was rich, fresh, and super satisfying. Huge shoutout to the staff--our server was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful while we were making our (tough!) flavor decisions. You could tell they really enjoy what they do, and it made the experience even sweeter. Will definitely be coming back.

Ab Hurts are like Butthurts but worse, because having a sore arse is something we all get used to…read morefrom time to time (some more than others, like me when I dated this one ex boyfriend), whereas Ab Hurts are like... my f***ing tummy hurts so f***ing much I can't even f***ing eat. OK well I can eat but you know what I mean. Ow. Thankfully Ab Hurts are in no way associated with this, one of the best frozen custard places not just in Rochester, but in the whole world. What to get: Vanilla Frozen Custard What else: My mother's phone number' If they were a Beatles-themed store, they'd be Fab4bots. I came to this particular Abbott's just yesterday, and thought I'd branch out and order something different. I got the "Chocolate Almond Custard." Mistake! I forgot that I don't really like Almonds. It does add a nice "salted" taste to it though, but the texture was a little, well, nutty for me. It reminded me of Salted Caramel though, which was good. If they sold knives, they'd be Stabbotts. And the service was excellent! The one girl was in a bad mood (who took my money) because I was buying ice cream at 8.59pm when they close at 9pm (I didn't realize this!), and the lady behind me was making a food order. However the server girl was soooooooo nice and gave me a ridiculously enormous portion when I just asked for a baby size. Yay! If they manufactured electronic good-looking sports wives, they'd be Wagbots. This lobby, by the way, is not the nicest lobby to hang out in. A lot of the other Bill Grays and Abbott's have much nicer lobbies. But the vanilla custard is still the absolute bomb. If they sold blocks of concrete, they'd be Slabbotts. I'm going to borrow the rest of my jokes from the other Abbott's review, since I've now been to so many Abbott's that I'm running out of Abbott's jokes. There's something very special about Abbott's. I love frozen custard, but all custards are not created equal. I get so maniacally enthusiastic about this stuff that I usually end up in Police Custardy. If the people here were all overweight, it would be Flabbotts. And as I've said before, You'll find Abbott's inside Bill Gray's. It's a separate business that shares a space, much like Taco Bell/KFC do in many places. The employees inside work for both. If people were often abducted here, it'd be Nabbotts. It's one of my "best 5 custards I've ever had." I think I like custard more than ice cream, more than fro yo, less than real gelato, but that's beside the point. Focusing specifically on custard, which is sort of like soft-serve-but-creamier, the best in the country are Leon's in Milwaukee, followed by Nielsen's in Vienna, VA just outside DC, and then Abbott's in 3rd. After that, I think Cleveland has the next-best, and then there are a lot that are more or less tied. If Scientists worked here, it'd be Labbotts. There are many BG/Abbott's in Rochester, and a couple in Buffalo. In my experience they have all been fantastic. If it was full of Canadians and beer, it'd be Labbatts. I'm also glad to note that having visited Rochester and several new Abbott's, I do not like it any less than I did years ago. In fact I f***ing love it. If it were full of narks, snitches, rats and informants, it'd be Blabbotts. Anyway, it's still fantastic, creamy, sinfully delicious custard that is better than the next-best version (Don's) in the area. Come and give it a try and see for yourself what all the Rochesteritonianisticalishy fuss is Abbott. And if it kept changing its windows, it'd be ALT+TABbotts.

My friend and I both got a small cup of gelato. I sampled the cookie butter flavor and it was amazing! I opted for two flavors in my bowl so I ended up with cookie butter and cake batter and it was soooo good! I was surprised they had been open for 16 years when I inquired. Before leaving I decided I could get a few cookies to go to bring home for my parents. The woman who served us was very personable and i learned she loved in Rocky Mount NC for 18 years! We bonded over the fact there is no good, authentic Italian food in the south. It was a cute atmosphere with amazing prices! I was sooo surprised to learn that they had a full menu bc the dessert displays were exceptional! Thanks for an awesome experience!

The woman who was apparently responsible for being the only employee to serve both ice cream and pastries on a busy night was heard telling prior customers that they could get only one flavor ice cream with the small size and two flavors with the medium size. When it was my turn to order, I ordered the large size, thinking I could get 3 flavors. Nope, she said I could only try 2 flavors with the large, and that I am not allowed to have 3 flavors. I asked why, and this only seemed to make her ruder, as she then asked if she could serve the two people in line behind me. I don't know if she was of sound mine, because I cannot fathom how she thought it would be acceptable to serve the people in line behind me. I can only assume me she was trying to take her rudeness up to the next level so that I would get upset and leave. This young woman (a teenager?) has a lot to learn about customer service and customer psychology, because if course I told her it is not acceptable to first set e the customers in line behind him. My response appeared to catch her off guard, because she stammered and mumbled a sarcastic respond respond nse, and repeated it twice more, in case I did not hear her the first or second time. As a member of a 5th generation Rochester family, I have to say I am finding the current generation of high school and college age employees to be clueless and entitled. Many, like the one at Oriens Cafe, do not appear to care about their employer's business, as they discourage customers from returning, as a result of horrendous customer service. I am voting with my wallet, and never again will I give my business to Oriens. I will get my ice cream from Pittsford Dairy Farms, whose young employees have always been professional and provide good customer service. They motivate me to return often, as my business there seems appreciated, and they serve you literally twice the amount of ice cream for the same price.

With a variety of options on the menu, such as plates, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches with steak, chicken, pork, cheese, and fish, and an assortment of sides like mozzarella sticks -- there's really something for everyone to enjoy! They have slushies, cookies, floats, and ice cream for your sweet tooth as well. (I actually haven't tried those). Schaller's is known for their giant buckets of pickle chips you can help yourself to. This place opened me up to enjoying pickles on my burgers, honestly, because I always thought I didn't like them but I figured I'd try them again to see what the hype was about here, lol! I have been to Schaller's a few times with my partner. I usually just get a burger and a side. I have tried the grilled chicken as well before I started eating beef again. Everything I have tasted so far has been delicious and it is quite affordable, too!! If you're in Rochester, I feel like this place is a necessity to try. I think you will want to come back !!

Served in a to go box, my meal was as follows: the base is crinkle cut fries and macaroni salad, topped with a cheeseburger patty, then they add "hot sauce" which is a spicy meat chili and then onions, and mustard on top. It is for sure a heartburn city and it was perhaps two pounds of food. I did some damage here, not just to the food but probably to my diet. There was so much here that I skipped breakfast. But it's an experience and should not be missed. [Review 1524 of 2024 - 440 in New York - 22547 overall]
