I've been an Abby's fan since my parents first started taking me to the one in Woodburn when I just a wee one. Simply the best pizza I've ever had, hands down. And in my own opinion the one in Newberg does trump the one in Woodburn and only because they have bulk ranch dressing for my dipping pleasure. Linguica with ranch....it get's no better than that. And in my footsteps my 3 children followed, more minions for the Abby's Militia, they will sing the praises of Abby's until they can sing no more. Although the staff could be a bit nicer but I always hated working in the food industry so I can imagine that it is hard to slap on a smile at a moment's notice...although I always managed to....but those were the good old days. I have been going here since I was a kid. The Abby's supreme is delicious. Loaded with lots of ingredients. Maybe a little pricey...But to me better than the alternative in Newberg. Don't hit the salad bar however on a busy Friday or Saturday night...you won't find much in it. Service is generally friendly. However again on a busy Friday or Saturday finding a clean table can prove to be a challenge. read more

Very disappointed in the customer service. Drove 25 miles to have Abby's pizza tonight and came in to find 3/4 the restaurant reserved by people putting hand written notes on tables. Workers still taking orders and no where to sit. Was asked to move as we sat at one of the supposed reserved tables. Not very happy. No where else to sit we got crammed in a corner ate as fast as we could and left. read more

Pizza is EXTREMELY overpriced. Because of this we have purchased elsewhere unless we were attending an event at the actual restaurant. My daughter had a small 4 friends over for her birthday, so I decided to let Abby's deliver. We ordered 2 giant pizzas and 1 small GF. Almost $80 before tip!!! There wasn't enough pizza to feed 8, so I ended up having to order Domino's to fill them up. Sadly the Domino's pizza actually had more sauce and cheese. We were disappointed and wasted over $80 for Abby's. We love to purchase local and keep the businesses in town going. We won't be doing this again. read more

The pizza was very good but needed some sauce on it. I did not think it had any. Had I known what was in store for me (no sauce or very little) I would have asked for extra sauce. We wanted their potato wedges but because they are not a Corporate Store (whatever that is) we could not get that item. We ordered the pizza at 5:30 and did not receive it until 7:00! We requested delivery and I asked how long it would be. I was told 45 minutes to an hour. I realize 6:00 is their busy hour but one and a half hours? The people were all very polite and friendly. We'll order from there again but will call in the order 30 minutes earlier. read more

The pizza was pretty tasty, especially the grilled chicken garlic specialty. Lots of toppings, cooked just right. The restaurant was a mess, though, with no one bussing tables, plates out of stock, rather loud, etc. It did take awhile and is a tad expensive but better pizza than most. Pizza is ok, but nothing special. We're from the east coast, so pizza is a bit different out here. A very busy and hot restaurant when we were there. Chose to take the pizza with us because of the heat in there. Probably a neat place during the colder months. I recently moved to the valley and have heard good reviews about Abby's, so when it was time to order a pizza for delivery to feed the harvest crew I thought of Abby's. I called in my order, specifically telling the dispatcher to have the driver call me when he/she arrived as there are no lights on at the winery, and I would come out to meet the driver - dispatcher said no problem, and it would be about 45 min. After an hour with nary a peep, I walked outside to find the driver walking around the property with our pizza box not in an insulated bag - never called me. Driver stated "I didn't see the note to call you" - despite the fact that it's right there on the tag in red letters, on the box. I paid the gentleman, gave him a generous tip for delivery and sent him on his way. Unfortunately, once inside, we discovered the pizza was cold, the dough under-cooked, AND - wait for it - there was human hair on our pizza. YUCK! What the fuck. Lived in Oregon my whole life. Always loved and came to abbys for pizza because it's our favorite. Haven't been in two years since joining the military. Keep in mind in other states things are different for covid response. I come in order a bunch of food super nicely. I pay for my food and all of a sudden I get super light headed so I ask for a cup of water. One worker hands me a cup to fill, which I didn't think anything of and preceded to get my water. Another worker comes storming up pointing out a sign that was facing the opposite way from the station saying that they fill the waters. I say oh I'm so sorry I didn't see that and she continues to follow by saying well it's in big writing in the machine. I say I'm so sorry again I guess I wasn't paying much attention. She rolled her eyes and asked where I got the cup. I said another worker and she points directly at one and accuses her I said I'm not sure and she rolls her eyes again. That's all fine and dandy and all that they pore the drinks! Awesome in fact. But being rude and making awful facial expressions was not right. My apologies, maybe say that when someone orders in the beginning? Actually disgusted and will not be coming back. read more

Visiting Newberg from San Diego CA and was told this place was a must try. Arrived yesterday at 7pm and ordered a medium cheese pizza for my wife and I after a long day at our water Polo tournament, after 1 hour and 5 minutes and extreme patience finally decided to ask where our pizza was and the girl behind the counter said I was wondering what you guys have been doing over there for an hour drinking sodas...and this was the same girl that took my order, they can't find the ticket and my pizza was never made. The Manager is standing at the register next to her listening in on the entire conversation and never says a word, not even an apology. The cook comes out and says i'll have it ready in 6 minutes we never received the ticket. At this point we just want to get back to our hotel so we ask for it to go...while waiting the 6 minutes, the very apologetic gal that took our order came over with sincere apologies and offered us a coupon for a mini pizza and small soda on a return visit, which was nice on her part. The upsetting part was she said she asked her manager if she could do anything for us since we were there an hour and they never made our pizza and he said no, this is the same manager that listened in on the whole conversation at the counter. I really wanted to get my money back and just leave not cause of the wait, or the mistake but this managers attitude and flat out disregard for the situation. However we were hungry and the girl was very nice so we just smiled and accepted it. When the pizza box came it was obvious the manager and cooks had been talking about it so as we walk out, all the cooks standing behind the glass (pizza kitchen where you can see the cooks doing there thing) and the manager just stare at us like we were in the wrong for some reason, that just blew my mind. Felt very uncomfortable walking out when we were very polite cause we had no idea how long pizza took to make in this town we were visiting and tried to not be those rude, rushed out of towers. I'm a pizza fanatic and have been to many many pizza places. I like to give places chances, but the yelp reviews on Abby's pizza are right. I ordered delivery and it took an hour to arrive although it's down the street. My pizza is luke warm. There's no sauce. They forgot my ranch. The girl on the phone was cold and unwelcoming. And it's smothered in fake tasting cheese.... My vegetables including, I can't even taste the jalapeños or pineapples through the thick cheese. I'm grossed out to say the least. I belong to the abby's e-club and occasionally get coupons in my inbox. I received a $7 off Abby's Giant 4 topping pizza and it said that the coupon is accepted at all Abby's Pizza except Woodburn. I called the Abby's Pizza in Newberg and ask the girl if they accept the coupon and she said yes. I ordered my pizza over the phone and came in and showed the person at the counter the coupon and he said oh no we don't take that coupon and he pulled my phone out of my hands and said" see look at the bottom it says not acceptable at Woodburn and oh they messed up its supposed to say Newberg as well" I said it doesn't and I called the girl prior to ordering and she said you guys take it! He proceeded to Fumble around and say he'll offer me their coupon for $2 off and I said forget it I'm walking out he proceeded to Grumble on saying well it's because we're going to have to charge $34 for a giant pizza instead of $28 for a pizza to accept those coupons and we won't be making any money! Needless to say I won't be going back to this location even though he did honor the $7 coupon, he made me feel like he was doing me a favor I'll give it a 0 * if I could ! never again! read more

I was part of a party of 30 that was told to order 3 "large" pizzas to accommodate everyone. We ordered 4 and when they arrived they were hilariously small and provided about half the amount we needed. When we called back to let them know, we expected an apology and instead were met with rudeness from the manager who said we could have 3 more "large" pizzas for $60 and they would be delivered in over an hour. If I could give zero stars I would. We went there and it was fairly busy. We ordered our pizza. We sat and waited and waited and waited some more. Finally after 50 minutes I went and asked and they blamed it on the computer crashing. Everyone else in the restaurant was getting their food, but it was the computer's fault. By this time there were about a dozen people in the restaurant so pretty easy to tell someone in the restaurant didn't have their food if the staff was even halfway paying attention to the restaurant. The gentleman who I talked to was half-heartedly apologetic but all the blame was placed on the computer. We got a refund and will never be returning. read more

Pizza it is, legendary it's not. Pizza is cooked in a conveyor belt... Crust tastes like a bland cracker. Service leaves something to be desired. The pizza wash good! Always love a salad bar!! I was disappointed that they had a whole room sectioned of for video poker and one 3 games for kids! There where a lot of kids there and they where all crammed in one corner on the 3 games!! And while we where there there was only 1 guest in the poker room. We have eaten here before and the pizza has plenty of toppings, but it is just okay. We walked in and ordered a pizza a week or so ago and I asked the person taking the order to only put half the normal amount of red sauce on the pizza. I said it 3 times! Seems like a simple request, right, but no we got home with the pizza and it had no sauce at all, so it tasted like cardboard. I really didn't think I needed to check before we left the place. When I took it back they were polite and refunded my money, but it still a pain to drive all the way back to the place and it ruined our dinner. This never should have happened, but sadly it is happening more and more everywhere you go out to eat. So this was probably our last visit to Abbey's in Newberg. read more

Have always's loved Abby's Pizza, but........ we always and I mean always do take out only at the Newberg location. The salad bar is a mess most of the time, have seen employee's restocking it and not washing their hands after just cleaning off a table, this included picking up food off the floor. Have seen an employee picking up spilled food on the salad bar bar and putting it back in the food containers. This is against health codes, salad bars is where 60% of people get sick from. Again we love the pizza but will not eat in the Newberg location, take out only!. The owner obliviously doesn't care or doesn't know how to read, we know he doesn't know how to manage a restaurant. read more

This place has the worst customer service I have ever experienced! I do not think one employee smiled the whole time we were there. A friend went up to ask a question and after she walked away from the counter I witnessed the employee she talked to actually roll her eyes at her. They all just look like they hate there job. We have loved Abby's pizza for years! Had the best crust, thin and crisp, lots of toppings and not too gooey, just right. We went there last night for our usual pepperoni and mushroom...they have changed their pizzas. The crust was still crispy, hardly any pepperoni on the pizza, soggy mushrooms and way too much cheese, I think to coverup the fact that there was little pepperoni. We will try one more time, as they were our favorite, and hope that it is what we remember and love! read more
